Amazing food. I had the avocado on rye and greek yoghurt. Quick service and a nice atmosphere.

The food was great. However, the avocado toast was expensive for the small portion that I received.

Absolute favorite cafe in Stockholm! If you go here you have to try their banana bread. It's more a desert type. They will roast the bread and then they drizzle a bit of honey and sprinkle some walnuts over. But the mascarpone cheese on the side takes this taste experience to an whole another level.

Beautiful courtyard view would be soothing if not for the loud music playlist on repeat

The Kv! At least I missed the sign saying anything more than that from the street so if you don't know exactly where this is then watch for that. It's a nice looking place (though I still haven't quite figured out the need especially around Vasastan to make the interior look like the shower at the gym). Really beautiful courtyard visible from one of the backrooms, and (fitting the theme) shower-mat-like, mini-bear (or giant-rabbit) mats/cushions to sit on. The music was a bit loud for a cafe, kind of distracting and unnecessary. I felt like I was in a hip bar or something, though I heard at least 1 song twice in a 25 minute span. I also felt like it was slightly expensive but I suppose it's just the area. There were lots of 18 yo girls chatting very loudly (volume of music didn't help) and very frequently which was also a bit annoying, but that's just bad luck on my part I think. The WiFi broke for a few minutes after about an hour and change, and then seemed to break permanently towards the end of my work session so I figured it was time to leave. I'm sure they would have rebooted it for me but it doesn't inspire confidence. The staff seemed friendly. I bet their food is pretty good -- I liked the menu. I had a flower vase shaped blueberry muffin which was quite greasy but good. Despite it's small muffin stature, it carried a large muffin price. I'm not exactly sure why I give this place 4 stars, but it seems too eloquent and homely not to, I suppose. It seems like it could be a chill place, if not for the loud music volume. And I guess you can get work done here, if the WiFi stays up.

The area around Sankt Eriksplan has a lot of good cafes and I wouldn't necessarily pick one above the other. Kaffeverket has a nice interior, a really good menu for either brunch or fika, with buns, cakes, oat meals, yogurt, basically anything you'd wish for. I've so far only been able to visit this place in the weekend and a big downside is that the acoustics in the cafe is really bad so whenever there are a lot of people inside, which there always are, it gets chatty inside. It's like walking into a school canteen. Maybe this is not the case if you're visiting on a weekday? This time I really liked that they took their time while preparing the cafe lattes we ordered. Sometimes when a cafe gets busy they try to do everything more efficiently which usually affects the quality of the coffee. It can of course be understandable, but still I appreciate that they took their time.

Very cosy little cafe close to St Eriksplan tube station. Offering some salads and hot sandwiches, which I didn't try, and a small selection of pastries. The jam biscuit (hallongrotta) was very nice and so was the big slice of cardamom cake. The coffee is excellent, the cappuccino was strong but not bitter and with the right amount of milk in it. The interior is, well, different, with tiled walls and wooden panels. There are quite a few tables inside that are mostly free as people will grab the few tables outside first, even though these are right next to a well trafficked road.

    Lentil Salad (100/120 SEK)

Kaffeverket has become a hip place among Stockholm locals and is pretty crowded during morning hours and around lunch. Their menu includes a variety of fresh salads, sandwiches, pastries and delicious coffee. This specific salad was divine, but unfortunately the chicken was served slightly dry. Next time I will try their breakfast.

This is a pretty charming café and definitely a good choice for those, who love good coffee. I really enjoyed my cappuccino and hope you'll appreciate yours, too.

We came here an early Sunday morning, before I had to catch the bus back to Arlanda Airport (which leaves from right on the other side of the street, next to Fridhemsplan t-bana). That perfect location made us choose to go here, but I'd definitely go back! At first it looked as if they don't have that much to choose from thought, but all three of us got what we wanted and they serve good coffee ánd fresh orange juices! I went for a croissant, kanelbulle (to say goodbye to Sweden ;)), a latte and an orange juice and paid 105kr for all that. It was more than enough to start the day with, take a bus to the airport to ánd fly back to Amsterdam, so I was happy. And yep: I'm a fan.

They had really limited options to choose from. 3,4 kinds of pastry, 2 kinds of juices, one kind of yogurt & fried egg sandwiches with/ without salami on them. The sandwiches were stacked up on top of each other outside the fridge right at the cashier( the point where you walked in) so I assumed they were there only to display so I asked here that if I order egg sandwich I'll get a hot egg, right? She said no these are the sandwiches & it is served cold, do you want hot, I said yeah assuming that she was gonna crack an egg for me and make one but then she just put one of those sandwiches in a microwave! And you probably know what kind of smell to expect from a heated fried egg!! Absolutely disgusting! They also serve their coffee in a plastic cup which was a huge minus for me. I think the whole idea with this cafe must have been a hipster simple hang out but it has gone terribly wrong and all that is, is really a dump looking place with a bunch of worn out furniture & plastic dishes to serve food in! And last but not least, they charge me 70 SEK for a fairly small( compare to other cafes) sandwich & a lousy late which makes this place one of the most overpriced cafes in the whole Stockholm!

The interior is warm and cozy in the winter, and despite the busy and fairly loud seating along Sankt Eriksgatan, it's a good spot to sit outside, considering. The Chai Tea Latte is massive but varies widely on taste (remember it fondly in the Winter, not so much in the Summer), and what's up with the 5kr refills for coffee? Jury is in on the Muffins: not worth it though they look like they will be. Overall, I still have a lot of love for this place and recommend it for the area. It's a good spot to work, a good spot for a conversation and it's open late.

Great address, friendly staff behind the counter. Prices are as in all other cafés in the city - around 80 SEK for a salad, around 40 SEK for any slice of pie or cake. But what do you get? The salad is a bit dry (they offer extra vinegrette in a bottle at the counter) and the chocolate cake is too (but vinegrette probably won't help that). Cream for your hot chocolate or chocolate cake comes from a can. Not very luxurious but the public has gotten used to it so I guess we have to settle for it. The hours are very generous (for being Stockholm) - they're even open till 10 pm on Sundays. However, well before 9:40 pm they picked everything off our table, shut down the music, turned up the lights and started just standing around to indicate that they really wanted us out of there. Minutes later they started moving tables and cleaning the floor. I'm of the opinion that if a place claims to be open until 10 pm, guest should be able to be there and feel welcome until 10 pm. If they want to clean out the place and go home by 10, they should say they're open for guests until 9:30. Now we left rather bummed out. If nothing else is open (which unfortunately is likely), I'd come back here.

Recommend if you're looking for a great coffee and pastry spot, convenient to city center. Outdoor seating if you're lucky enough to land a spot. Although the passageway where the interior seating is situated seemed awkward it actually worked out well. Service, despite a crowd, was fairly quick, I would rate the coffee an A or 9/10 on the scale of strength, low acidity/smoothness. It is espresso based and made to exact order. There are serval options for milk (whole, oat, 1/2 and 1/2, etc). The major complaint would be that there is no easy place to throw away your rubbish, nor is there a place that is clearly evident to bust your dishes, which is much needed given that this is a super busy place.. The staff is too busy to bus tables regularly, which backs up the availability of seating . This is the major reason for a one star deduction.. TIP: You can buy beans or ground coffee for home brewing.

So, when we got up and were ready to go, we headed to a cafe that came highly recommended. When we got there, 45 minutes after it was supposed to open, it was unfortunately closed. So, we ended up walking around the city, hoping to find another option for a good breakfast. We didn't find anything on our walk, so we jumped on a bus and looked around. We went by a place that looked like it had potential, so we stopped the bus and got off. We walked into Thelins Konditori and saw an amazing assortment of baked goods and sweets! I looked up on the menu board and was extremely excited to see Pannkaka! I ordered up a glass of hot chocolate and some pannkakor. Thelins is a very nice Konditori with a good atmosphere. It is clean and the employees are helpful. The restrooms are extremely dimly lit. The woman behind the counter gave us some small glasses of hot chocolate with whipped cream. The chocolate definitely was not hot... lukewarm at best. The whipped cream was great and the flavor was really good too. I would rank Thelins 9th place in my hot chocolate tour of Europe. The pancakes were excellent! There were 3 pancakes folded up in triangles and served with a cup of whipped cream and a cup of strawberries to top them off. The flavor and texture of the pancakes were great and I was very happy to finally have some Swedish pancakes. Thelins is extremely expensive, but that is pretty much a common theme in all of the restaurants and cafes in Stockholm.
