We've gone twice with all of our kids and both times the waitstaff was friendly and accommodating, the service was excellent, and the kids loved the food! I got 8 travel meals and 6 out of the 8 of them were inedible. The cheese wouldn't melt on Eggplant Parmesan the opened sandwiches were disgusting I followed the instructions and they were sour the bread was soggy and I tried getting it off the food but it melted in the meat the Pasta had so much oil and it was really gross. Then I called and said that and they said they would call me back. Here I am a month later and no call. I would never recommend they're travel meals to anyone. read more

There on a Sunday afternoon with a large group. Seated right away and service was friendly and quick. As the only vegan among the group of 15 I was pleasantly surprised to see how relatively easy it was fit me to create a meal. Had the potato knish stuffed with mushrooms and a side of baked beans. $12.79 for a tuna sandwich. I'm feeling pretty ripped off. We're talking tuna salad on rye with a couple of pieces of lettuce. Oh, and a pickle. $12.79. I asked the cashier if that was the price for a platter or something, and she reassured me that this was simply the price. Now, shame on me for not looking at the menu first, although the sandwich board up above the deli counter doesn't have pricing. Still, I suppose I should have asked, or looked around for a menu with pricing. But I guess it never occurred to me that a simple tuna sandwich at a NJ deli would cost more than $6 or $7 outside of midtown Manhattan or Beverly Hills. I love Noah's Ark, their food is awesome. They have huge portions, I always pack up 1/2 of my food to go. Its great for groups and dates. I was only dissapointed in them once.. when I went on a sunday night and they said they were out of Chicken! Which is crazy! Absolutely delicious beef brisket! All their meats are tender and flavorful - especially the corned beef - melt in your mouth! The service is prompt, efficient, and friendly. Portion sizes are not "absurd" as per the usual kosher deli, which is definitely preferable. read more

Nothing was bad and actually the pickles and cole slaw were reasonably good. But as for their world famous pistrami sandwich save your money and get one at the deli counter of your local supermarket. The rye bread was no better than average packaged rye and the pistrami was a modest lump of flavorless meat thrown in a ball on the center all for $12-. Oh, did I mention the service? The deli has improved. The burgers are still good and the fries are great. The pastrami has gotten much better. Unfortunately, the service was pretty bad on my last two visits. I went for lunch on a Friday and a Sunday. Both times we were pretty much ignored by the waitress, who came 10 minutes after we say down to take our order and then to bring our food and that was it. She wasn't friendly at all and didn't even say hello or offer to get us drinks. Yes, they close earlier on Friday but I went at 2 with my parents. After the waitress finally came to take our order (she didn't come to take drink orders when we sat down) my mother was still deciding and the waitress told her the kitchen was closing soon, basically telling her to hurry up. Not only was she rude, but a family of five was seated 10 minutes later so apparently there wasn't as much of a rush on the kitchen as the waitress insinuated. If I had a Jewish grandmother, and she served me dinner, it would taste like Noah's cooking. Noah tends to season the food less than some other restaurants, and that's fine with me. My Jewish mother, who was born in Europe, never discovered herbs or spices, so I'm used to food being tasty but bordering on bland. Noah's food is always fresh and satisfying. Their tongue on rye sandwiches are delicious but a little dry (because the meat is lean, which I appreciate), so I use mustard on the bread and eat it with a generous side of their cole slaw. Their cole slaw is delicious if you love sweet cole slaw. Their french fries are great, as long as you get a fresh batch. I prefer the hot open turkey sandwich with gravy to the hot open brisket; the brisket is a bit chewy and I like my brisket to be melt-in-your-mouth soft. Their chopped liver is great and so are their rugelach. Happy noshing. read more

We went on Wednesday evening on Judy 12th. Our waitress was lovely and was doing her best. She said they were very short staffed. The food was ok. We waited 45 minutes for someone to take our order. When our friend spoke with someone by the name of Tony he abruptly in a loud manner snapped at him. He just wanted for someone to take our order. We asked to see the Manager and we were told he left for the evening. Overall disappointed if help is not there then warn the customers so they have the option of going elsewhere. read more

This was my first time here and when you walk through, you walk through a store part where the men at the deli counter greeted us. They were very nice. But that was where it all ended. We walked to the back and waited 2 minutes for the waitress to seat us. She took us to the first booth and being that we were with a person who was a little bit larger and we asked for a table. There was no one in the place and they refused to give us a table because they said their tables are only for a party of 2. And i asked them ti move tables tigether and again refused. I wanted to leave but the others that werected with me wanted to stay so we were able to slide the table in the booth back and forth. Then we ordered and she just took our order not 2 seconds seriously and I wanted to change it and the girl said I'm sorry but there is no manager on the site and she is not allowed to change the order without a manager. So I said no problem. When the food came I was so disappointed they charged us $15 for a sandwich that was nowhere near the size or quality of katz's or Harold's. Also I was very happy they were not willing to accommodate me on changing my sandwich because everyone else on the table ordered pastrami and they were complaining and it looked dry and looked like they fried it. So they did me a favor there. They have a lot of nerve charging that much for a sandwich. Then we asked for our $7 soup to go and they said they didn't think they had a container for it. Then to finalize the meal the girl gives us the bill and she couldnt give us a change of a $20 so no tip for you. I usually give restaurants a second chance but definitely will not be back here again. Avoid this place if you are looking for a Jewish deli. I've been dining at Noah's Ark for over 10 years. When I think of Deli, I think Noah's Ark. It's the best corned beef in town. They offer two types of pickles and coleslaw when you sit. They have a huge menu with all the classics, including a new burger menu with lot of great choices. Service is friendly and efficient & food is on point. We get deli platters at work which are a hit. I'm not Jewish, but I love this place. 5 stars all the way!!! read more

The service here is absolutely terrible. While the food was good, the waiter was not on point. He was spacey for the beginning. He then charged us incorrectly. When we made him aware he proceeded to get angry and storm off with the check. He then came back with a revised bill and an attitude. So piece of advice: if you are there for lunch and want something off the lunch special make sure you tell them. They will automatically charge you for the regular even if you were not aware this existed. A real shiesty move! read more

This is a classic kosher deli with a nice amount of alternative items for those not in the mood for pastrami. From the cole slaw and pickles that are provided complementary to the heaping deli sandwiches everything is authentic and delicious. Noah's sky high pastrami sandwich rivals anything you can get in Manhattan! Corned beef, roast beef and all your other favorites are here too. The only caveat, this is truly a kosher restaurant, no just "kosher style" which means there is no milk or milk products served so you'll have to skip the Swiss on your Reuben but it's totally worth it. read more

I was in the mood for stuffed cabbage and I went here. The food had been ok-fair-moderately good on other occasions, but today it was decidedly different. First, purchasing cole slaw to go, I was told by the counter man that he had weighed it out; which he didn't. I asked him to weigh it in front of me and it was short. He put more in and told me he'd only charge me for the 1/2lb. I wanted; it was a fraction more. The 2 stuffed cabbage, which came from the kitchen at my request, were tried when I got home. Let me put this as delicately as I can. Either the purveyor of their chopped meat or meat in general has changed or this food was almost about to go over the line and into the garbage. It was and is the worst stuffed cabbage I have had in my life and that's saying a lot. I make it better and my mother-in-law would have gotten a gold star if tested against Noah's Ark's terrible effort. It went directly where it belonged when I got home; into the garbage. It wasn't cheap and, yes, kosher food is more expensive, but I expect quality with price. That's it for me. Not going back. read more

Went here on a recommendation. I love Pastrami so thats what I ordered to go. The meat was very lean to the point that the meat almost tasted dry. Note, when I say I like pastrami, that's all you'll find between the bun. nothing else, no sauerkraut or mustard, thats it! I actually would have preferred it to have been a little greasy to give it some more flavor. anyway, this Lunch sandwich was about 6 inchs long on a club roll for which they charged extra and with a bottle of soda I walked out of their paying almost $17 on a takeout. Overall, I'll give them a Good rating because it wasnt up to my expections. I still think the best place around for Pastrami or Cornbeef sandwich's is Bennies in Fairlawn, seconded by the Big Portions at Harold's in Lyndhurst. read more

Very disappointing. My wife and I ordered medium hamburgers, both came out very well done. Her hot water for tea was full of dark particles. Waitstaff holds glasses and cups but the rims - not hygenic. Also, the bus boy only wipes down those parts of a table that appeared to be used. So, if a party of 2 sits down at a table where a single person previous;y sat, the entire table was probably not wiped down. Worse, not all silverware is replaced!! So, if you sit down, the knife in front of you might have been used, however briefly, by your predecessor. Service was not too attentive. Yecch! read more
