Giant cinnemon roll

Tucked away from the otherwised so buzzed up Östermalm in Stockholm you'll find this french brasserie (owned by a greek family). Our native friend brought us here on a Saturday morning after she'd spoken of their cinnamon buns. We decided to have our breakfast here and there were enough space for us indoor to sit cause of the early hour and it was still too cold to sit outside in their cute outdoor area. The guy who helped us was very friendly and not didn't have the, way too often, snotty Stockholmish attitude. We ordered Croque Madame which was a slice of sourdough bread with smoked ham, a fried egg and cheese-delicious. The accompanied salad was a little too boring and the plate could have contained just a little more regarding its price-125 skr. With the Croque we tried the mango and blueberry smoothies-the mango one was definately totally awesome.. And last...the winner!!!! (If it had the chance to enroll in YELPS cinnamon bun contest) the spoken cinnamon bun met everyones expectations..the filling with almond paste was genious and so delicious-I do so very much recommend this bun and truly a visit at Café Saturnus! But be prepared-3 croques-3 smoothies and 1 bun -approx. 600 skr!

Just another cafe. Totally overhyped especially their famous oversized cinnamon roll. First of all, the service was great ... Plus free wifi! Second, the roll itself was too big and thus it is still super doughy and wet inside. We did not finish the roll not because of the size but rather because of the texture of the inner part. The table next to us also ate just the crispy outside and left with a huge chunk of dough on the plate. In short, dont get this oversized cinnamon (50 sek a piece and not worth it) Other things might be delicious but I am not too sure because I didnt to try anything else. The tarts seem a bit expensive at 70 sek a piece

Amazing! Worth all 5 stars. This is a kind of place I have been looking for for years! We went here for a Saturday Fika and was very impressed. There is a great atmosphere, the staff are amazing and friendly and the interior is classic french. This is quite a small place that is packed, and although it is quite loud with people speaking, it has a nice atmosphere to sit and just take a coffee or do some work on your laptop. The staff were just excellent. Really friendly and funny, If I had to be picky and find something to complain about, they did not give any napkins and did take our coffee away when my girlfriend went to the toilet. Otherwise, they set the bar for customer service. The kanelbullar are GIANT! Great for sharing, maybe a bit much for one person. And the coffee is perfect. I am tired of the burnt, over boiled coffee from the high street chains. Café Saturnus has the perfect coffee that tastes great and is just what you need for a classic Fika (with a french twist - great interior, cosy feeling and a very Parisian vibe). Overall, Café Saturnus is now my favourite coffee shop in Stockholm!

HUGE kardemummabullar

Came here at the suggestion from a friend who had been to Stockholm a few years earlier. She said that the kardemummabullar here were enormous and boy, was she not joking. They had other humongous rolls on display and it was super busy when I had gone in. The place is cute, albeit a bit cramped. Service was okay. As for the kardemummabullar itself? It was too doughy for me, particularly the inside. I tried to eat as much as I could, but it was too damn big for me. The place seems to be quite popular, but if you're trying to seek out good kardemummabullar, I'd suggest going somewhere else. Their other offerings looked pretty good, for what it's worth.

Right down the street from me in the Ostermalm neighborhood, this quaint, French brasserie like bistro serves up a killer brunch on weekends with freshly-baked patisseries and desserts, homemade omelettes, and other simple brasserie-like faire. The atmosphere is fantastic. Totally a place to bring a book and read in the late afternoon. The service is excellent (you order at the counter, then someone comes around serving on you and getting you water and coffee and juice). The place gets packed in the morning, but since it's hidden it's still less packed that Café Nero just up the street. Also good for a hangover after a ballin' Friday night. :)

Tasty yet not what we were expecting when it was recommended we come here for a cinnamon bun. If you're thinking of an American cinnamon roll this is not it. Where's the gooey glaze??? Plus it's cold. More like a sweet pretzel yet not quite as dense. Cute cafe though.

My favorite local place! Christos runs a GREAT restaurant & coffeehouse! Very inventive menu, & the Eggs Benedict is insanely good! Freshly baked cakes & pies ensures that everyone is happy. Go for brunch, but get there early! Its very popular.

Both cinnamon bun and cardamom bun were great, nothing to compare with. Cappuccino was great, just little bit cold. I give 5 stars.

This little shop is in a great location of Gamla Stan and has friendly staff that welcome you warmly. This is mostly a vegan spot, however some items did have cheese, so make sure you know what you're ordering. They also featured piroshkis and turnovers as well. If you're looking for a delicious place to experience Fika, this is one of the best cafés around Stockholm to do it!

Small and well-situated along one of many narrow streets in Old Town, an outside patio empty on arrival with only two young women inside chatting while a clerk who appeared Indian went about his business after a smiling "Hej," it was after browsing the small selection and asking a few questions answered in excellent English that four items were picked, a fifth added for free in the form of a white star. Taking items elsewhere to enjoy, the Bakery a bit warm given its small size and ovens, it was after pictures were snapped that the complimentary Kokos Blomma was tasted, the flavor of Coconut quickly flooding the mouth though the texture was chalky and unpleasant enough to discourage additional bites. Improving slightly henceforth, the Cinnamon Roll nicely flavored but expectedly dry considering its limitations in terms of ingredients, it was with intrigue that exceedingly moist Carrot Cake was tasted, the bitter Greens presumably Tops or perhaps Kale and the sweetness likely from Figs while a slice of Pie featuring Pears and Pecans was a highlight despite its soggy Crust. Lacking most of the traditional Pastries sampled elsewhere in town, a "Rawfoodbol" saved for last standing in for Sweden's ubiquitous Coconut-covered Chocolate Balls, it was not the Nuts so much as a the grainy Cocoa center that left all but one bite uneaten alongside at least 50% of everything else save for the Pie.
