I first came to him with a new used MacBook Pro that I had stripped the screws on. I had been to everyone, and they wouldn't touch it. He spent hours with me, even though this is not one of his services - AND he warned me it might not turn out how I want it to. He eventually got into my prized possession, and didn't even know how to charge me for it - and wasn't going to. Almost too helpful!! Great shop! Great owner! Apple users - Take your money there!! I DID pay him, by the way.

I brought my laptop to PC Mechanix and they said they could have a look and it would maybe be a few days only. I got a call a few days later and they said the motherboard was fried and needed to be replaced which I fully agreed to although they recommended getting a new laptop since it was an older model and might be cheaper than the repair itself. But I love my laptop so I decided to repair it. A few days later I got a call asking where my laptop was from cause shit I 100% forgot to mention it was bought in Sweden. They realized that's why they obv couldnt find the right part and ordered the correct part FROM Europe without any additional charge. The delivery took awhile but once they had it the repair was done within 24 hrs. In short, the nicest, most affordable and accommodating service I've ever received! The fact that I forgot to tell them a crucial part of the laptops anatomy didn't bother them one bit and they were quick to find MY preferred solution although they recommended otherwise.

I always fear going into computer and car shops because I know absolutely nothing about the things…read moreI use every day and am so reliant on. So knowing nothing, except for Google/YouTube help, one could up sell me anything, especially car repairs as I've experienced in the past. Luckily this repair was a good experience . The owner Glen, is a super chill guy, he practically lives here with his shop hours being so broad. This is his retirement hobby, from being a computer engineer, so he really seems to know a lot and is not pushy or trying to sell me more than I needed. I had dropped my all in one HP computer while it was running, onto my leg and it broke it inside. He said it would take 1-2 days to figured out if the problem was 1 of 2 things. Software reinstall was $89 plus tax(which ended up being my issue) or a hardware fix being south of $200. The shop sits right off of Yonge st just a walk north of Major Mackenzie, it's mainly street parking unless you park behind the plaza or the church. I drive by here often and have never noticed this place, but it's been here for years.

I have dealt with lots of tech companies over last 30 years+ of using digital equipment. Worst and most unhelpful place ever. Terrible experience. Do not buy from them. Hello Hello, 2nd…read moretime user of DataRecovery.com First time my drive crashed in 2019, they recovered everything. I sadly did not follow their recommendation on backing everything up. My experience with them was flawless - justin, who managed my case, was responsive, reassuring, took his time to explain when I did not understand and really managed my expectation. They delivered results within the expected time frame, and all the recovered data was working well - no data was corrupted! The second time was summer 2020 when my other drive crashed - this time, sadly, they could only recover 10%, however, they looked at the drive recovered in 2019 (as 80% of the data overlapped) and managed to recover it again (which is very hard to do!!!) I was very grateful... and I backed up everything this time. My advice: back up back up back up - but if you're reading this, that means you did not, and the next best thing for you right now, is to call datarecovery.com They are well worth any quote they will give you, because the peace of mind of knowing your date is going to be handled with privacy, safety, security and integrity has no cost. They are knowledgeable, professional and very customer oriented. Highly highly recommend!

I wanted to reach out about the 1 star review you left on Yelp. Unfortunately Yelp's algorithms are very absurd and a lot of our 5 star reviews get filtered out (unless you pay Yelp) and we are left with your 1 star review near the top. This is like a life sentence for the company, it never goes away and it really hurts our business. I wanted to see if you think we have done our time yet and maybe delete that review? If your cell phone still needs to be recovered maybe we can take a look for you and offer a discounted rate?" Yelp's notice when I was about to delete the review...
