This place had great reviews so we decided to check it out right after our day of apple picking at Pennings. The bakery smelled great and already had high expectations. The coffee selection looked awesome and decided to try some as well. The girl at the counter then told me that the coffee is self served, which I already thought was weird given that we are still in a middle of a pandemic and not many places let you self serve these days. I then proceeded to get my coffee and was looking for sugar. The only sweeteners in sight were of the artificial sweeteners that I really didn't want. I had asked the girl at the counter but then she said they didn't have any sugar. I'm at a bakery...how is it possible that they have no sugar . She didn't even attempt to go in the back to see. Needless to say I was a little peeved. I ended up getting the mixed berry crumble pie since I wanted to stir clear of anything apple given that I have 2 lbs already. Had a taste of the pie in the car but thought it was just ok, however when we got home and warmed up a piece and made it ala mode, that def made a difference and it took it to a different level and have to say that it did not disappoint. We were ushered in by the cold weather and the painted "Turn Back For Pie" sign outside. Ordered a slice of the Coconut Cream Pie to split. I thought the slice was a bit on the pricey side until we received the generous portion and tasted it. In the words of Campbell's Soup, it was M'M! M'M! GOOD! The pie was fresh, rich and creamy. Have not tried their fruit pies as yet but just finished their Buffalo Chicken 9" pie. Purchased it as well as the 9" Chicken Pot pie and we are hoping the pot pie is better than the buffalo chicken. I have had a number of pies from Shannon's Eyes on the pies in their old Hewitt location and they were always as good as they looked. My mistake was not going to their Warwick location and stick with what I knew. Noble's pie had as much big chunks of potatoes as it had chicken. Should have been called "Buffalo potato with some chicken" pie. The crust was first rate so it wasn't a total failure but Shannon's is bigger, heavier, much more chicken and lesser priced. I am serving the pot pie tomorrow for a brunch with family and I am imploring the gods that it is better than today's buffalo version. If it is, I will give their fruit pies a try, as one bad experience should be forgiven. I will say it is lighter, and thinner than the first one so I'm not feeling very lucky. Really fresh and delicious homemade pies! Have been following Noble Pies social channels for quite a while and always kept in mind for an occasion where I'd need to bring dessert to my parents in Vernon. Luckily, this place popped into my mind while traveling back home this past weekend. Stopped in rather late on Sunday afternoon, and was greeted by a delightful gentleman who described all the fruit pies he had left for me to select from. All sounded delicious, but I decided on the blueberry and nectarine pie, which I'm told are freshly picked from the farm next door. Absolutely no regrets with this decision. Banoffee pie is amazing, along with all the other pies they make. When you go into the shop you can see that everything is made fresh every single day. All the staff is friendly and are always working hard. They get their fruit from ochs orchards which is less than a mile away. I can explain these one star reviews; If you leave your pie out for more than a few days or in your hot car it will obviously get moldy because the fruit is FRESH! which means no preservatives!!!!!! Delicious pies!!!! We tried the cherry pie a la mode at the shop. It was delicious, perfect balance of tart and sweetness. To take, we chose strawberry rhubarb. The crust was perfect, not overly cooked or dry. The filling was perfect. Perfectly balanced as well. The slice kept its shape, didn't fall apart. It was picture perfect, however, I didn't get a pic. Noble Pies used to have two retail locations in Warwick - the retail 'kitchen' in a mini-mall near the supermarkets (Price Chopper & Shoprite) on Route 94, the other a Café on Main Street. The Main Street location was turned into Wolfie's by the Landlord. The owners of Noble's, Tom & Leslie, are always to be found making both their sweet and savory pies at the 'kitchen'. Plainly and simply, Tom & Leslie are two of the nicest people you may ever meet. If you love dogs and horses as much as they do, then you're in for a treat. If you enjoy pie, then you may be in for an even bigger surprise. My girlfriend & I have been enjoying pies from Noble's for quite some time. Matter of fact, a Chicken Pot Pie is one of our staples for a Friday night meal. I travel up from Nyack with a bottle of wine and the 'Misses' has a savory pie and a crisp salad to start our weekend together. Pies are available in both small and large versions with miniatures frequently dotting the showcase as well. If you speak with most folks, they have a very particular way they enjoy a sweet pie. Some people must have a pie that is 'deep dish', while others prefer just a little fruit. Some folks have to have a crumb topping, others prefer the classic pie crust. Noble pies are deep dish with a classic pie crust, and sometimes crumb topping is available too. After all, it takes a fair amount of fruit to justify the $24 price tag for a large pie. The pies are made with love and the freshest local ingredients (I have seen eggs being hand delivered more than once). We've tried some of the cream pies and they are just not to our taste. Specifically, we found the toffee portion on the bottom of the 'Banoffee' and other cream pies to be too dense and sweet. Apples and peaches grow in Warwick, and Noble's makes excellent fruit pies - stick with those. For my money, however, Noble's makes the best savory pies. Chicken pot pie is the most notable, but my girlfriend prefers the Southwest version with a tortilla crust. Also, the Shepherd pie made with lamb and the Cottage pie made with ground beef are excellent as well. And on any given day, you might find a scrumptious Beef Stew pie, Chili pie, Chicken w/ Mushrooms pie and/or the newly added Pork pie topped with bacon. One last thing, not only does Nobles make chocolate chip cookies (the soft version) and scones made with seasonal local fruit, they offer a number of gluten free treats as well. All of their pies can be made gluten free with a bit of advance notice. The best gluten free choice offered daily is the mini filled sponge cake that looks just like a 'Twinkee'. But unlike the commercial brand, the ones from Noble will get stale in a few days. Noble Pies are a regal pleasure. Wish I had better things to say about this place.. maybe it's my own misconception but I came in once they opened Sunday morning hoping to get a fresh baked pie but guess they don't bake before they open. I did end up purchasing a 6 inch chicken pot pie ($14) and a large apple crumb pie ($24) both probably made a day or two before (as they didn't taste very fresh). My husband did enjoy the pot pie though crust was a bit salty.. I on the other hand did not really enjoy the apple pie as it didn't taste fresh and had been sitting on the table from the night before. I get that pies don't necessarily need to be refrigerated but it's recently been very hot so maybe that didn't help in keeping the freshness. In any case the upside was that it wasn't overly sweet, but definitely not something I'd buy again. Also, it's cute and all that the owners have a golden retriever (also featured in their window display) but I found it very odd that it was free to roam around the bakery where they prepare the pies, and by where they kept the baking trolleys where there were a number of pies sitting from night before.. Probably not the most sanitary thing to do since these type of dogs shed like crazy.. I did check in on yelp to get a free slice but as you can see from pic it didn't look too appealing so I just threw it out. They only had a few pies available by the slice and one pie was just a lonely blueberry slice from the night before.. again, did not look too fresh/appetizing.. I really was hoping to like this place but for the freshness and price level, it was a disappointment. read more

I have visited several times over this summer and have enjoyed the tomato pie which has wonderfully juicy & flavorful tomatoes with scallions and basil and 2 kinds of cheese, really nice and cheesy too. I have had it twice and it doesn't disappoint. The onion and leek pie is also excellent, very creamy with eggs and cheese. Everything is fresh and all the vegetables come from the Ochs farm nearby as does the fruit. I have had the plum pie, lemon pie and lemon meringue. All perfect to look at and taste as wonderful as they look. I look forward to trying their other pies next time I am there. Their scones are also extraordinary - Strawberry scones and chocolate chip scones and one time I had a cheddar bacon and pineapple scone that was really a winning combination. From the moment you walk into their pie shop, a wave of cinnamon and dough and fruit hits you and you're just in love. Their adorable Golden retriever greets you from behind the counter and husband and wife, decked out in aprons appear with freshly baked pies. If this doesn't scream America, I don't know what does. You feel like a million bucks when you walk in there. Not to mention, these are the friendliest people you'll meet. And yes, this is a shop dedicated to pies. All kinds!
