    Got dim sum y'all
    Toni L.

A solid dim sum house on Spring Mountain, traditional style food comparing to Pallette Tea House. Causal vibes and for sure feels like a restaurant for local not a lot of tourist. Service was.decent we had to flag down our waitress for help a few times. But overall it is solid. Saw on the menu.they have live seafood which I want to try next time we are there.

Finally got my dimsum fix. Found this gem while searching for a dimsum place. Located in a convenient location with lots of parking. Service was prompt and the menu had pictures so makes ordering dimsum easier. Love seeing the Pecking duck hanging from the window. Food was fresh and portions were big and enough to share will be back soon.

Dimsum Breakfast in Las Vegas, Nevada... For our first meal during our vacation, I took the group to "Fortune"... I thought the name of the restaurant would be a lucky good start to our adventure together! We arrived when the place first opened. We appreciated the free, shared parking lot and beautiful interior of the place! We were taken to the back room where later, more customers sat with us. Service was okay. It was typical Chinese style... just business efficient. We ordered a variety of food: baked, steamed, and fried. Some items were great - like the custard tarts with flakey crust (I ate two!)... and some were a pass... Example: maybe the shrimp dumplings because the shrimp were chopped up and formed into something like fishcake? However, we all have different opinions. Personally, I didn't care for the chicken bao while our auntie liked the cilantro flavor in that same chicken bao. We all seemed to like the stuffed eggplant, hom sui gok (savory deep fried mochi), and potstickers. I thought that the baked cha siu bao wasn't bad, too! Overall, it was a yummy experience! Just order on the paper ordering sheet with photos and English subtitles. Remember to check the specials and tell the server which ones you'd like!

Food: dim sum E3 - chow mein C3 - steamed pork spareribs C2 - shrimp har gow D4 - sticky rice in lotus leaf E5 - XO sauce radish cake (lobo gao) C10 - spinach dumpling shrimp B10 - steamed bbq pork bun A2 - lotus seed sesame ball Pea shoots garlic (da do miao) Everything tasted very good and fresh. However, I feel the menu is more extensive at Lucky House Seafood. The top reason I would come back is for the Lotus sesame ball as that is very hard to find and I absolutely love this. The other standouts were the spinach dumpling (shrimp) and the xo sauce radish cakes. Service: service was overall ok. They were very attentive with refilling the hot water for tea. However, they said the lotus sesame ball would take a while and then didn't bring it when it was ready. We had to ask after like 20 minutes after all the other food was delivered. Ambiance: very authentic as there were tons of older Cantonese people eating here on a weekday for lunch. They didn't rush us out.

Stumbled upon this dim sum restaurant during the holidays because New Asian BBQ had an unbelievably long wait list. This place might have been a hidden gem because it looks like a hotspot restaurant. One may not know they actually serve dim sum unless you read Chinese. The restaurant is quite spacious with two dining halls and a BBQ station in the middle. There are also private rooms in the back. They do not have dim sum carts but offer a wide variety of dishes. There were seven of us so we were able to sample many different items. We had Shrimp Dumplings, Shrimp Shumai, Bean Curd Skin Rolls, Chinese Sausage Buns, Baked BBQ Pork Buns, Chicken Feet, Beef Rice Rolls, Egg Tarts, Egg Rolls, Sugar Cane Shrimp, Pan Fried Chive Dumplings, Fried Taro Dumplings, Fried Shrimp Balls, Fried Shrimp Wonton, Sticky Rice in Lotus Leaves, etc. Everything was delicious and piping hot. My favorites were the Sugar Cane Shrimp and the Pan Fried Chive Dumplings. The restaurant was nice and spacious with glass windows showing part of the kitchen. Service was decent and prices were reasonable. This is a solid dim sum restaurant with good and authentic food.

We've been to a few dim sum places in Vegas, so this time we decided to try something new and checked out Fortune Seafood. It's inside a plaza that was pretty empty, nothing else was really open, but once you walk into Fortune Seafood, the space is actually huge. High ceilings, lots of room, seating on both sides, and everything looked clean. There's also a Chinese BBQ section right at the entrance, and that's when we knew we picked the right place. We got there at the perfect time and didn't have to wait at all. The menu is massive and honestly really impressive, especially since we don't have many places like this back in Arizona, so sad. The dim sum menu is split into sections A through E, from the basic stuff to the more fancy dishes. Prices go up as you move through the sections, but it's still pretty reasonable. Obviously, we ordered a little bit from every section. The server was really nice, the food came out super fast, and everything tasted great. Good quality, hot, fresh, and just how dim sum should be. I'm really glad we found this place and tried it. Definitely coming back to try their dinner menu next time.

We usually go to the usual suspects for dim sum whenever we are in Vegas, like Yum Cha and Tim Ho Wan. The dim sums served there are okay. So, for a change, I decided to try a new dim sum restaurant I hadn't been to. I had high hopes for Fortune, which has 4.1 stars and 114 reviews - as of this writing. Regretfully, Fortune didn't quite meet my expectations. Several of the dishes, like Bean Curd Skin Rolls, Har Gow, and Chiu Chow Style Dumplings, came across as bland and relied heavily on added hot sauce and soy sauce to bring out any authentic flavor. While condiments can enhance a meal, they shouldn't be essential to make it enjoyable. The dumpling wrappers were acceptable, though noticeably thicker than usual, giving them a slightly gummy texture rather than the light, delicate bite I was expecting. The shrimp filling was at least succulent, but there was a faint, earthy, almost dirty aftertaste that was hard to ignore and detracted from the overall enjoyment. As for the egg tarts, they were just okay. The crust lacked the flaky, buttery layers that make a great egg tart memorable, and the egg filling tasted a bit diluted instead of rich and custardy. Overall, the food was serviceable, but it fell short in flavor and refinement. With better seasoning, improved textures, and greater attention to ingredient quality, this place could be much better than it is now.

If you only go to 1 dim sum place in Vegas, this IS the place; Fortune! It sure is a fortune in providing a huge variety of dim sum types but not a fortune on your pocketbook! So many choices with so little time! Service is friendly, excellent and the place is clean. We went in expecting it to be good from the reviews we read but we were blown away. We ordered over 15 different dim's and every single one didn't disappoint. All items are made to order, by hand, by one chef and beautifully presented piping hot to your table. Every item had its own unique flavors and packed with generous amounts of meat, fish, vegetables etc... Their hot chili oil packs a punch and is tops! We wanted to try their famous lobster noodles as they are hand pulled in house but were so full. Saved in the books for next time. However, we did order the walnut shrimp as a carryout and that was really good too. Favorites are hard to pick and list because everything was delicious but here are a few must order: shrimp shumai, steamed chicken bun, shrimp rice noodle, beef rice noodle, fried shrimp ball and pan fried chicken & vegetable dumpling. ** Keep in mind if you go, they only do dim sum until 3pm. So keep track of time as we didn't and missed out on the desert red bean sesame balls.

After being a loyal takeout customer for years- and having enjoyed their dim sum and BBQ dishes in the past- I came back to Fortune recently to try a few new items. Glad I did. The spicy fried crab special was a standout. Great flavor, great texture, and surprisingly addictive. Just a heads up: it's served over a bed of chilies and fried peanuts, so if you have nut allergies, this dish is a definite skip. We also tried the crispy fried noodles (often called Hong Kong-style noodles at other places), and they were a hit with the whole family. We liked them so much we ordered a second plate. I'd give them a very solid 8/10. For reference, the same style at Wynn's Red 8 is a 10/10, but nearly double the cost, so the value here is excellent. One more bonus: Fortune is dog friendly. They let me bring my small lap dog inside without any issue, which was a pleasant surprise and made the visit even more convenient. Overall, still a dependable spot with great BBQ staples and now a few new favorites added to the rotation.

Came here for dim sum and dinner on our recent trip to Vegas. As a group from NYC we are quite picky with chinese food. The food there may not be the best we ever had but honestly it wasnt bad at all. The staff was friendly. We like that we were able to get a private room at the restaurant. The dim sum was standard. I think if i had to choose i prefer the dinner food options more than the dim sum. For dinner they had a pumpkin cover in salted duck egg that was so freaking addictive. I can just eat that and be happy.

Feed your fortune at Fortune!!! :) Fortune is one of my fave dim sum spots in town! Items come out piping hot and the color menu with all the pics is a big help since this is not a dim sum cart type of place. You mark the items on the menu and they bring the dim sum delights to you!! In addition to the regular dim sum menu, they have additonal items available such as the lobster noodles and garlic oysters! Yummm!!! The food quality and taste is always consistent! There isn't a dish I don't like here! Their turnip cake (lo bak go) is really good and I am a sucker for their desserts! Their egg custard tarts are delish, which they do run out of so be sure to ask before placing your order! I recently had their ma tai go, which is a water chestnut cake (gelatin with water chestnut pieces in between coconut jello) and it was a perfect way to end dim sum! Not too sweet and refreshing! Service is great and parking is never an issue! Taste the dim sum fortune here!!!

Had dinner here with the whole family here a couple of weeks ago. There were 12 of us, including 3 kids. We were seated in a large room with a TV, which was great because it kept the kids entertained and busy -- well, sorta. The servers were attentive and accommodating throughout. The place had a nice ambiance and was clean. We ordered lobster noodles, hometown fried rice vermicelli, signature fried rice, crispy skin roast duck (whole), shrimp har gow, shrimp shumai, garlic choy sum, walnut shrimp, sugarcane shrimp, sweet and sour chicken, mongolian beef, and baked sweet cream buns. I wouldn't say it was the best I've had, but everything was good overall. The duck had good flavor, though it wasn't very crispy. The sugarcane shrimp, shrimp shumai, fried rice, mongolian beef were all good. The sweet and sour chicken and walnut shrimp were a little too sweet for me but still enjoyable. I loved their baked sweet cream bun. It didn't have a custard filling like I was expecting but it was still great, especially after I popped the leftover bun in the microwave for a few seconds. I'm actually thinking of going back just to order a few to go. After dinner, the kids played on the claw machine just outside the restaurant (still inside the building), which was a fun way to hang out and chill after eating. Overall, we had a great experience here.

Pork and Shrimp Siu Mai (5/5): The absolute highlight of the meal and easily one of the best versions of this classic dish available. The order comes with four enormous pieces that taste incredibly fresh, with every single bite packed to the brim with juicy, distinct chunks of real shrimp and pork. Bean Curd Skin Roll (5/5): Another standout favorite of the visit. The dish includes three large rolls cut cleanly in half, packed with incredibly juicy meat filling. It's especially delicious when you ladle the savory sauce from the bottom of the plate over each bite. Cream Egg Yolk Bun (5/5): A dessert that tastes like a cross between an egg tart and a sweet pineapple bun. The sweet egg yolk cream center is warm and exceptionally gooey, so you'll want to take your first bite carefully to prevent the runny filling from splattering. Salt and Pepper Squid (4/5): A very clean, airy, and crispy appetizer that shows zero signs of being fried in old kitchen oil. While the batter leans a bit light on the expected salt and savory seasoning, the abundance of thinly sliced fresh jalapeno peppers added a spicy kick. Sticky Rice in Lotus Leaf (4/5): A very solid, comforting option with excellent overall flavor throughout the rice, though the savory meat filling hidden inside the center felt a little sparse. Beef Tripe with Ginger and Scallion (4/5): A dim sum staple featuring an incredibly delicious, gingery sauce and great savory flavor. Beef Congee (4/5): We ordered the medium-sized bowl, which easily yielded at least 4 smaller bowls of congee, making it a perfect shared carb to round out the meal. It had a comforting consistency with a subtle note of ginger, though it personally sits just below a traditional preserved egg and pork style for me. Logistics Tip: Arriving around noon on the weekend means encountering a packed house, but the staff moves the crowd efficiently and gets tables turned over in short order. You place your order by marking your selections directly onto a paper slip, and the kitchen sends items out to your table as soon as they're ready, meaning dishes will arrive in a random, staggered flow throughout your dining experience.

You read right. That is exactly what I ordered. I phoned in my order. Gentleman on the other line was cordial and nice. I had to wait an hour for my order to be ready because they ran out of roasted pork belly and had to make some more. It was all good. Plenty for me to do in the meantime. My order was still being prepared upon arrival. They gave us water while we waited. Thanks! Paid for my order in cash. Btw, they accept CASH ONLY. Lady staff who collected payment and gave us our food were pleasant and friendly. Thank you ladies! Roasted duck looked so good... skin was shiny and crispy, meat was tender, fat was delicious. YUMMY! Roasted pork belly was tasty, but I feel it needed a bit more fat. Curry fish balls were bouncy and mighty appetizing. DELISH! All in all, everything was great once again.

It is located in the Trop Plaza on Tropicana Ave and Decatur Blvd. Plenty of parking. Spacious inside with lots of seating. Klaws and other games were near the entrance which I find interesting especially in a Chinese restaurant. We were greeted and seated right away. They weren't super busy on a Monday late morning. Our server was pleasant and amicable. He attended to us frequently throughout our dining. Other lady servers brought us our food timely. Thank you All! Menu offers quite a variety... reg dim sum, delicious dim sum, chef specialties, house specialties, super dim sum, vegan no-meat dim sum, congee, noodles, rice dishes, appetizers, entrees, lunch specials, and more. Prices of the dim sum vary from $5.98 and up. We chose a handful of dim sum and one Shrimp & Pork Wonton Egg Noodles. Overall, dim sum was decent. A few of them could have been better in preparation, flavor, and taste. Wonton noodles were tasty. *Bean Sauce Chicken Feet - skin was on the tougher side, could have been more tender, sauce was too thick, flavor was okay *Crispy Taro Pancake - top layer was crispy, but taro fell apart when picked up by chopsticks *Egg Tarts - light and flaky crust with soft, smooth & jiggly egg custard filling, amazingly good, definitely would get again, wished it came with 3 instead of 2, they are bigger than normal egg tarts, but still *Fried Pork Ball - just okay, nothing special *Golden Sand Lava - huge baked bun with lots of oozing sandy egg yolk, must get! *Shrimp Dumpling - full of shrimps in thin skin, tasty filling, good size, worth the price! *Shrimp & Pork Chives Dumpling - more chives than shrimp and pork, flavor was mediocre *Shrimp & Pork Shumai - surprisingly flavorful, but wished there was more shrimp than pork Glad we got a chance to try this place. I would return to try their other dim sum and lunch specials in future LV visits. Worth stopping by if you haven'ty already.

Set up was a little different, no carts, but there was a huge counter that displayed a lot of the dim sum...similar to take out counter in a market. They do table service and order from menu. Menu had a lot of photos and easy to navigate. The good: turnip cake-crispy and not oily, flavor of wonton Soup was good, Gai lan Chinese broccoli was tasty. Dumplings like Hargow, and siu Mai tasted a little old. Wrapper dry and filling was denser in texture. Tripe stew had good flavor but texture was mushy (passed the point of tender) Service was fine, staff was available when needed, but overall felt quality/ambiance could be better. Maybe better during prime time or breakfast.

I can't believe I haven't written about my favorite dim sum restaurant in Las Vegas! When I heard…read morethat the owners of San Francisco's Koi Palace were launching this concept, I was close to the first in line when they opened. It's been top notch since the very first visit. I have taken friends, clients, and colleagues, and the response has been uniformly positive. The menu has changed over time, but the dim sum classics are all there, often with a nouveau twist. What really got me was coming for dinner with a large group, where we could really savor the seafood, noodle, and meat dishes. I'm not going to run down the list because everything I've tried has been excellent, and I've tried most of the menu. We always enjoy decapitating the crispy mochi ducklings, filled of course with minced pork. The wagyu steak and wagyu fried rice, the xiao long bao with vinegar caviar, and salt and pepper tofu are all winners. The interiors are beautiful and give a different feel wherever you sit. Bring a friend or bring a large group and go to town.

We had what I think was a decent amount for 5 people and paid over $200 without any of the more expensive menu items, only dumplings. For the price and what we got, I don't think it was worth the price tag. Alright, the foods. Pork soup dumplings, rainbow shrimp dumpling, pork shrimp shu mai, chicken shu mai, bbq pork bao buns, pork belly bao buns, the ducklings, crunch dragon wings, chicken satay, and the eel crispy rice. Everything was good, but the best of the bunch were the pork soup dumplings and the eel crispy rice. The pork soup dumplings came with a black vinegar "caviar" that complimented the flavors in the soup portion. The crispy eel rice had a great char on the eel and the rice was crispy without being overly crunchy. According to kid 3, the notable mention was the crunch dragon wings that had the "perfect spice and really crunchy skin." Oh, and kid 1 was not a fan of the ducklings, she realized that she's not a fan of 5-spice which these had an overpowering flavor of. Overall, great experience but for the price we paid vs what we got was not worth it. The lychee martini! That was sensational, if you're 21 and enjoy a sweeter cocktail, this one is for you! Service was top notch, the ladies and gentlemen know what they are doing there.

Overall, there are standouts in their food that I can point to. We did sample a variety of dishes so I will choose the positive ones to recommend. Firstly, service was outstanding, water filled often, attentive and if your plate has been full of entrees before, you are provided new plates. The food was served dim sum style with one or two dishes at a time. The hospitality is top notch especially serving such a large group. The duck was the highlight, definitely should be ordered. Beef with red and green peppers tasty and tender. The desserts including the sesame ball which was delightful. Would recommend to large groups but make reservations! Great for celebrating
