A fresh twist on a classic: Red California Roll!
    Fefe P.

Real talk, Yelp fam...Noodle Decatur reviews can be a little bit controversial LOL. Over the years, I've noticed people either really like it or they don't (and everything in between). And with all the options in Atlanta for sushi, noodles, or amazing Asian-inspired dishes, why come here? Technically, Noodle is in downtown Decatur near the city. It's a family-owned local business, which I really appreciate it. The menu pulls from a mix of Asian cuisines, which definitely shows when you're checking out the choices. I've never dined it, so Delivery or Takeout is my "go to". On this most recent visit, after a long road trip to ATL...I needed an energy boost (in the form of sushi :-). Noodle gave me exactly what I needed, which is why I keep coming back: You know how there are just certain places that do things just the way you like them? That's Noodle for me! When I want something tasty, reasonably priced, and fast, they just get me! And the couple times when they didn't get something quite right, the staff has been quick to make it better, so I'll give them credit for great customer service, too. Noodle says their focus is speed, value, and full flavor. And honestly, that lines up with my experience. Maybe I've just had good luck, but it works for me. Happy Eating!

Noodle is one of my favorite lunch spots in Decatur. A solid selection of Asian dishes including their famous Fried Rice!

This quaint little spot is one of my favorite places for a quick lunch. The staff is extremely attentive and very quick. After the lockdown, Noodle did not return to full service anymore. Instead, they do a 'to-go' system, where you order at the counter, receive your food to-go, but can stay and eat at the restaurant. Technically, no waiting staff. Which works and gets people in me out quickly. Their food has always been on-point. I particularly steer towards the famous fried rice, which is delicious. But at times it can be a bit greasy. So keep an eye on it if you're on a diet. Well... it's also a massive portion that seems to be for a family of four, but for the price and the flavor.. this is the best deal. The sushi is always good as well. They are not a sushi restaurant, so they don't have full offerings that you're likely to see in some bigger restaurants, but they do well with what they do offer. My favorite so far is the crunchy tuna roll. With a nice topping of yum yum sauce... it gives it the extra edge. Overall, I really like the neighborhood feel of the restaurant. The food is good, and it's all well priced. Solid choice!

I decided to grab lunch at Noodle today, and I must say they have a variety of options. However, I decided to have the General Tso chicken. I was not disappointed. Regarding the ambiance, it appears that the restaurant is closing as everything seems to be a bit blocked off. I'm Thinking it's a staffing issue. Nonetheless, if they work through this, the restaurant will be more appealing for its guests.

Build-a-Bowl : brown rice, chicken, broccoli, mushrooms, bell pepper, spicy basil sauce
    Kyja W.

My work ordered takeout from here yesterday (I can't speak on service or ambiance because my coworker picked it up for us all). For my lunch, I chose to Build-a-Bowl : brown rice, chicken, broccoli, mushrooms, bell pepper, spicy basil sauce. Over all, it was okay! The sauce was not spicy at all so I had to use my own to amp it up. The chicken kind of reminded me of the kind you can get in the frozen section of the grocery store--not the highest quality, but it was fine. The veggies were good and the rice was standard. They give nice sized portions--I got 2+ meals out of it. To be honest, I probably wouldn't choose this place on my own time and dime, but I'm not opposed to putting an order in if that's what we're getting.

No service for food as everything is take out. 鳗鱼卷3:$10 for 5 pieces of sushi... 味道一般 河粉牛3.5:味道很不错 但是河粉质量太硬 不是有弹性 就是材料很一般 大葱胡萝卜洋葱的味道也很好

For the past year this place has been my spot when I'm not in the mood to cook. Last week I went in and ordered the famous rice with protein. When I got home,I realized they left out the shrimp. I didn't bother going back because they were closing in less than 30 mins. Today I go to pickup lunch. I'm eating the rice out of the container and I bit down on something hard. It was a small piece of broken glass SERIOUSLY. Enough for me to chip a tooth or cut the inside of my mouth. I'm done with Noodle. Fresh To Order getting my business.

Singapore Noodles with Shrimp it was good not spicy, added Chinese hot mustard, just the right amount of spice

Decatur Rd. at a very busy intersection, it sits tucked into a tiny shopping center, blink and you will drive right past it. Parking is limited, and you can immediately tell the small lot fills up fast, especially during peak hours. I stumbled upon Tenya while in town on a Tuesday, scrolling Yelp in search of a solid lunch spot, and I'm glad I did. This is a family-owned Japanese eatery that specializes in comfort food, and according to their website, everything is made from scratch, which absolutely shows in the quality. I placed my order online and picked it up with ease. I ordered the Shrimp Saku Saku appetizer along with a fresh garden Tenya salad. The shrimp were excellent, perfectly crispy with a flavorful panko coating that didn't feel heavy or greasy. The salad was impressively fresh and came with their house-made ginger dressing, which paired beautifully with the crisp greens and added just the right balance of sweetness and tang. Inside, the restaurant is quaint and cozy, with a decent amount of seating for its size. The customer service was warm and welcoming; the lady at the counter greeted me kindly and had my order ready shortly after I arrived, making the pickup process smooth and pleasant. A nice bonus is the selection of packaged Japanese snacks and drinks available at the counter, always a fun touch and something you don't see everywhere. Next time, I plan to dine in and explore more of the menu, along with sampling some of those snacks and drinks. Tenya is a great example of simple, thoughtfully prepared food done right. I'll definitely be back.

The other items that we love is the Octopus salad (which they only offer in the evening when available), eel roll, spicy crunchy tuna roll, super veg roll (for me!), north roll, scorpion roll, miso soup, and the green salad with ginger dressing. It was prepared perfectly--rich, velvety, and a great start to the meal. * Grilled Highlights: The kitchen really excels with the grill. The chicken skin is crispy and decadent, and the chicken liver is another major hit--perfectly cooked and full of flavor. * Seafood Favorites: My wife absolutely loved the steamed clams, and the grilled oysters were a hit as well. The octopus salad was also very fresh and well-balanced. The Sushi Bar: * Fish Selection: The quality and variety here are impressive. We ordered a mix of rolls and nigiri, including scallop, sweet shrimp, and tuna maki. * Quality: Every piece of fish was notably fresh. The only minor critique was the sushi rice--it was a bit dry for my personal taste, but the quality of the seafood more than made up for it. * Snail (Tsubugai): It's great to see more unique options like snail on the menu; it's a nice touch for those who appreciate traditional Japanese variety. The Experience: The menu is huge and well-rounded, offering something for everyone. It's a great place people often celebrate their birthdays at with top quality tastes. While Nakato didn't quite compete with Kobe's elegant interior or food quality, I did find it to be one of the best I've found so far in Atlanta! The exterior is very nice and I read that they renovated the interior. It feels very family friendly and welcoming. My husband and I got an avocado roll and a shrimp tempura roll (minus the masago this time) to share as an appetizer, which were so yummy! These rolls definitely hit the spot and we were tempted to order more but decided to be patient for the main event. We were seated at a table with a bunch of teens celebrating two birthdays, which was fine. The chef was funny in his interactions with them, and was polite to us as well. For my protein, I chose the shrimp & chicken. I almost just chose chicken because the meal already comes with a small serving of shrimp (I believe two shrimps), but my husband convinced me to get both so he could help me finish the shrimp (he doesn't really eat chicken). For my husband's protein, he went with the shrimp and scallops. As with most hibachi/teppanyaki places, we had clear broth mushroom soup to start. They were simple but comforting. Then, we were given our ginger house salads. The dressing is intense but I love intense. I mixed it into the lettuce and it was great. Next, our chef started on our meals. We were given grilled vegetables, noodles, fried rice (you can have for an upcharge from the regular white steamed rice, which is what our entire table and us did), and our proteins. I'm so glad I ended up getting half shrimp because it was very good! Sadly, I must say, skip the chicken. It was a little chewy, a tad dry, and pretty flavorless. The yum yum sauce helped. My husband's scallops were great... very tender and flavorful. The noodles were okay... I just prefer the linguine I get at Kobe's to these squiggly thin noodles that feel almost more ramen-like but not quite. I can't help but compare... and I understand that what I'm used to is probably not "authentic." Please excuse my ignorance. The veggies were pretty good but I'm used to a bit more of an al dente grilled bite versus soft. The fried rice was excellent. Very tasty! Portions are great and prices seem fair! Over all, we had a good experience here and are excited to return.

I came here about 8 years ago with the same family members +1 family friend and we enjoyed dinner then, but it truly didn't compare to this visit. Previously, I had Kang Nam slated as an overpriced, but decent sushi place that serves meals on a more robust scale if you're dining with a party. However, the sushi back then was somewhat underwhelming. Last night, we had a phenomenal set. Hamachi, Otoro, Unagi, Ebi, and more! Every piece was delicately balanced and beautifully arranged. Honestly, I wasn't really expecting too much going in- and I'd only chosen Kang Nam as a place where I could get some decent sushi while my family got something else entirely. My mom had Don Katsu (served with a small dish of Japanese style curry sauce). My uncle got the Tempura Udon, of which they served the tempura shrimp on the side in a bed of tempura flakes. This is kind of genius, because you can make the decision on when you want to dip in your tempura instead of them bringing it and you have to down the tempura fast in order to still have it be crunchy... NOT HERE! It stays crunchy since they serve it separately. Love that. We had refillable banchan: kimchi, king oyster mushrooms, and glass noodles- all of which were delicious. We all received bowls of deliciously simple miso soup and we ordered a set of fried dumplings. Everything was great! That is...until the sushi came out. Wow. Presentation: 10/10. Flavor? 10/10. Portion-size: TEN OUT OF TEN, Y'ALL. The sushi rice was fantastic and they didn't use too much like a lot of places do with their nigiri. The toppings were functionally decorative. The sweet shrimp was especially pretty with two different colors of roe on top. The yellowtail didn't need the toppings it had- green onion and fish/squid flakes(?)- in my opinion, but they added a dimension of texture to the initial bite and a hint of flavor to the finish. The fish was perfect in every way: not too thick, no too thin, overlapping the rice by double to allow for perfect soy sauce dips without soaking the rice, and I just CAN NOT EXPLAIN how good each piece was... The sushi rolls were so delicious and every bite had wonderful textures and flavors, but my absolute favorite roll was the one with the smoked tuna on top- WOW! Absolutely stunned. Never - EVER - have I actually tasted the smoke flavor so clearly and completely. I am a HUGE fan of that one and I can't even remember the name of it...it's in the picture on the plate behind the sweet shrimp. The eel nigiri was also a highlight for me- as it's one of my favorite pieces of sushi, I always order several pieces. I was happily surprised to see they were nearly twice the size I get at other restaurants. Hands-down, the best otoro (fatty tuna) I've had in Atlanta. The sushi chef here also believes in giving special service by preparing some extra pieces for the customers as well. I only ordered one set of otoro, but next time....oh my...my bill is gonna hurt next time. Each 2-piece set of otoro is set at $17, so...yeah... It's going to be SO WORTH IT though. I will 10000% be back- soon. I might just get some Otoro, Hamachi, and one of those smoked tuna rolls...man. SO. RIDICULOUSLY. GOOD. Get in there if you haven't been in a while. Trust me!
