Cappuccino, fresh orange, carrot & ginger juice and our new buddy the octopus!
    Zenia N.

Being an extremely passionate breakfast & brunch enjoyer, I have recognized that it's not only the taste that matters, but all of our six senses coming together to combine an buzzing experience from the moment you see the place and decide to give it a shot, to the last bite and the feeling of completeness. I will cover the whole experience in my review, so if you're in for authentic and raw honest ride, let's go! * The Welcome Right of the bat, the welcome was a little tired, we didn't quite know if we should wait to get seated or just grab a menu and seat ourselves. It wasn't a busy time and there weren't so many people, so there was definitely time for a warm welcome and some info (Especially when you get eye contact) Oh well. We searched the menu by a table inside, quickly found some deliciousness to eat and ordered, by then my girlfriend saw a couple leave a table outside so we decided to grab it! As we went outside they gave us a toy octopus, instead of having table numbers they hand out these toy animals, pretty cool idea! * The Place & The Vibe Inside I got a cool kind of Silicon Valley Co-Working vibe, some people sat with their laptops, phones, others where there just to enjoy some well deserved food. Overall calm and chill vibe, nice seatings and very light & open area. Outside felt very cheap, kind of 7-eleven metal style tables in the middle of the pedestrian street, no "closed of" area, no feelings, no vibe. * The Service Well, we all have our days, our ups & downs, and life happens. It feels as though at the day we where there, all staff where kind of tired, no welcome, out table was not properly cleaned (they didn't clean it until they brought out our food) and didn't wipe the table clean. Besides that, I understand that we are all people and have our personal lives, but I also love a genuinely passionate welcome and service! * The Menu & The Food Oh my oh my.... as a old graphic designer, the menu was definitely not a joy for my eyes. I mean, come on, don't be lazy, it doesn't take much time nor money to design a simple and stylish menu, just do it! The lines where messy as one line contained more than one item, very confusing. Overall, the menu contained the classic breakfast & brunch items such as a large variation of bowls with different kind of toppings such as: nuts, fruits, granola, super foods and much more. Porridge, also with different kind of toppings and danish rye bread sandwiches, egg sandwiches, grilled croissant, and much more - all made gluten free if you wish. Also a large drink variety, cold fresh juices, fresh coffee and chocolate drinks made on oat milk, and of course some tea. * The End Well, here we go, the raw honest truth. The food was delicious, making a perfect scrambled egg is art, and they nailed it! Grilled croissant was a first one of this kind for me and definitely a cool idea, though my love for a simple freshly baked croissant is greater. The bowl had a perfect balance of all topics and the size was perfect for breakfast / lunch, very full. Last but not leas the 100% eggs avocado sandwich, heavenly! But in my opinion the one thing on the menu which feels a little overprice, even though the eggs where perfectly made. In my opinion, this place is definitely worth one meal sometime, but definitely not a "must".

    Julmacka with gluten free bread

I've visited the Pom & Flora cafe on Södermalm a couple of times before and think it's great that they have a new location close to Odenplan. Their menu is a varied combination of thing that all sound amazing and it would work well for anything between early breakfast, brunch or late fika. I had bread with banana and, I guess it was, nut cream. It was possible to get gluten free bread, but they only had one type of gluten free bread which could be used as exchange in any one of the menu options. The bread was good though so I were happy with the choice. I also got coffee, but to be honest I would rather have stayed without the coffee and gotten something more to eat instead. The inside of the cafe is covered with seating tables and on a Friday pre-noon almost all seats were taken. It didn't feel cramped because the ceiling level was high enough but the noise level was a big problem. They had put up a notice in the entrance of the cafe saying that they were aware of the problem and were planning on fixing it as soon as possible. I don't know how it can be solved, but It is great that they want to do something about it. There are so many other cafes with the same problem.

We came here an early Sunday morning, before I had to catch the bus back to Arlanda Airport (which leaves from right on the other side of the street, next to Fridhemsplan t-bana). That perfect location made us choose to go here, but I'd definitely go back! At first it looked as if they don't have that much to choose from thought, but all three of us got what we wanted and they serve good coffee ánd fresh orange juices! I went for a croissant, kanelbulle (to say goodbye to Sweden ;)), a latte and an orange juice and paid 105kr for all that. It was more than enough to start the day with, take a bus to the airport to ánd fly back to Amsterdam, so I was happy. And yep: I'm a fan.

They had really limited options to choose from. 3,4 kinds of pastry, 2 kinds of juices, one kind of yogurt & fried egg sandwiches with/ without salami on them. The sandwiches were stacked up on top of each other outside the fridge right at the cashier( the point where you walked in) so I assumed they were there only to display so I asked here that if I order egg sandwich I'll get a hot egg, right? She said no these are the sandwiches & it is served cold, do you want hot, I said yeah assuming that she was gonna crack an egg for me and make one but then she just put one of those sandwiches in a microwave! And you probably know what kind of smell to expect from a heated fried egg!! Absolutely disgusting! They also serve their coffee in a plastic cup which was a huge minus for me. I think the whole idea with this cafe must have been a hipster simple hang out but it has gone terribly wrong and all that is, is really a dump looking place with a bunch of worn out furniture & plastic dishes to serve food in! And last but not least, they charge me 70 SEK for a fairly small( compare to other cafes) sandwich & a lousy late which makes this place one of the most overpriced cafes in the whole Stockholm!

The interior is warm and cozy in the winter, and despite the busy and fairly loud seating along Sankt Eriksgatan, it's a good spot to sit outside, considering. The Chai Tea Latte is massive but varies widely on taste (remember it fondly in the Winter, not so much in the Summer), and what's up with the 5kr refills for coffee? Jury is in on the Muffins: not worth it though they look like they will be. Overall, I still have a lot of love for this place and recommend it for the area. It's a good spot to work, a good spot for a conversation and it's open late.

Great address, friendly staff behind the counter. Prices are as in all other cafés in the city - around 80 SEK for a salad, around 40 SEK for any slice of pie or cake. But what do you get? The salad is a bit dry (they offer extra vinegrette in a bottle at the counter) and the chocolate cake is too (but vinegrette probably won't help that). Cream for your hot chocolate or chocolate cake comes from a can. Not very luxurious but the public has gotten used to it so I guess we have to settle for it. The hours are very generous (for being Stockholm) - they're even open till 10 pm on Sundays. However, well before 9:40 pm they picked everything off our table, shut down the music, turned up the lights and started just standing around to indicate that they really wanted us out of there. Minutes later they started moving tables and cleaning the floor. I'm of the opinion that if a place claims to be open until 10 pm, guest should be able to be there and feel welcome until 10 pm. If they want to clean out the place and go home by 10, they should say they're open for guests until 9:30. Now we left rather bummed out. If nothing else is open (which unfortunately is likely), I'd come back here.

The pain au chocolat was also excellent: crisp layers with just the right amount of dark chocolate. Coffee was smooth and rich, and refills on brewed coffee are free. The café has a relaxed vibe, and even though it was busy, the service was quick and friendly. Prices are a bit high, but worth it for the quality. Recommend if you're looking for a great coffee and pastry spot, convenient to city center. Outdoor seating if you're lucky enough to land a spot. Although the passageway where the interior seating is situated seemed awkward it actually worked out well. Service, despite a crowd, was fairly quick, I would rate the coffee an A or 9/10 on the scale of strength, low acidity/smoothness. It is espresso based and made to exact order. There are serval options for milk (whole, oat, 1/2 and 1/2, etc). The major complaint would be that there is no easy place to throw away your rubbish, nor is there a place that is clearly evident to bust your dishes, which is much needed given that this is a super busy place.. The staff is too busy to bus tables regularly, which backs up the availability of seating . This is the major reason for a one star deduction.. TIP: You can buy beans or ground coffee for home brewing.

So, when we got up and were ready to go, we headed to a cafe that came highly recommended. When we got there, 45 minutes after it was supposed to open, it was unfortunately closed. So, we ended up walking around the city, hoping to find another option for a good breakfast. We didn't find anything on our walk, so we jumped on a bus and looked around. We went by a place that looked like it had potential, so we stopped the bus and got off. We walked into Thelins Konditori and saw an amazing assortment of baked goods and sweets! I looked up on the menu board and was extremely excited to see Pannkaka! I ordered up a glass of hot chocolate and some pannkakor. Thelins is a very nice Konditori with a good atmosphere. It is clean and the employees are helpful. The restrooms are extremely dimly lit. The woman behind the counter gave us some small glasses of hot chocolate with whipped cream. The chocolate definitely was not hot... lukewarm at best. The whipped cream was great and the flavor was really good too. I would rank Thelins 9th place in my hot chocolate tour of Europe. The pancakes were excellent! There were 3 pancakes folded up in triangles and served with a cup of whipped cream and a cup of strawberries to top them off. The flavor and texture of the pancakes were great and I was very happy to finally have some Swedish pancakes. Thelins is extremely expensive, but that is pretty much a common theme in all of the restaurants and cafes in Stockholm.
