I have seen this small chain of bakeries and cafes several times but never tried it before a yelp social. This specific location was opened just a week before my visit here but they seemed to be ready for business. The space is fairly small so they are probably aiming for a lot of customers taking their food with them. There are however around 10 seats inside as well as several seats outside - it is however on the fairly busy Sveavägen so not really the nicest spot to sit outside at.
Focus here is of course bread and baked goods. The breakfast that I opted for was the big breakfast which includes a large sandwich of your choice (they had egg and caviar, ham, cheese and ham&cheese to select from), coffee of your choice as well as a an almond cookie. The sandwiches looked delicious and they are not at all bad - just not that great either. I was satisfied with the egg sandwich and the ham&cheese one was ok. I would however be expecting a bit more from a bakery. The almond cookie was good, a bit too sweet for my taste but still tasty. Where they really fail is the coffee - poor quality beans makes the coffee pretty bad. These days there are plenty of good options to get some specialty coffee in and any place with some quality focus should offer something decent at least.
Price-wise the breakfast is 59 SEK and that is not bad, with the offer they had via Yelp this week it was 2 for 1 so 2 breakfasts for 59 SEK is really good. I could imagine coming back for breakfast if I was in the area but not worth going out of your way to come here. Still if you live or work in the area it can be a good option. read more
