    Shrimp ramen, $11.99
    Catie S.

I came here with my husband for date night yesterday, after reading positive reviews on Yelp. This quick service/take out place has some tables inside where you can eat. It's really minimalist and clean. The menu is written on a large chalk board, and is simple. I had the shrimp ramen ($11.99) and my husband had the special of the day - General Tsao chicken with rice, and two spring rolls ($9.99). I also got a can of pop and the whole thing, with tax, came out to $26. I'm not really an expert on ramen, but I enjoyed my food. It was spicy, which I like a lot. The noodles were super starchy (is this a normal ramen thing? Again, not an expert here). The shrimp did not make me sick, which I know is a really low bar to set, but anytime I order shellfish from anywhere I feel like I'm playing diarrhoea Russian roulette, you know? Well, it's good to live on the edge anyway. My husband comments that his chicken was just fine. He really enjoyed the rice. The spring rolls were fresh, he says, and the plum sauce was unique. The unlabelled yellow bottle on the table is plum sauce. We're still not sure what the red sauce in the unlabelled former Orangina bottles is -- there was a weird residue in the bottles, so I didn't venture to try and find out. The food wan't super fast, so make sure you're not in a rush when you come here. I think we'd be back, it is a good alternative to the greasier fast food i the area.

Decent Korean place in Gloucester.. Had the Korean noodles once and the bibimbap today, with chicken and veggies, some gojuchang, lacking in the meat department. Prices are decent.

This place is awesome for some quick quality bites! The egg rolls are amazing! I tried the ramen and my mom got the bulgogi with beef. Both plates were delicious!

Was in the area for training walking down the street and noticed this place. Nom nom has a variety of asian foods. I ordered the bibimbap and it was yummy. There was a huge order ahead of us so it was abit slower to get our food but it was worth the wait. If your in the area and looking for a good fresh foods other than the mcdonalds nearby, you should check this place out. I would definetly come back if ever back in this area.

Spicy noodle. Looks better before I ate half of it.

Very tasty bibimbap. Everything was nicely proportioned, cooked and seasoned. Huge portion, couldn't finish in one sitting.

I came on a Saturday night and it was surprisingly busy. Service to sit down was a bit slow but food was pretty quick. We got the lard rice, crispy fried chicken, and of course, the volcano pork ribs. The rice was tasty with the crispy bits of lard but it was a bit greasy at the bottom. Flavour was good though. The crispy chicken was my favourite! Well fried and it had that Chinese Szechuan pepper flavour. The volcano ribs were huge! Think pork bone soup bones but there isn't much soup. The volcano ribs were great value as it was a lot of meat but the flavour was a bit bland unless you had it with the watery sauce at the bottom. Overall, we enjoyed it and we had so much leftovers. The meal only cost us about $65 all in, which made it great value for the amount.

They have a good selection and apps and also noodles which are more individual meal portions but we decided to share and try everything. On Tuesdays, they have yakitori and I would love to come back to try that. The scallop crudo was lightly seasoned and fresh. I feel like it could have used a bit more citrus but overall it was good! The Korean fried chicken wings/drums were saucy, with something that tasted like a gochujang based sauce, as well as a ranch with dill. I didn't really taste the miso in the ranch too much, but I did enjoy the flavour profile. We also had the chicken karaage, which was lightly breaded and fried, and paired with a mayo. It was ok but a little plain. Next, we had the dan dan noodles. Dan dan noodles are traditionally very chewy have a nice bite to them but these noodles are a bit on the softer side. The flavour profile was good though. Lastly, we had the beast ramen. The smoked pork belly was nice and crisp and the soft boiled egg was nicely cooked. The noodles seem to be the same ones used in the dan dan noodles. It was enjoyable but the broth wasn't exactly ramen broth that I am used to. I would say that overall it was enjoyable, and prices were reasonable. Service was great. But there is definitely some room for improvement on the dishes. I would consider this more Asian fusion than a noodle bar.

Menus and waters were brought over promptly. We were served primarily by the owner, Thuy, who is incredibly nice and so sincere and genuine. She gave us recommendations based on our likes and dislikes, and let us know that everything is made from scratch so modifications can easily be made. We were also served by another server who refilled our waters and checked up on us periodically. This server was also very friendly and courteous. We had the Fried Wontons (10 for $6.95), Basil Noodles with shrimp and chicken ($13.95), Beef Panang Curry ($13.95) and Neua Ta-Krai (Lemongrass Beef $13.95). The curry and lemongrass beef comes with steamed rice. The Fried Wontons were by far the best fried wontons I have ever had. There was a lot of filling (ground chicken). However, the best part was the wonton wrapper. It was so crispy and airy. The wonton skin was all blistery and crunchy and it was absolutely fantastic. I generally don't like fried wontons but I loved them here. The Basil Noodles were also spectacular. The dish was so fragrant and you could definitely smell the basil. The taste was creamy and nutty, like pesto, but with Thai flavourings instead of Italian. It had 5 large shrimp and many pieces of chicken. So delicious! The Panang Curry was also fantastic. My dad loved this dish the most. When we were done he tried to get every last drop of the sauce to pour over his rice. It had lots of beef, baby corn, red and green peppers and onions. It was rich and creamy and you could really taste the coconut milk and peanuts. The Beef Lemongrass was ok, but I liked the other dishes better. I found this dish a little too oily for my liking. However, the flavouring was good. You could taste the lemongrass, ginger and onions. It came with green and red peppers and onions. They put the rice in a heart-shaped mold and serve it on a plate - a little heart of rice - so cute! We had such a great evening. The owner really made us feel welcomed and we will definitely be back. Excellent food, great service, and reasonable prices, what's not to like? It is located in a strip mall, so there is lots of free parking. Decor is simple, but nice and clean. If you like Thai food, you need to try T'Basil in Orleans.

Actually, the best of the food was Manchu Wok caliber, some items did not even meet this low standard, at least not in my opinion. The place has been around for decades and it would appear to me that no renovations have been made for decades. On the buffet was: wonton soup, egg rolls, chicken balls, salt and pepper fried chicken pieces, garlic spare ribs, vegetarian fried noodles, chicken fried rice, beef and vegetables stir-fry, fried chicken wings, and chow mein. So only 10 "real items" then they had stuff like pineapple sauce, sweet and sour sauce, almond cookies, and some sort of deep-fried dough pieces. No ice cream! :( Let's start with the good: the chicken balls were filled with lean white breast meat and the meat to batter ratio was pretty good. They weren't all dough. They were crispy, and if one were to like sweet and sour chicken balls in general, I think that one would enjoy these. The egg rolls were also pretty good. They were very crispy and the wrapper was thinner and crunchier than I've had at other places. The filling was ground pork and vegetables and had a strong five-spice fragrance to it. The wonton soup was also not bad. I liked that the soup had some leafy greens in it and wasn't overly oily/greasy. The actual wontons were a bit mushy, but the filling to wrapper ratio was good. The flavour was good. The unremarkable: chicken fried rice, vegetarian noodles, beef and vegetables stir-fry, and garlic spare ribs. The bad: the salt and pepper fried chicken pieces I found very weird. The meat was dark meat and had a strange texture. It was too salty and not that peppery to me. The "I did not try it because it did not look appetizing to me": fried chicken wings (looked really dry and greyish), the chow mein (I hate bean sprouts), the almond cookies (looked store bought) and the crunchy fried dough things. Service was nice and efficient. We were greeted right away and led to our seats. We were given water shortly after and our waters were refilled often and without having to ask. When we first arrived a bit before noon, there were only a few patrons, but after 12pm the place got really busy, so it looks like there's definitely a market for this kind of food, it's just not my jam. There's free parking in their private parking lot beside the restaurant.
