The place was pretty busy, so we decided to stop in before heading to an event. You order at the counter and everything is served in carryout containers, even if you're dining in. I'm not a fan of that setup, mainly because of all the plastic being used. It feels wasteful, especially when every dish ends up in the trash. The portions were large, but for me, quality matters more than quantity. The food was just okay. I also noticed they stored a lot of inventory in the dining area, which made the space feel cluttered and a bit awkward. You're expected to set up and bus your own table as well. Real talk, Yelp fam...Noodle Decatur reviews can be a little bit controversial LOL. Over the years, I've noticed people either really like it or they don't (and everything in between). And with all the options in Atlanta for sushi, noodles, or amazing Asian-inspired dishes, why come here? Technically, Noodle is in downtown Decatur near the city. It's a family-owned local business, which I really appreciate it. The menu pulls from a mix of Asian cuisines, which definitely shows when you're checking out the choices. I've never dined it, so Delivery or Takeout is my "go to". On this most recent visit, after a long road trip to ATL...I needed an energy boost (in the form of sushi :-). Noodle gave me exactly what I needed, which is why I keep coming back: You know how there are just certain places that do things just the way you like them? That's Noodle for me! When I want something tasty, reasonably priced, and fast, they just get me! And the couple times when they didn't get something quite right, the staff has been quick to make it better, so I'll give them credit for great customer service, too. This quaint little spot is one of my favorite places for a quick lunch. The staff is extremely attentive and very quick. After the lockdown, Noodle did not return to full service anymore. Instead, they do a 'to-go' system, where you order at the counter, receive your food to-go, but can stay and eat at the restaurant. Technically, no waiting staff. Which works and gets people in me out quickly. Their food has always been on-point. I particularly steer towards the famous fried rice, which is delicious. But at times it can be a bit greasy. So keep an eye on it if you're on a diet. Well... it's also a massive portion that seems to be for a family of four, but for the price and the flavor.. this is the best deal. The sushi is always good as well. They are not a sushi restaurant, so they don't have full offerings that you're likely to see in some bigger restaurants, but they do well with what they do offer. My favorite so far is the crunchy tuna roll. With a nice topping of yum yum sauce... it gives it the extra edge. Overall, I really like the neighborhood feel of the restaurant. Sadly this uses to be one of my favorite Decatur places but not any longer. The new owners suck. The new people can't even take an order properly. I really miss the old crew. All of my favorite people left. The food has gone downhill too. The dumplings have changed and the sushi rice is different. The "famous" fried rice isn't famous anymore, subpar at best. My go to order because it's so good every time is always pork dumplings steamed, the dragon roll (I know this is basic but this is one of the best dragon rolls I've ever had), and if my husband's eating with me then the house fried rice. My work ordered takeout from here yesterday (I can't speak on service or ambiance because my coworker picked it up for us all). For my lunch, I chose to Build-a-Bowl : brown rice, chicken, broccoli, mushrooms, bell pepper, spicy basil sauce. Over all, it was okay! The sauce was not spicy at all so I had to use my own to amp it up. The chicken kind of reminded me of the kind you can get in the frozen section of the grocery store--not the highest quality, but it was fine. The veggies were good and the rice was standard. They give nice sized portions--I got 2+ meals out of it. The sushi was fresh and just beyond on point and true to the ingredients. The pho had a developed flavor just under the authenticate make of a grandma making it at home! The entrees were also delicious more American Chinese but still worth a try. But the must try here is the curry egg roll it just slapped me on the face with flavor and made me wanting 20 thousand more orders of them!! For the past year this place has been my spot when I'm not in the mood to cook. Last week I went in and ordered the famous rice with protein. When I got home,I realized they left out the shrimp. The peanut noodle dish is gluten free and vegetarian, and it's delicious! My boyfriend, who is not gluten free also loves it. First timer yesterday! My mom & children LOVE Noodle so much my mom moved to Decatur just to get within walking distance!!! OK, she did move to Decatur, and these family members are BESIDE themselves to be this close to such a neiborhood joint! I ate yesterday here! Was really good! VEGAN REVIEW: Seriously one of the best deals in Atlanta. Vegans and omnivores can enjoy a meal here without feeling like they're compromising. I ordered the peanut noodles (specified vegan) and fried veggie dumplings. The peanut noodles came in a huge portion - enough for two meals. I liked the flavor of the noodles and that there was an abundance of crushed peanuts, but I also felt like it was missing something. They actually tasted better the day after as leftovers. Reheating tip: place a damp paper towel over the noodles when microwaving to prevent the noodles from drying out and getting hard. The dumplings were delicious! A bit oily (as expected), but the very flavorful and tasty. I definitely recommend ordering this as an appetizer for the table. The waiter was really helpful and knowledgeable and let me know that the salad could also be made vegan. read more

Absolutely love Noodle! My snobbier friends have informed me that the sushi isn't as "authentic" as some, but if authenticity is your primary criteria, I'm not sure why you've come to a fusion place. They've got bowl options, which are great, many sushi options, and some regular Chinese takeout favorites, as well as some other staples like Pad Thai and the like. Also, I really appreciate that they are taking the pandemic seriously and have moved to takeout/delivery only - I'd much rather they keep themselves and their customers as safe as possible during this time. You can still eat - socially distanced - on their patio area, or take your food to go. My only real complaint is that they're not on any of the mainstream delivery apps; they're on a smaller one. Not a reason to lose a star because it was good & I still slurped it down. The service was excellent and the staff was courteous! The restaurant was clean and organized well. I have seen this restaurant for years but finally tried it for the first time today. It was completely empty when I walked in (at 3pm after the lunch rush). The wait staff was friendly and tended to me immediately. They did remain seated at a table three or four down from me and were engaging in conversation the entire time. I understand it was slow but this could have taken place out of sight of the customers. I will note that my waitress began to look busy during my duration (sweeping, walking around, and looking out for when I was ready to order). I ordered a vegetable miso ramen bowl. The dish itself was decent, however it lacked the flavor and elements that I am used to at more authentic asian establishments. I was hesitant about ordering here, because the reviews are so mixed and we have a fave Chinese takeout. But our spot doesn't have sushi and I was really looking for some sushi and my boys wanted take out and so this spot hit the mark. The sushi is pretty good - not the best, but also better than most grocery store sushi. I tasted everyone's food and everything was fine my husband definitely enjoyed it more than I did. I did really like the kimchi fried rice . But I didn't quite love the price-point of the takeout. So knew that I would make different decisions next time we ordered. The next time that we ordered I did make different decisions and the bill was a little bit better. But when we got our food, we realized an entree was missing from our order. And so when I called the restaurant to let them know that we didn't get our general chicken, their response was, "we know that we put it in the bag so if you ReAlLy didn't get it then it's probably the driver and not our fault." Okaaayyyyyy...well, it was the driver and he kindly brought us our order. But to be honest, the reason that we were ordering was simply to support our local business. And so once it looked like the prices weren't as competitive to our local spot, the food (except the kimchi rice) was OK, and the service was OK... I've been coming to this location since college and have always loved the food here. This was probably the first time I've been less than pleased the service and the food. We were greeted by the bartender who told us to take a seat wherever we liked and that our server would be with us shortly. Yeah. She was not in a very good mood to deal with people. After about six minutes, she walked up to the table and said "so what do you want to drink?" and it was at that point I knew I had turn my patience level up to a 10 to get through. It wasn't super busy but it took her almost 10 mins to get our drinks and finally she asked wanted, I decided to step out of my normal lo mein situation and got the happy family rice entree. It came with mixed veggies, brown rice, brown sauce, shrimp, chicken, scallops, beef, and needless to say it was delicious (aside from the rice being a little over cooked). After the waitress brought out our food, my friend realized hers was wrong and trying to get the girl to come back to our table was an act of congress. Finally, I took matters into my own hands and asked for another waiter. His name was Ryan and he was awesome.
