Some friends were staying in Warwick for a long weekend and we drove over to catch up and came here for breakfast. The place is nicely designed and the food is fine. I had a bacon, egg and cheese on a croissant and it tasted good. Service was a little rough...I repeated my coffee order (small iced coffee with milk) twice at the register and was given a large hot coffee twice. The second time, I told them it was fine and I'd just drink the hot coffee (it was no big deal) but they did provide an iced coffee, but I felt guilty about the hot coffee that was never consumed. I didn't get the vibe that the young ladies working there enjoyed the job or the customers. In any event, if you get something to go, you will likely enjoy the food! read more

We used to frequent this cafe almost every other week before pandemic. It attracted us by quick service, homey atmosphere and reasonable food. This weekend we decided to stop by after picking the last crop of apples. The cafe still has the homey vibe, but needs updates, sits are ripped and visibly patched. The place is clean. Service is disorganize, bunch of school age kids hanging behind counter, even with no line they kind of ignore you until someone a bit seasoned shows. The cheese omelet has a ?choice ?single option ?combo of 4 cheeses and I go 2 slightly melted slices of yellow American (honestly, I though of combo, it this was my oversight and I was never asked). It was ok. My husband got 2 eggs over easy, done appropriately, however, his toast was burned (see pic) and I was very surprised it made out of kitchen and through the server. So I came back in to see if maybe I came on an off day as the owner mentioned that they spend a long time on the quality of their food but I was even more disappointed then I was when I wrote my review. I got the Sizzling Buddha with bacon on it because I loved everything in it but it didn't work. It was super super sweet, even with the bacon and unfortunately too oily for me to pick up so I had to eat it with a fork and knife. I also know now that they are aren't permitted to have a fryer but the chips really are just a throw on. The drinks are still bomb though! You should definitely try some of their flavored lattes. read more

I went to brunch on Sunday, September 4 with 4 people. We had a wonderful experience. It was very pleasant atmosphere, we had delicious food that was served quickly and hot. The staff was very friendly and took time to chit chat with us. I would highly recommend this establishment. I am giving it 5 stars. I am actually shocked at some of the poor reviews I see about caffe a la mode. I love trying new places and I drag my fiancé to every new place I want to try. This was once upon a time a new place to us, but today after we left extremely satisfied my fiancé said "this is why I come here, because I know what I am getting and I know the food will always be good, stop trying to make me try new places when I don't need to" But actually the food is always amazing. The atmosphere is great, you can eat inside or out, you can have a meal or just a small bite, or coffee to go. The service is always great, and they are very friendly. This is somewhere I will always make sure to bring my family/friends whenever they are in town. I really hope anyone reading this will disregard the negative comments about this place and try it for yourself .. you will not be unsatisfied. It really is amazing!! Used to be a serviceable (if a little overpriced) place to grab a wrap and an iced coffee, but it's gone steadily downhill for years. Everything on the menu is made up mostly of it's cheapest ingredient (e.g. a chicken wrap will be mostly lettuce, roast beef wrap is mostly potatoes), coffee's often cold and carafes empty, espresso is burnt, cold brew isn't diluted right (I think they may even just give you cold brew concentrate over ice). The vibe is good but it feels like everything is just thrown together in the cheapest, easiest way possible. They seem to have a really high staff turn over, which would explain why there's always a problem when I order from them. It's sad because it's a great location and they've done a nice job with the interior, but you can literally get a better and cheaper lunch at the convenience store up the road. read more

My wife had been craving a Talkin' Turkey wrap from here since she discovered she was pregnant in November and could no longer have deli meat. Nearly 4 weeks after our son's birth, we finally were able to get out to her home town of Warwick, which took about an hour to get to from where we live. There's occasionally a long line to order but it goes by very quickly, a lot of people are just doing drink orders and not necessarily food, so don't get intimidated.
