I don't write too many reviews, but after our recent dining experience I did think I should share. My spouse and I were excited to find a cute locally owned place in our neighborhood. We visited for happy hour and decided to invite out of town guests for a special brunch. We were a party of six and we did make a reservation. We were for the most part, the only diners for the majority of our meal. There was a table of 2 for part of the brunch. As the restaurant highlights a "Louisiana" flare, 3 of us opted for the crab cake benedict. I love crab cakes and benedicts, so was excited about this selection. The other 3 opted for an omlette and another specialty. The omlette for the single diner came out by itself. As the other entrees did not appear soon thereafter, he finally started to eat. A couple of the benedicts came out, and after waiting so long, it was surprising that the food was actually not hot. The hollandaise sauce bordered on cold. The crab cakes were not in fact "cakes," but large scoops of heavily laden sauce with some crab. Also, the crab was not fresh. After a couple bites, that was all I could eat. The two of us waited a bit to see if the rest of our party would have their meals come out right after, but no. So we started to eat and three of the diners still had no meals. The first diner was done eating by the time the last meals appeared. Again, the sauce was cold, so it is a mystery as to why they were coming out at different times. Also, as the restaurant was almost empty, this was disconcerting. Just went to Nolia today for happy hour with my girlfriend. We Loved it! Just like the reviews. It was quaint, intimate with fabulous food and service. We aren't big eaters, but my friend had the crab cakes-excellent! I had the special today, BBQ's, yum! And the chef's choice charcuterie tray. Also very excellent choices of cheese, meat, nuts and dried fruit. Definitely a new favorite place. We'll be back. Thank you! read more

Visited this place for the first time last night and really enjoyed our experience! It's a quaint little wine bar/eatery with a knowledgeable, friendly staff and a really interesting menu. This place is absolutely trash. I have never written a review on a restaurant before but I was completely disappointed with the food and service I got. All of the food I ordered was served COLD. My "filet mignon" looked like a Salisbury steak. I was completely disappointed with the service. We waited 40 mins for our crabs cakes and not one waiter or waitress checked up on us while we were waiting. The black cod was very bland the skin was supposed to be crispy but it came out soggy. The only thing flattering about my experience is I was given complementary champagne upon arrival. Do not waste your money here!! I rather drive down the street and get in-and-out. read more

nolia has quickly become one of my all time favorite restaurants !! i have tried a few different things here and they were all delicious, but i do have a favorite: the build your own charcuterie !! its a very diverse menu with so many options and everything tastes high quality. you can tell the staff at nolia really cares about the ingredients they're using and how they present the food. decor is so so cute ; i absolutely love the black and white back room. you can't beat the happy hour prices either !! definitely check this place out :) read more

We had a space reserved for a party of 25 to celebrate our Bonus Mom's 80th birthday. Their commuication leading up to the event, the food, the service- everything about it was SPOT ON! Everyone in the family was so complimentary of the whole evening. We made a reservation and were excited after reading the reviews. They couldn't find our reservation, so after quite some time, they seated us at a high top in the bar. We received menus, and the waitress made some recommendations and took our drink order. She said she was not our waitress because she was working on the other side. We then sat for 45 minutes without any further service. We were almost finished with our drinks and were getting hungry. Finally, after multiple attempts to get our server's attention, I paid for the drinks at the bar, and we headed to Farro for dinner. We can't rate the food because we never had an opportunity to try it. The bar portion of the restaurant is extremely loud, making it difficult for a party of two to have a normal conversation. I'm not sure why we were seated in the bar since we made reservations for dinner. The funny thing is when we got to Farro, another group sitting in the bar came there to eat. read more

Overpriced quirky restaurant. It felt dark and eerie as the room was filled with large black and white paintings that seemed demonic. The charcuterie boards were sparse to say the least. We ordered the largest one and it only had five crackers and a few fruity crisps, tiny slivers of cheese, small bits of some type of cookies. As stated, over priced, small wine pours, slow service. I have been to this artful, inventive, deliciously diverse, cozy, quaint, and friendly neighborhood wine and tapas eatery now three times. Each time has been such a treat!! Lille and her staff truly care about making your experience one you won't forget! You'll simultaneously feel as if you're the only one in the place because the staff goes to such intentional, careful measures to make your time here so special--a complimentary splash of bubbly poured as you sit, the wait staff and sometimes the owner taking the time to visit with you, the beautiful and interesting art painted onto the walls, charcuterie boards made to YOUR LIKING, and the list goes on--and you'll also feel as if you've walked onto the set of Cheers "where everyone knows your name" as this truly is a NEIGHBORHOOD meeting place where you might run into a neighbor (or at least feel like you might) and where you definitely feel that this meeting place has been designed with the intent to see you as a person and not just a customer with money. I've read some of the reviews here and see that some are upset with the wait times. Keep in mind that you are getting some HIGH QUALITY food and carefully crafted culinary treats here. This is not a place where things are made fast. You come here for a dining experience--the neighborhood ambiance, the art, the friendly staff, the high quality, diverse menu and wine selections. This is a treat!! Also, this is the kind of place that will work with you. They are learning and growing and want to hear about your feedback! It's easy to hide behind our computers and leave unflattering reviews, but just as we would with a neighbor, it's best to have face-to-face conversations with Lille and her staff so that issues can be addressed between people. I waited over a month to write this review because I'm kind of bummed about it. We live nearby and were really looking forward to a nice neighborhood wine bar.They were very busy the night we went and the service was friendly but slow. Didn't really mind it since we were not in a rush. The reason for 2 stars is the food. We ordered a variety of things and all were exceptionally bad. The spicy tuna was the worst - smelled fishy, tasted non sushi grade, soggy texture and very bland. All the 2 bite foods tasted like it was assembled out of bags and cans from the store. Shrimp was mushy and super unpleasant. The shell it was in was stale. The larger beef plate was better but most of the plate was undressed arugula. The wine list was not to our taste (many california) but I'm fine with that, we all have our preferences. I can't remember the last time we did this but we swung by the taco bell drive through on the way home. If the food was inexpensive I would be less unhappy, but as it was our bill was hefty but we left both hungry and unsatisfied. Unfortunately this was a miss for us. read more
