Our group of 8 got here at 9PM and we're given the option of sitting in the dinning room or hibachi. We opt for the dinning room because we had little ones that were tired from being at the lake all day. The server seated us at a smaller side of the restaurant away from the main dinning room which was very very much appreciated. I ordered the salmon teriyaki roll and was disappointed it didn't come with cucumbers or avocado. I'm sure it was written somewhere on the menu and I just didn't read it. Perfect visit from beginning to the end. Was greeted by multiple staff members throughout our supper. The dinning room was very quiet but close enough to hear some of the hibachi fun going on near by. The food was amazing and each item of sushi was prepared perfectly and promptly. read more

honestly the worst place you can stop by for food , the guy cooked everything (meat , rice , veggies , shrimp ) all at the same time (which is cross contamination) , the guy was in a hurry making everything at the same time on the grill , over priced for bad food and small portions, you'll get better and more for same price at Kani House . read more

Pictures don't do this spot justice! The food was a 10/10! The service was amazing. I believe we were the last table that arrived before closing and they did not make us feel rushed at all. Such an entertaining experience, the soup and salad is delicious, service is awesome, place is clean and so full of life. It is a great spot for families! Food was pedestrian; wait time was long considering it was lunchtime and few customers. I ordered 2 appetizers: crab Rangoon and shrimp tempura. Wonton around crab Rangoon was way overcooked and not very much filling inside. The shrimp tempura was undoubtedly from Costco complete with one flat side. I don't blame them for using them, since they are yummy and less costly than they could make them in-house. The staff was pleasant. I give 4 stars for their ginger salad dressing, which we bought a large container of to take home. It literally is so good, you could drink it out of a glass! They have hibachi, but we did not see it since we were only in the restaurant part of the establishment. read more

Was dining alone and was told I was not able to do the hibachi table because it was just me. I don't understand why it matters if you're still getting my business? I ended up sitting in the regular eating section as you come in the front door. The service is great, but it just made me a little little upset that they would not let me do hibachi. Future reference if you're going by yourself, don't expect to get to eat hibachi at the table. read more

We just recently moved to the area and have been trying to find new regular haunts. We stopped by Mr Teriyaki for lunch and honestly it was amazing. Our server, Gandhi was very attentive and gave us some recommendations. The food was fantastic, and we really enjoyed ourself! I personally loved the atmosphere and ambiance of the restaurant itself. Definitely recommend coming here for sushi and hibachi! read more

Love the hibachi here, great chefs and delicious food! Sushi is good as well but hibachi is definitely where it's at.

The moment we walked in , we were greeted and sat right away. we went ahead and placed our order for sushi and no more than 5 minutes went by and we already had it back at our table. YUK! I walked in for a take out order of filet mignon and shrimp hibachi. Price said $22.95 on menu I thought I would treat myself as its a bit pricey for a styrofoam box but whatever, when I paid he charged me over $26 for it. Got the bag which was tied up and left. 25 mins later get home open it to disappointment. Pictures attached! The "salad" was left over stubs of lettuce..thats NOT a salad. Steak was over done and hard (I asked for medium). Soup was clear broth. Paid extra for fried rice which was boiled brown PLAIN rice. I was so hungry so tried a vegetable which was good. I called the place and guy said no managers and no refund unless I drove it all the way back....what?! So kept it for next day took it back. read more

Everything was great- Filet and Scallops, Chicken, 3 types of Sushi, sake, beers, other guests had a great time w/us as well regardless of a language barrier. FOOD and DRINK made the evening for everyone there, even the Hibachi Chef enjoyed himself. Can't say enough good about this visit. read more

The location on Dawsonville highway in Gainesville Georgia is awful. The chef did not speak the whole time he cooked. He tried to do a volcano with the onion and he couldn't get it to light. I had to leave the table to find someone to give drink refills. I had been planning this party of 14 for weeks. When I called and made the reservations I specifically asked for a chef that would be entertaining. This place and chef was a joke! For $358 I expected more. To compensate us for the horrible evening they took $30 off of the bill. Like that was going to make a difference. I strongly do not recommend read more

This is absolutely the worst food I've ever eaten. The vegetables were hardly cooked, everything was cold, the rice had no flavor and the chicken could have broken a window it was so tough. The sushi roll I got was absolutely awful. It was a mega crunch roll and had zero crunch. Absolutely disgusting. My coworker got the lunch plate with seafood and it stunk to high heavens. Service was awful. We sat at the table long enough for multiple party's that were not with us were able to order food and drinks at the same time. Then received food before we even got the drinks. Food tasted great but the entertainment was not there. You go for a show and the chef didn't talk or play games with the table. All he did was cook. I had to get up from the table to ask for refills after 10 mins of no drink- no server. We asked multiple people to sing our child happy birthday and every room was sung to but ours. I even went to the front and asked them to still come after table was cleared and nothing. Bill was never brought to the table. they made everyone go up front after we all waited. When spoke to the manager and his daughter they sad - oh well we are busy. What do you want me to do about it.. this hibachi used to be the place to go with great service and entertainment. Will not be back and highly DO NOT recommend. Go somewhere else. If not eating hibachi, rice is not cooked and chicken is not cooked all the way. Don't recommend if not eating hibachi.

If there were a zero rating I would give it to this place. We arrived at 7:15, were seated at 7:45 and we had no server at our table at 8:30! I mean no one came to our table! I finally gave an ultimatum to a young waiter who was unlucky enough to pass by our table and told him that if we didn't have service in 5 minutes the whole table was prepared to revolt and walk out! 15 more minutes went by before we were served. The soup was cold, the ginger salad was cut from the core of the lettuce head and still no chef! When he did arrive it was obvious that he was very new at this. He way undercooked the rice but the vegetables were way OVER cooked, burnt in fact. No one at our table could eat it. All in all, I suggest Rice restaurant at 306/369 in the Publix shopping center if you want the best hibachi meal. Mr. Teriyaki has changed ownership from what we were told tonight and is going downhill quick. Run don't walk from Mr. Teriyaki #1. Salute! read more
