Ortega's price was by far the best, which initially caught our attention--but the quality of their work is what really impressed us. I'd definitely recommend getting a quote from them before making a decision. They did an incredible job from start to finish--not only carefully wrapping, cutting, and hauling everything away, but also cleaning up so thoroughly that our yard looked better than when they arrived. I was so impressed that I'm already having them come back to take care of some dead limbs on one of our old oak trees. The tree is healthy, and we want to keep it that way. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Santos and his crew!

This is my second time working with Green Vista, and I continue to be impressed with their service…read more What I really appreciate is how honest and upfront they are. When evaluating my trees, they clearly explained which ones needed deadwood removal and which ones were fine at the time. They also had to remove one tree from my front yard, and they took the time to explain in detail why removal was necessary. I recently worked with Rodney, and he was great about discussing the details of the job and explaining his recommendations. He is obviously very knowledgeable about trees and clearly cares deeply about his work. I especially appreciated that he was there with the crew on the day they removed the deadwood and walked me through what they were doing. Of all the companies I contacted, Green Vista also seemed to have the most appropriate equipment for the job. Several other companies weren't confident they could get their lift into my backyard. Green Vista was able to do it, and they laid down appropriate tracking and ground protection to make sure there was no damage to my lawn. In one case, I found two dead branches that weren't visible from my side of the property. Rodney and the team came back quickly and took care of them, which I really appreciated. I know I'll be using Green Vista again in the future. Their pricing is excellent considering they have a certified arborist involved, and most importantly, they genuinely seem to care about the health of the trees rather than trying to upsell you. Highly recommended.

Early Wednesday morning they had an arborist at the house, dispatched a large crew and a massive crane. They spent 7 hours carefully removing the tree, lifting huge pieces of it over our neighbor's house (thank you, good neighbors!), ground the small and medium branches, and stacked the very large trunk sections on the street. On Thursday they picked up all of the large sections and hauled them away. By 5pm the tree was gone and contractors were able to start doing a temporary repair of the large holes in our garage roof. This was a traumatic experience that was totally unexpected. This was a seemingly healthy tree that just tipped over without warning. Anyone can imagine how it feels to have a huge tree laying on your house. The support from JL Tree's Service went a long way toward making us feel like we were making progress on getting the mess resolved. We have used JL before and always thought they did good work at a fair price. Their response here was exceptional.

With RTEC, however, the whole process was simple start to finish. I contacted them by email, they got back in touch with me quickly to schedule am arborist to come look at the the job. We met, talked, and I showed him what we needed to have done and asked his opinion. He didn't try to upsell me on anything. The next day he sent a simple and clear (as well as reasonably priced) proposal back to me. As soon as I signed it, we determined a date for the work to be done. The 2-man team that came to perform the work was on time, efficient, polite, and did a great job. They took good safety precautions (both for our yard and for themselves.) They also left the yard looking cleaner than when they found it! They were great and our trimmed tree is happy and healthy -- and better off for the work they performed. My only note is that if you live in a rowhouse like ours or a downtown neighborhood with crummy parking, when you are making the appointment, ask the person to write down that a smaller truck is needed. The team brought the big truck and lucked into parking, but if they hadn't, it could have been a problem.
