Dimsum Breakfast in Las Vegas, Nevada... For our first meal during our vacation, I took the group to "Fortune"... I thought the name of the restaurant would be a lucky good start to our adventure together! We arrived when the place first opened. We appreciated the free, shared parking lot and beautiful interior of the place! We were taken to the back room where later, more customers sat with us. Service was okay. It was typical Chinese style... just business efficient. We ordered a variety of food: baked, steamed, and fried. Some items were great - like the custard tarts with flakey crust (I ate two!)... and some were a pass... Example: maybe the shrimp dumplings because the shrimp were chopped up and formed into something like fishcake? However, we all have different opinions. Personally, I didn't care for the chicken bao while our auntie liked the cilantro flavor in that same chicken bao. We all seemed to like the stuffed eggplant, hom sui gok (savory deep fried mochi), and potstickers. I thought that the baked cha siu bao wasn't bad, too! Overall, it was a yummy experience! Just order on the paper ordering sheet with photos and English subtitles. Remember to check the specials and tell the server which ones you'd like!

Food: dim sum E3 - chow mein C3 - steamed pork spareribs C2 - shrimp har gow D4 - sticky rice in lotus leaf E5 - XO sauce radish cake (lobo gao) C10 - spinach dumpling shrimp B10 - steamed bbq pork bun A2 - lotus seed sesame ball Pea shoots garlic (da do miao) Everything tasted very good and fresh. However, I feel the menu is more extensive at Lucky House Seafood. The top reason I would come back is for the Lotus sesame ball as that is very hard to find and I absolutely love this. The other standouts were the spinach dumpling (shrimp) and the xo sauce radish cakes. Service: service was overall ok. They were very attentive with refilling the hot water for tea. However, they said the lotus sesame ball would take a while and then didn't bring it when it was ready. We had to ask after like 20 minutes after all the other food was delivered. Ambiance: very authentic as there were tons of older Cantonese people eating here on a weekday for lunch. They didn't rush us out.

Stumbled upon this dim sum restaurant during the holidays because New Asian BBQ had an unbelievably long wait list. This place might have been a hidden gem because it looks like a hotspot restaurant. One may not know they actually serve dim sum unless you read Chinese. The restaurant is quite spacious with two dining halls and a BBQ station in the middle. There are also private rooms in the back. They do not have dim sum carts but offer a wide variety of dishes. There were seven of us so we were able to sample many different items. We had Shrimp Dumplings, Shrimp Shumai, Bean Curd Skin Rolls, Chinese Sausage Buns, Baked BBQ Pork Buns, Chicken Feet, Beef Rice Rolls, Egg Tarts, Egg Rolls, Sugar Cane Shrimp, Pan Fried Chive Dumplings, Fried Taro Dumplings, Fried Shrimp Balls, Fried Shrimp Wonton, Sticky Rice in Lotus Leaves, etc. Everything was delicious and piping hot. My favorites were the Sugar Cane Shrimp and the Pan Fried Chive Dumplings. The restaurant was nice and spacious with glass windows showing part of the kitchen. Service was decent and prices were reasonable. This is a solid dim sum restaurant with good and authentic food.

We've been to a few dim sum places in Vegas, so this time we decided to try something new and checked out Fortune Seafood. It's inside a plaza that was pretty empty, nothing else was really open, but once you walk into Fortune Seafood, the space is actually huge. High ceilings, lots of room, seating on both sides, and everything looked clean. There's also a Chinese BBQ section right at the entrance, and that's when we knew we picked the right place. We got there at the perfect time and didn't have to wait at all. The menu is massive and honestly really impressive, especially since we don't have many places like this back in Arizona, so sad. The dim sum menu is split into sections A through E, from the basic stuff to the more fancy dishes. Prices go up as you move through the sections, but it's still pretty reasonable. Obviously, we ordered a little bit from every section. The server was really nice, the food came out super fast, and everything tasted great. Good quality, hot, fresh, and just how dim sum should be. I'm really glad we found this place and tried it. Definitely coming back to try their dinner menu next time.

We usually go to the usual suspects for dim sum whenever we are in Vegas, like Yum Cha and Tim Ho Wan. The dim sums served there are okay. So, for a change, I decided to try a new dim sum restaurant I hadn't been to. I had high hopes for Fortune, which has 4.1 stars and 114 reviews - as of this writing. Regretfully, Fortune didn't quite meet my expectations. Several of the dishes, like Bean Curd Skin Rolls, Har Gow, and Chiu Chow Style Dumplings, came across as bland and relied heavily on added hot sauce and soy sauce to bring out any authentic flavor. While condiments can enhance a meal, they shouldn't be essential to make it enjoyable. The dumpling wrappers were acceptable, though noticeably thicker than usual, giving them a slightly gummy texture rather than the light, delicate bite I was expecting. The shrimp filling was at least succulent, but there was a faint, earthy, almost dirty aftertaste that was hard to ignore and detracted from the overall enjoyment. As for the egg tarts, they were just okay. The crust lacked the flaky, buttery layers that make a great egg tart memorable, and the egg filling tasted a bit diluted instead of rich and custardy. Overall, the food was serviceable, but it fell short in flavor and refinement. With better seasoning, improved textures, and greater attention to ingredient quality, this place could be much better than it is now.

Came here for dim sum and dinner on our recent trip to Vegas. As a group from NYC we are quite picky with chinese food. The food there may not be the best we ever had but honestly it wasnt bad at all. The staff was friendly. We like that we were able to get a private room at the restaurant. The dim sum was standard. I think if i had to choose i prefer the dinner food options more than the dim sum. For dinner they had a pumpkin cover in salted duck egg that was so freaking addictive. I can just eat that and be happy.

After being a loyal takeout customer for years- and having enjoyed their dim sum and BBQ dishes in the past- I came back to Fortune recently to try a few new items. Glad I did. The spicy fried crab special was a standout. Great flavor, great texture, and surprisingly addictive. Just a heads up: it's served over a bed of chilies and fried peanuts, so if you have nut allergies, this dish is a definite skip. We also tried the crispy fried noodles (often called Hong Kong-style noodles at other places), and they were a hit with the whole family. We liked them so much we ordered a second plate. I'd give them a very solid 8/10. For reference, the same style at Wynn's Red 8 is a 10/10, but nearly double the cost, so the value here is excellent. One more bonus: Fortune is dog friendly. They let me bring my small lap dog inside without any issue, which was a pleasant surprise and made the visit even more convenient. Overall, still a dependable spot with great BBQ staples and now a few new favorites added to the rotation.

If you only go to 1 dim sum place in Vegas, this IS the place; Fortune! It sure is a fortune in providing a huge variety of dim sum types but not a fortune on your pocketbook! So many choices with so little time! Service is friendly, excellent and the place is clean. We went in expecting it to be good from the reviews we read but we were blown away. We ordered over 15 different dim's and every single one didn't disappoint. All items are made to order, by hand, by one chef and beautifully presented piping hot to your table. Every item had its own unique flavors and packed with generous amounts of meat, fish, vegetables etc... Their hot chili oil packs a punch and is tops! We wanted to try their famous lobster noodles as they are hand pulled in house but were so full. Saved in the books for next time. However, we did order the walnut shrimp as a carryout and that was really good too. Favorites are hard to pick and list because everything was delicious but here are a few must order: shrimp shumai, steamed chicken bun, shrimp rice noodle, beef rice noodle, fried shrimp ball and pan fried chicken & vegetable dumpling. ** Keep in mind if you go, they only do dim sum until 3pm. So keep track of time as we didn't and missed out on the desert red bean sesame balls.

Feed your fortune at Fortune!!! :) Fortune is one of my fave dim sum spots in town! Items come out piping hot and the color menu with all the pics is a big help since this is not a dim sum cart type of place. You mark the items on the menu and they bring the dim sum delights to you!! In addition to the regular dim sum menu, they have additonal items available such as the lobster noodles and garlic oysters! Yummm!!! The food quality and taste is always consistent! There isn't a dish I don't like here! Their turnip cake (lo bak go) is really good and I am a sucker for their desserts! Their egg custard tarts are delish, which they do run out of so be sure to ask before placing your order! I recently had their ma tai go, which is a water chestnut cake (gelatin with water chestnut pieces in between coconut jello) and it was a perfect way to end dim sum! Not too sweet and refreshing! Service is great and parking is never an issue! Taste the dim sum fortune here!!!

Came here for the Peking duck and was not disappointed! It was juicy and perfectly cooked with tons of flavor. We also got fish with pickled veg and pea shoots, both also with tons of flavor. The service, like any great Asian restaurant, is fast and efficient and the restaurant space itself has the classic lazy Susan's and fresh fish and crab tanks.

I was drawn to this place by the fragrance of Peking duck wafting from the front door into my nose; this place did not disappoint. The service was quick and they had 3 entrees out within 10 mins. The quickness of the food delivery did not take away from the quality it was served. Every bite was more delectable than the last. The restaurant itself had a fresh new vibe without losing the traditional touch.

Took my elderly mother for Winter Solstice dinner. Foods are light and delicious! Garlic oysters - 4 large ones- 19.99! The only thing is that It could use a bit more seasoning...Lobster Egg noodles $24 is very tasty. Both of the dishes are in promotion! Definitely worth the value! Sweet and Sour Pork is very delicious! One of the best ones I've ever tasted! Walnut shrimps is another great one, crunchy, crispy and yet light! Not too sweet! It tastes better than some other well known restaurants! Highly recommended! Services are efficient and pleasant. The restaurant has very high ceilings which make you feel spacious. Will return again!

Had dinner here with the whole family here a couple of weeks ago. There were 12 of us, including 3 kids. We were seated in a large room with a TV, which was great because it kept the kids entertained and busy -- well, sorta. The servers were attentive and accommodating throughout. The place had a nice ambiance and was clean. We ordered lobster noodles, hometown fried rice vermicelli, signature fried rice, crispy skin roast duck (whole), shrimp har gow, shrimp shumai, garlic choy sum, walnut shrimp, sugarcane shrimp, sweet and sour chicken, mongolian beef, and baked sweet cream buns. I wouldn't say it was the best I've had, but everything was good overall. The duck had good flavor, though it wasn't very crispy. The sugarcane shrimp, shrimp shumai, fried rice, mongolian beef were all good. The sweet and sour chicken and walnut shrimp were a little too sweet for me but still enjoyable. I loved their baked sweet cream bun. It didn't have a custard filling like I was expecting but it was still great, especially after I popped the leftover bun in the microwave for a few seconds. I'm actually thinking of going back just to order a few to go. After dinner, the kids played on the claw machine just outside the restaurant (still inside the building), which was a fun way to hang out and chill after eating. Overall, we had a great experience here.

The veggies were well seasoned and still had a nice bite while being cooked through. Rice is typical Chinese rice that doesn't clump together (tasted fresh and that it was cooked that day too), and the tofu pudding was delicious (nice and silky with a sweet ginger syrup). It's my first time here so I don't know whether it's a fluke or it's just a different chef, or the regular chef has an 'off' day. The place is really nice though with pretty tablecloths and nice chair covers. Service is good. But overall -- for a Chinese restaurant- it all boils down to the taste of the food. Maybe I'll give it another try in the future. We'll see.

It's airy, crispy, perfectly sweet, and soft all at the same time. I usually hate when BBQ buns have a strong porky taste, but this one didn't at all. The meat was tender and paired perfectly with the "pineapple-style" crust on the bun. You have to try this if you come here. We also got the radish cake, shumai, sticky rice in lotus leaf, shrimp rice rolls, and deep-fried shrimp-stuffed eggplant. Everything was good, but I especially loved the radish cake and the deep-fried eggplant with shrimp. The radish cake had such a great texture and a rich, savory flavor. It was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and the chunks of meat paired so well with it. Easily one of the best radish cakes I've had at a dim sum place.
