It's a tasting menu and the menu reads thusly: 1. belly of pig, tar, cumin, horseradish - It was a lettuce wrap with pork belly---- fabulous! Crisp tasty morsels of pork belly in a heavenly sauce on a lettuce leaf. 2. Green tomatoes, scallops, celeriac, smoke - Wow! A translucent large Scallop in a mild flavorful sauce. 3.nasturtium, raw beef, smoked mackerel , charred onion - yum, tasty marinated thin strips of beef. 4.roasted point cabbage, cod, almond, spruce shoots, chanterelles - the weakest of the fine entries.... still... very good. then the desserts 5. la age, lemon, rhubarb, friend milk ---- fried milk? I'm now a fan. 6. raspberry, yoghurt, sea salt, olive oil - olive oil in the dessert works..who would have known? Great service, friendly, informative and knowledgeable about the wine choices. What a great evening!

Less travelled areas will still see pretty similar prices. That's why I love this particular restaurant. For around $70 per person you will experience an amazing 7 course tasting menu with excellent food and beautifully plated, easily worthy of a Michelin star. The depth of flavor and texture in every dish had everyone in our group more than satisfied. I thoroughly enjoyed the scallop, chicken liver, and cod dishes most. Service was excellent. The only knock would be the length of time we spent here. It was about a 3.5 hour experience, which is a little bit too long. However, without reservation, this was the best fine-dining meal I've had so far this year.

They offer superior quality hot and pre-made dishes at decent prices, ordered counter style. Their soup of the day during my visit was tomato, served with a generous dollop of tangy yogurt and basil oil. You could tell that this stuff was made fresh, not poured from a can. They have a generous free bread basket that you can help yourself to, providing delicious, hearty, chewy bread to dunk in your soup, or dip in a little dish of olive oil (also gratis). They offer a tempting array of baked goods, but they also sell delicious Danish chocolate bars from Simply Chocolate at the register (I am partial to the "Grainy Sue", which is basically a granola bar covered in chocolate). Seating is plentiful, as they have several rooms set up with tables in different configurations, including an outdoor patio. This is a very kid-friendly environment, and there were lots of strollers lined up at midday. They also offer free Wifi if you're needing to get some internet time in.

And: it's way better than the (quite uncosy, if you ask me) cafe that Moderna Museet has itself. They seem to serve amazing coffees and have fancy juices and lemonades, but as we really just needed a quick bite, we went for water (that you can just take for free). There were many good looking salads and sandwiches to choose from, but as I'm not always spending my weekends in Stockholm (or Sweden in general), I obviously had to go for some sort of bulle. Cinnamon, cardamom - they had it all, and they looked awesome. But they also had saffransbullar, which is something I hadn't tasted before, so we obviously (both) went for that one. It was very sweet, but extremely good and filling, too. Just because of the distance from the rest of the city, I wouldn't just walk to Skeppsholmen just to go to Café Blom, but if I'll ever visit one of the museums again, I'd definitely go here. It's cosy, not too pricy and did I already say how delicious their food is? Well. Yep.

The pain au chocolat was also excellent: crisp layers with just the right amount of dark chocolate. Coffee was smooth and rich, and refills on brewed coffee are free. The café has a relaxed vibe, and even though it was busy, the service was quick and friendly. Prices are a bit high, but worth it for the quality. Recommend if you're looking for a great coffee and pastry spot, convenient to city center. Outdoor seating if you're lucky enough to land a spot. If not, there's a nice park across the way, if you order take away.

Although the passageway where the interior seating is situated seemed awkward it actually worked out well. Service, despite a crowd, was fairly quick, I would rate the coffee an A or 9/10 on the scale of strength, low acidity/smoothness. It is espresso based and made to exact order. There are serval options for milk (whole, oat, 1/2 and 1/2, etc). The major complaint would be that there is no easy place to throw away your rubbish, nor is there a place that is clearly evident to bust your dishes, which is much needed given that this is a super busy place.. The staff is too busy to bus tables regularly, which backs up the availability of seating . This is the major reason for a one star deduction.. TIP: You can buy beans or ground coffee for home brewing.
