Tempeh, ginger, excellent coffee, smiling faces.

As I am always looking for new foodie delights, I met some friends in Warwick for breakfast on a beautiful Sunday morning and they were having coffee at this place so I looked at the menu only to discover that almost nothing was familiar. Miso this and Tempeh that in unusual combinations with ginger and such; I felt like it was all too much for my under caffeinated mind, so I asked Tara, a proprietor, to give me some coffee and to feel free to surprise and delight me. She absolutely did just that. It was a parade of delicious, unexpected "not meat" delights, all fresh and yummy, lovingly served with a friendly pair of smiles. I will certainly be back again.

Tucked away in a spotlessly clean nook on the corner of Main Street and Railroad Ave. is a delightful little store front eatery whose owners care about food and it shows. The young couple who own the only fermented foods store around for miles know how to make healthy, delicious and delightful foods that are good for the body, mind and spirit. We found it because we were looking for kombucha and got something even better. A fermented drink called Jun, which was hands down the most delicious drink I have ever tried. And I've tried non-alcoholic drinks all over the US. It's a fruity, bubbly, sweet concoction made from hibiscus, rose and honey, with a splash of green tea. It was so good I was instantly hooked. After I posted a rave review on a community Facebook site, people posted about how good their tempeh Reuben was, and how much they loved the kimchi and sauerkraut (which I learned is delicious on falafel). One things for sure, the owners love and care for their space and food like true foodies, and when you visit Warwick, their Jun is a must-try!

The moment you walk in, you're greeted by a nice, intimate bar with fantastic vibes. We opted for a couple of seats at the bar. The bartender was attentive and quick, getting our drink orders started right away. The Food * Pot Pie Duo (Appetizer): As a huge fan of pot pies, I have to say these were outstanding. It comes with two mini pies--one chicken and one corned beef--served over a bed of cheesy parsnip purée and black pepper gravy. The flavors were rich and unique. * The Disco Burger: This was cooked to perfection. It was served over a bed of gravy, which was an interesting and delicious twist on a classic burger. * Green Goddess Chicken Sandwich: My wife really enjoyed this one. She said the chicken was delicious and the flavors were very fresh. Between the great service at the bar and the high-quality comfort food, we had a perfect lunch. If you are in the Warwick area, this spot is a must-visit. We will definitely be coming back!

My food has always tasted fresh and seasoned with love, a while back they had an alcoholic chai drink on the menu that was to die for and I often catch myself craving it! The service is always amazing, as the server will constantly check on you, your food & needs. They're super friendly and quick and accommodating. I think for the price, you get perfect sized portions and quality food! It may be hard to get a table some nights due to limited hours but its most definitely worth the wait. This is also my boyfriend, and his family's favorite restaurant in town!

The nice thing about it was we went to the Blarney Station at 10 Railroad - next door- and had a great meal and were served not only by the waitstaff but also the owner who was a complete joy and was very appreciative of the business! Bonus was... the food was EXCELLENT! I have to say that the night went extremely well after a horrible start because the restaurant next door, (Fourteen Railroad) who has the most arrogant unprofessional owner I've ever encountered, who tried his hardest to destroy a fun gathering of friends. Kudos to the owner and staff at Blarney Station! The owner stated they were putting a new start to the business and you can count on our group being supportive when in the area!

For our meals, the Rib-eye sliced steak sandwich was lean and cooked as ordered, steak fries were good but maybe just a slight bit overcooked - and they reminded me a bit of Iron Horse's "railroad tie" fries in Westwood, NJ. Decent fries overall. My "Dublinator" sandwich was really good! Lean sliced corned beef with carmelized onion, melted cheddar and thin slices of apple w/ garlic aioli on a toasted hero roll. Served with homemade chips. Different! Our server was very pleasant and everything was right with the world once my Guinness arrived at the table! Cheers!

I was immediately unimpressed by the presentation of a large slab of oily fried chicken on a tiny piece of waffle. The waffle was also very sugary and had an awkward crunch to it in random bits. I would def NOT recommend this meal. Even looking back at the photo I can't believe this was served, and I definitely should've asked to return it for something else. Regardless, everyone else had a wonderful meal (thus the 4-star rating) and I know their food is usually delicious, this just really threw me off. My boyfriend had the burger w MOAB and really enjoyed it. We also tried the Philly cheese steak egg rolls which were delicious! Other than the one off meal I had, I always have a pleasant time here. Our waitress was very kind and offered recommendations for apps (i should've asked her opinion on the chick+waffles lol..). The decorations are fun and I love that they have adoption services for pets. I hope to be back to try their brunch soon!
