DO NOT TRUST THIS BUSINESS IF YOU ARE IN NEED!
I have never left a bad review before, and I work in customer service myself, so I'm usually very understanding when something goes wrong. Unfortunately, my experience with Troy was extremely disappointing.
I hired Troy to remove a stuck ignition cylinder. Before agreeing to let him drill it out, I specifically asked if drilling the cylinder or surrounding housing would damage my car because I was preparing to sell it. He assured me it would not. Afterward, the replacement cylinder would not stay secured. Another locksmith inspected the vehicle and told me the surrounding housing had been damaged, made a temporary repair, and advised me not to disturb it. There were also metal shavings left throughout my vehicle.
I contacted Troy and requested a refund or some type of resolution. Instead, he said he would not consider a refund unless he came back out for another fee or I provided a video of the cylinder falling out. I explained that I was not comfortable having him work on the vehicle again and could not disturb the temporary repair. I also asked to speak with a manager and was told there was nobody else I could speak with.
The phone conversation lasted over 20 minutes. I remained polite, but Troy became defensive and disrespectful. I gave him two days to consider the situation and followed up, yet there was still no attempt to offer a refund, partial refund, or other resolution.
My biggest issue is not simply that something went wrong--it's how it was handled afterward. If I had been told drilling could damage my vehicle, I would not have agreed to it.
He may be capable of basic services like key replacement, but based on my experience, I would not trust him with complicated ignition or vehicle work.
I strongly recommend getting a second opinion before allowing this business to drill or modify anything on your vehicle. read more
