Let me tell you I thought Orto was going to be my only favorite restaurant in Long Island but NOCO pretty much takes the cake. This place is amazing. The social distancing j's fantastic - they have great indoor seating plus a huge tent for outdoor seating as well. We went when they were having specials on wine bottles and got a bottle of wine for maybe $40 (I can't remember) but it was still a really good price for a whole bottle. I ordered the lobster tortellini and it was SO GOOD. There was tons of lobster but not overwhelming, the sauce was creamy, and the tortellini was delicious. My fiancé ordered the lamb and I wish we got like three orders of it because it was also sooo delicious. We ordered the flourless chocolate cake and I was shocked at how delicious it was. It's rare that I'll actually like flourless chocolate cake but man I would definitely reorder that cake. The waitress was incredibly helpful and sweet as well. read more

Fantastic dinner here this week. Tables were nicely spaced apart and there were partitions as well. We started with the charcuterie tray which was plenty for 4 people to share, delicious meats and cheeses. The potato crusted sea bass was perfectly cooked, tender and fabulous. Seafood pasta dish was great, but didn't get a chance to get a pic before it was devoured. Desserts were sweet and yummy. We all loved our dinners. Service was very good as well. read more

Mixed experience. Service was attentive, but pace of food way off. Appetizers came out unnaturally fast, in 10 minutes. Bread came out about 45 minutes into meal and main course 5 minutes later. NY strip I had relative to what it should taste like was OK at best. Tasted like low quality of meat. appetizers were good and my wife's scallops meal was good, Beer list needs a big upgrade, mediocre beers at best. Went to try noco for the first time for restaurant week. Experience was overall okay. I would give 3.5 stars . Food: was good though I'm not sure if some of it was worth the price. The pork shank was good, desserts were good , crab croquettes were good my only food complaints were the The mussels.. sauce was sweet it tasted a lil weird to us it's like garlicky sweet mussel juice although it's not bad but it's just weird that it's sweet. And the risotto of the filet Minon dish was not cooked properly. It was A lil on the drier side and some pieces of rice needed a lil more time. . Risotto is supposed to be creamy . The Rice Firm with a tiny bite but cooked. Service and ambiance: The place was pretty but small and feels tight packed especially when it's busy . Service was good although I was disappointed of where the hostess sat us. Very small tight table near a wall . It was kinda uncomfortable and I did not like how the tables in our area were very close to each other especially that COVID is not over yet. read more

This is our new FAVORITE place to dine! The service is impeccable. When we arrive we are immediately seated every time. We have had the steaks, fish, salads, and vegetarian dishes. We don't live around here but were in the area after shopping for a communion dress for our daughter today. Looked up nearby places to eat on Yelp and Noco happened to be a few storefronts down. They happily took our reservation and we sat outside. Each dish was delish and the food were all bursting in flavors. We got the Wings, octopus and watermelon salad to start. We were very pleased, even my 8 year old daughter said 'the food's so good here!' For our main dishes we got the cheeseburger, bbq chicken meatloaf and scallops. The burger could have used just a tad bit more salt which we added and I don't think the quinoa paired very well with the scallops, probably would have gone better with a purée, but were overall very satisfied with our food and service. They provided a clean and safe environment and provided little towelettes in addition to heavy duty napkins throughout our meal. Yes the food was great but that's not all that makes the restaurant. Now mind you I've been in the restaurant business for over 10 years, my brother had recommended this place but no one had told me That the service would be so horrible I sat at the bar and the bartender didn't acknowledge us the whole time we had dirty silverware we had no water when she poured the wine she didn't even allow us to taste it as we bought a bottle of wine.. We had to ask for everything, small plates, ground pepper, more beverages, and just general service attention. It wasn't like she was super busy because she had time to small talk with other patrons and other staff members and time to go on her phone. This is my recommendation if you're going to charge so much and you can sit in the heart of Nissequogue you need a mature bartender not a baby? You cant have a baby behind the bar running a restaurant there's many mature high end bartenders out there that will be willing to work., I also noticed a couple people at the bar trying to get her attention as well maybe they were a little bit nicer but I'm gonna leave this review and hope that you change your restaurant! An absolutely SUBLIME dining experience. My wife and I went during restaurant week for the first time and both of us were blown away by both the meal and the service. We're foodies with pretty high standards and NOCO satisfied on all counts. For an appetizer, I had the pan seared shrimp which were jumbo and cooked to perfection served with a butternut squash caponata ,arugula, saba and smoked olive oil . It was very flavorful and the shrimp had a nice, slightly charred finish. My wife had the mussels which were also very tender served in a light, slightly spicy tomato broth with chorizo that was delicious. For an entree I had the spaghettini pasta with sauteed lobster and shrimp, cherry tomatoes, spinach, and calabrian chili in a light tomato shellfish sauce that was bursting with flavor. My wife had the duck which was a seared breast and leg confit with a maple pomegranate glaze and served with sweet potato hash. The duck was moist, delicious, and cooked to perfection. Finally, for desert I had the fallen chocolate cake and my wife had the pumpkin mousse both of which were terrific. Christopher, our server, was very friendly, attentive, and helpful with our requests for recommendations. The entire staff from hostesses to bussers were all super friendly. This was an elevated dining experience and by far one of the best we've had in some time. We can hardly wait to come back. read more

Haven't been here in a while, so decided to come back because I do like the food. When I came back , I remembered why it's been a while. The service is not what it should be for the prices. The waitresses are either inexperienced or not well-trained. Ordered drinks when we sat down. Asked for a martini with olives and a Coke with lemon. Drinks were prepared and sitting on the bar, but our waitress was busy socializing with other patrons. Had to ask the bus boy to get our drinks. The bus boy asked if I wanted lemon or olives in my drink. Coke came with no lemon. Waitress nowhere to be found. Also, never said anything about dinner specials - had to ask ("oh no nobody told you about the specials?"). If the prices were cheaper, I might expect less, but in the end I was reminded again why I hadn't been there in a long time. P.S. Came to Pietro for dessert. Our 1st time tonight, a very busy Friday night! We were seated outside, very cozy. We ordered cocktails and expected a wait. They came rather quickly. Again this is packed to capacity night. They were crafted to perfection. We decided on small plates. Let me just say a side comment, We are very accomplished cooks, so we look for a "WOW" factor. The chef delivered!! The Crispy oyster, Burrata and chickpeas, all WOW!! They came straight away as if we were the only people there! We closed with the duck confit, Amazing again a wow factor! We had an awesome time. Drinks, food and service were great. We started with high society cocktails and a hummus appetizer which was tasty. I had the vegan entree of quinoa cakes with a delicious slaw/salad under ea h cake and she had a branzino dish. Bread pudding for desert. Finally......a farm to table experience close to home . The menu is divine , wonderful selection of entree's sure to satisfy your tastebuds. The staff is attentive and warm, the vibe is elegant yet comfortable. Various seating choices make it perfect to accomodate any dining experience from romantic to family celebrations . I have visited on three occasions already and each time I was welcomed as family, received consistent impeccable service, not to mention, I left no morsel behind . Came here for Restaurant's Week. Unfortunately they do not allow kids in the bar area, which is half of the restaurant, so we had to make reservation. So for parents out there, make sure to make reservations if you choose to take your kids here. Also, they did not offer my 4 year old a plastic cup so my son was drinking from a wine glass which I'm totally fine with but just FYI Mussels: 4/5 It was fresh but not much seasoning so a bit blend Pan shrimp: 5/5 Two jumbo shrimps with root veggies as bedding. This one was delicious!! Little Necks: 5/5 I'm not a raw seafood person so I didn't even try this but according to someone who loves raw seafood this was amazing Steak: 2/5 we asked for medium and this was more like medium-well to well done...it was lack of flavor and difficult to chew. The mash potato that came with it was good though Scallops: 5/5 Don't remember what came with it but it was 3 huge scallops with something underneath and it was amazing!!! Rack of Lamb : 4/5 Very well seasoned with perfect tenderness of the meat. This one was decent just not the best I've ever had Banana Oreo Gelato: 4/5 Usually I don't like banana but our waiter highly recommended this one so we decided to give it a try. I actually loved it!! It's got huge oreo chunk with not too heavy banana flavor. My only complaint was that it's a bit watery. I usually expect gelato to be more creamy. Pumpkin Mousse: 5/5 I was really surprised how much I love this. I usually don't like sweet pumpkin dish but this one was not too heavy and the pecan pieces on top made it perfect I'm so happy that we made a good choice for restaurant week. Finally made it to NOCO. I'll start this by saying the food, atmosphere, and cocktails were all excellent. Going on a Sunday night...maybe not the best choice. When making an online reservation, all yelp would let us make was an 8pm. When we arrived, the restaurant was 90% empty....???? We could have easily made 6:30, 7, whatever. With that, we felt rushed for our entire seating, Our server was curt and was rushing all over the restaurant doing various tasks to prepare for the next day. it was somewhat uncomfortable. At the end, when I was trying to admire there diligent work routine, they mentioned how they just wanted to get out of there. I get that....but we're paying customers... So, with that said, great food, great atmosphere etc. Maybe fix the online res system or have staff contact the parties before to see if they can come earlier? But, please don't rush customers when they are frequenting your establishment. read more
