Wait staff friendly. Menu is not that extensive. Several types of broth, meats, and fish to add to your pot. Was in the company of a Chinese-speaking friend. We ordered the pork-based soup, tripe, Australian lamb, and cod. Order came with a large plate of veggies, some meatballs, tofu, mushrooms, and rice noodles. I liked the broth, and the more you added, the better it tasted. It's a hotpot place so there's not much to describe. Tripe was the first meat in after the veggies. Then lamb was dunked and boiled to your taste. Last one was fish.... Came with a good-tasting dipping sauce too. I liked all of them and enjoyed it. One drawback, some of the cabbage, especially the stalks, had a little bit of dirt on them after they were washed.... It didn't really matter to me as I avoided putting them in the soup. Hello Yelpers! It's been over six years since we last ate here -- wow, time flies! We used to love the crispy chicken fried rice that came topped with dried scallops. Mmm, so good! The menu has definitely changed since then, but to stay close to our old favorite, we went with the BBQ pork fried rice this time. You get to choose whether you want the shoyu (soy sauce) cooked in or on the side. I had them wok it in -- maybe ask them to go light on the shoyu if you don't like it too salty. Still, the flavor was really solid and the rice had that nice wok-char you look for. We also tried the Salt & Pepper Chicken Wings -- super crispy, moist inside, and packed with flavor. So good! After the UNLV/ Hawaii slaughter..er ah ...game, my wife and I Ubered back to our parking spot at the Gold Coast. Boy, $5 to get to Allegiant Stadium but $30 to get back. Ouch. We were semi-frozen by the time the driver arrived so we needed something hot to warm up. Seafood Pho for her and Beef Stew Soup for myself. When they bring your food out, it is HOT. My wife was extremely happy with her order. Lots of bits of seafood and tons of noodles. I enjoyed my soup with bits of tender beef and beef triple. Not as many noodles in my order, but the broth was just what the doctor ordered. We barely made it in before closing so we lucked out. The highlight for me was the mango pudding. But honestly, and peace to the cook, this will be a constructive criticism- the food was a bit of a letdown. Maybe we just didn't pick the right dishes. About 5-6 dishes .. This is my go to spot when I crave some authentic hotpot. It's not all you can eat but it's very reasonably priced and the meat quality is decent. I always get their spicy herb broth with ribeye and fish fillets add on. I love their broth as you can see in the picture, they use the actual herb for their soup base, very flavorful and rich. You'll probably notice this casino as a whole attracts plenty of weirdos. I've visited here a few times but likely my last at this restaurant. For one, most of the wait staff when I was last here on a Sunday afternoon weren't attentive and communicated poorly. The bento boxes are good too, but if it's your first time here, get the hot pot. I usually get the lamb because it's the best in my opinion. They bring out the soup on the butane burners like you would have at home if you were doing it family style (some of the other places here give you a useless Sterno cup under your pot)... But not here! Now you're cooking with gas! Then comes the plate with all your raw meats and veggies. You can put them into the broth however you feel comfortable. I personally like to just swish the meat through to keep it rare/medium rare. Then when you are all done. You get to drink the delicious broth from all the cooking! This was actually the best tasting dish and it was quite good. Not too greasy. 2. Sweet and Sour Chicken- fried chicken pieces with sauce on top. It was very sweet, but overall not bad. Didn't feel too heavy. 3. Mongolian beef -slightly spicy, heavily sauced. Tasted OK. (All three came with egg drop soup, fried rice, and a spring roll, which were all average) 4. Dan Dan noodles - we were hoping for some authentic style noodles, but the texture was way too mushy. Flavor was actually not bad, but the bowl seemed like a pile of mush.
