Hello Hello, 2nd time user of DataRecovery.com First time my drive crashed in 2019, they recovered everything. I sadly did not follow their recommendation on backing everything up. My experience with them was flawless - justin, who managed my case, was responsive, reassuring, took his time to explain when I did not understand and really managed my expectation. They delivered results within the expected time frame, and all the recovered data was working well - no data was corrupted! The second time was summer 2020 when my other drive crashed - this time, sadly, they could only recover 10%, however, they looked at the drive recovered in 2019 (as 80% of the data overlapped) and managed to recover it again (which is very hard to do!!!) My 1TB hard drive was corrupted with 400 gigs of valuable data that was inaccessible by my PC and Mac. After doing a quick online research on data recovery services, I was happy off the bat that ESS provides a "no recovery, no charge" rule. I sent in the hard drive with postage paid by ESS and I was impressed by the assistance from Denise Santos, a Support Specialist that was prompt and very responsive. Denise informed me that recovery can cost from roughly $500-$2000, which isn't affordable for a lot of individual consumers especially myself as a student. I originally declined recovery since I was quoted $1250 for my recovery process after they assessed the drive free of charge. However, the president of the company, Benjamin A. Carmitchel, personally emailed me to offer me a 30% discount in hopes of satisfying a customer. Even though the price was still expensive for my budget, the data was important to me and I went through with the recovery process. Denise was quick to keep me updated and informed during the process and I received the recovered data on a disk that I mailed in with postage paid again by ESS. I was offered an additional 1% discount for the 1% of data they couldn't recover. Overall I received very exceptional customer service and although it was expensive, the service was necessary and ESS provided a smooth and efficient service. Our external hard drive stopped working after a move, we took it to ESS Data Recovery to recover several years worth of saved pictures.
