If your looking for a great kosher deli, you need to check out this place. Their pastrami is so fatty and delicious it melts in your mouth! The prices can get high but you are definitely paying for the high quality meats

I know times are tough but the "hot" corned beef and hot pastrami could have been way hotter (temperature) and the service could have been more attentive, but haven't had a hot (well) warm corned beef in sometime and it was welcome. The Pastrami fries were a great add on. Dr Browns .

My cousin and I wanted some matzo ball soup so we went over to Noah's Ark for a fine Sunday Lunch. We were seated immediately; the restaurant is bigger than it looks from the outside. The menu was also surprisingly expansive. However my cousin is a pescetarian and we found there weren't too many options for him. He opted for a tuna salad sandwich and I got the 1/3 pound pastrami. We both got matzo ball soup. My food was admittedly decent. We were served pickles and coleslaw along with our sandwiches. The pastrami was juicy and flavorful. The bread could've been better as it was kind of soggy. For $15 I was just a little unsatisfied with my sandwich. My cousin said his tuna salad sandwich was just okay and certainly not worth the $11 it cost. The matzo ball soup was pretty standard but I felt it was on the smaller side, especially for $6. The service was okay and the restaurant was passably clean. There were several flies hovering around our table so that was pretty annoying. If you couldn't tell from my prior statements I feel like this restaurant is pretty overpriced. I don't think I'd come back.

Half container of Coleslaw

I found the place could be very expensive. Take coleslaw for example, they gave me half of a 1/2 pound container for $3, it cost .25 to make. At least fill up the container!

Took awhile to be seated. Only one waitress working and there was one lady that took her time with explaining what she wanted. Meanwhile I waited to be seated. I took that opportunity to check out the dessert case which had an assortment of tasty looking treats. After being seated a bowl of assorted pickles (which were all delicious & juicy) and a bowl of coleslaw was placed at the table while I browsed over the menu. Also a pitcher of ice water was also placed at the table. I order the pastrami on garlic bread and that was a bad choice on my end. I didn't care for the taste of garlic & pastrami. I won't order that kind of bread again with that type of meat. Atmosphere looks out dated and needs some sprucing up. I couldn't takes any flavor on the pastrami so I added the mustard which added a different taste. They have plenty of options. Best of luck with your experience.

The place is overpriced. Pastrami is mediocre. Owner is a jerk. Verbally abusive, nasty, cruel. There are far better Jewish delis around.

Marty’s - Bacon avocado

I've heard comparisons between Marty's patties and those of Five Guys, and I can see why. They're fresh rather than frozen, and they're thin enough to approximate a smashed burger with those occasional bits of char while still maintaining enough heft that you can taste the beef. Their build-your-own burger menus are also similar, with plenty of free toppings to choose from. But I would argue that Marty's offers a fuller range of toppings from diverse cheese options to more premium ones like fried eggs, bacon, and avocado. I tried two of their signature burgers, and while the Swiss mushroom dijon was a hit with my husband (he pointed out the visible mustard seeds in the dijon sauce), the bacon avocado was the clear winner in my book. It not only had bacon that was texturally perfect (crispy and densely packed atop the patty), but also picture-ready slices of avocado. For that to come out of a fast food restaurant kitchen within a matter of minutes? Color me impressed. The banana pudding is dynamite. I'm usually neither a fan of banana nor puddings because those things combined just sound like mush. But here, the pudding is more of a whipped, airy texture, and I believe it when the lid says 'made fresh' because there were chunks of banana nestled in every bite. I admit it might not be much to look at, but I was hooked after a single spoonful (I'm actually greedily scraping the bottom of the container as I type this review). The restaurant has a diminutive dining space (I counted four two-tops at most), but it feels super cozy and casual. I took my food to go and found nothing had deteriorated - in flavor, temperature, or texture - during my drive home because everything is well packaged. There's paid street parking available, but this area of Hackensack is pretty dense so you might have to circle around for a bit before finding a spot.

I tried the Double Cheeseburger, Mushroom Burger, Truffle Parmesan fries, and Poutine. Everything was great. The patties on the burgers were cooked perfectly and were flavorful. Everything in the burgers added something and I never felt like they were doing too much. The fries were nice and I enjoyed them both but I think I liked the Truffle Parmesan more--I'm a sucker for all things truffle. The poutine was surprisingly good too though. I wish the gravy were a little thicker but it was hot enough that it caused the cheese curds to get nice and melty. I'll definitely be back to try some of their other offerings.

There is always a wait at lunchtime regardless if you want to dine in or take out. I have been a fan of what they do for a long time because you just don't see this type of establishments around anymore. They have certainly stood the test of time. Beef patties, smashed with a lot of grilled finely cut onions, then add pickles, American cheese, and some ketchup, on a soft pillowy Martin's potato bread is a can't miss right? This formula has not changed here for decades. Like I said, I really appreciate the deep history. However, if I'm being honest, I wish the beef quality was better and the cook would add a tad more seasoning. For me, their burger has always tasted slightly bland compared to my favorite burger joints. Yet I still come back. Prices are not what it once was either, but what is? It's still very inexpensive. What I consider a large slider rather than a full size burger is still considered good eats in my book. I certainly would stop by when in the neighborhood if the lines are reasonable.

This may seem negligible, but if you want to eat your burger fresh off the grill having a comfortable place to do so in the store is a big plus. The burger itself with just cheese before adding addition toppings is moist and the angus beef juices give the bun just the right kick when you take a bite. Add on toppings like grilled onions, bomb sauce, lettuce pickles and you have a burger worth fighting over for the last bite. Ordering is very easy with the large menu broken into different sections including burgers, chicken sandwiches, fish sandwiches, wings hotdogs, sides, and willing staff who are able to answer questions about the menu choices. Don't forget the onion rings! These thick cut and crispy rings can almost steal the show. A nice surprise in addition to a great burger.

The fries are crispy and always consistent. Every time I get them they are crispy and delicious. I prefer these over McDonald's any time and the price isn't much different for a superior product. The shakes are pretty good too. They serve you very nicely and while you have to wait a little as least you know it's freshly made. The place is a basic eatery with clean and colorful tables and TV's to entertain you while you wait and eat so the ambiance is nice.
