The pain au chocolat was also excellent: crisp layers with just the right amount of dark chocolate. Coffee was smooth and rich, and refills on brewed coffee are free. The café has a relaxed vibe, and even though it was busy, the service was quick and friendly. Prices are a bit high, but worth it for the quality. Recommend if you're looking for a great coffee and pastry spot, convenient to city center. Outdoor seating if you're lucky enough to land a spot. Although the passageway where the interior seating is situated seemed awkward it actually worked out well. Service, despite a crowd, was fairly quick, I would rate the coffee an A or 9/10 on the scale of strength, low acidity/smoothness. It is espresso based and made to exact order. There are serval options for milk (whole, oat, 1/2 and 1/2, etc). The major complaint would be that there is no easy place to throw away your rubbish, nor is there a place that is clearly evident to bust your dishes, which is much needed given that this is a super busy place.. The staff is too busy to bus tables regularly, which backs up the availability of seating . This is the major reason for a one star deduction.. TIP: You can buy beans or ground coffee for home brewing.

Princess cake - (68 SEK = $6.81 USD) - A princess cake consists of a layer of green marzipan that is chewy and has a strong almond flavor. The one here is thinner than most places I have tried. Underneath it is some whipped cream, a vanilla sponge cake layered with custard and then a thin layer of raspberries. It tasted incredible and I really enjoyed it, especially how fresh all the ingredients were. Budapest pastry - (68 SEK = $6.81 USD) - This consisted of a hazelnut meringue with a very nutty taste. On the inside was a roll of pastry cream and strawberries. This was another great tasting pastry. Cappuccino - (54 SEK = $5.41 USD) - The cappuccino here is smooth and not bad. Overall Vette Katten is a must stop to try the Princess cake. I heard their cinnamon buns are good too, but didn't get a chance to try them.

The restaurant is on the first floor. I climbed the red carpeted stairs to the right and was instantly greeted by the menu and a waitress. The decor is posh and trendy. The atmosphere has a great city vibe. Even on a Tuesday, the restaurant was quite full. Prices can go from 150-300kr a person, depending how hungry you are. Regardless of what you order, a complementary basket of breads and butter is served. The food took around 20-25 minutes from order-to-table. Judging from the food freshness, quality, taste to the attentive service and cool ambiance, Paul's has really made a strong first impression. I can't wait to go back and try other delicious dishes, because that menu has nothing I wouldn't like to eat.

We chose this place since it was 1min walk from our hotel and were actually recommended to this place by our taxi driver. We (party of 2) were seated at the bar without any wait. Ambience/interior was amazing for our last night. We ordered the toast skagen (full size) + meatballs, both were delicious (though for lactose intolerant ppl beware, as my friend and I both felt extremeeely bloated throughout the entire night afterwards), probably one of our best meals in Stockholm. Prices were slightly on the higher side (esp for the toast skagen, which has 4 halves of toasts), but overall great for a lighter meal + vibes.

We thought the food was good but probably a half-step down from some of our other dinners on our trip. My wife's chicken was overcooked, my daughter's meatballs were fine but they lacked the depth of flavor of other variants we had, and I liked my asparagus vegetarian entree but it was mostly about the sauce. We ordered their supposedly famous almonds to start but those never came. The dessert was good, with a scoop of ice cream over a simple cookie and topped with a delicious caramel sauce. Nice place. Staff was good. Love the history- you can taste it in the food. Fun place. We'd go back.

The energy is buzzing, chic, and effortlessly Stockholm. I went for a Queen's Negroni to kick things off (a dangerously smooth twist on the classic) and paired it with their pommes frites and aioli, which might honestly ruin all other fries for me. Perfectly crisp, golden, and that aioli? Let's just say I considered asking for a to-go jar. The whole vibe is stylish but still welcoming where you get the sense this is where locals actually hang out, not just a tourist checklist spot. Service was sharp, warm, and kept the night flowing without a hitch. Bottom line: Nybrogatan 38 isn't just a meal, it's a mood. Come for the cocktails, stay for the fries, and leave plotting your return.
