I was strolling through Stockhohlm looking for a place to grab lunch, and stumbled into a large open square with a farmer's market. Along the square was a stunning hotel and Greta's. It is a beautiful (but large) cafe with classic European outdoor seating and a modern vibe. I went to the entrance through the hotel and was seated on the patio. It took quite a long time for a server to take my order, but I settled on the daily salmon special and filtered tea. The tea is "do-it-yourself" at a little bar inside. Because I was traveling I took my whole bag with me to the tea counter (since you can't see the table on the patio from inside the restaurant, just being cautious!). When I came back to my seat, another couple had been sat there by the hostess. I was moved to the back of the patio which was a little disappointing, but I was enjoying my time none the less. However, because of the seating change, my meal was delivered to the wrong table. In addition, the server rang in two orders, not one. The runner delivering the food was clearly upset that I didn't want the two dishes. Logistically a bit tough, but the food is fantastic. The atmosphere is superb. Just needs a little fine tuning with the customer service.

Place is five stars , food for me not really. I ordered bruschetta and I didn't really like it :( I don't know, maybe it's just Asian taste that I have that is not suited with this kind of food. Staffs were friendly and helpful though. A bit upscale but still reasonable

This is like Breakfast at Tiffany's meets Sex and the City! Greta's is part of the beautiful Haymarket hotel, located on Stockholm's Market Square. The decor is what first grabs your attention, it's so pink and feminine that you can't help but soften a little when you walk inside. We were here in the late afternoon for tea and there was a lovely calm, relaxed vibe at this time- exactly what you want after a day of rambling Stockholm's busy streets. We didn't sample any of the food but I'll definitely be going back here if I'm ever back in Stockholm. It's the dream afternoon tea location!

Pretty nice relaxing place to have breakfast & a good chat! The music is very nice & the noise level is a lot lower compare to many other cafes in the city. On the other hand menu is very limited & breakfast is pretty pricey even though the portions are really small! The coffee is amazing & the staff are very friendly.

This was a beautiful place to have a salad and glass of wine. The music is classic and the decor is fabulous. You can sit inside or outside looking out onto the hotorget market. Fun fact they have lights in the shape of pineapples!! :-) I got the goats cheese salad and a glass of the Pinot, both delicious! Unfortunately they only serve salad here and breakfast/cafe snacks so not a great amount of variety. There is another restaurant Pauls which offers a wider range of food.

It was really nice and cosy there. The service was superb, a few power outlets here and there. It wasn't so overpriced. Both a cafe latte which tasted really nice.

Sometimes you just need somewhere to catch your breath, catch up, and plan for the rest of the day. Chokladkoppen did that for me. I had the Hot Chocolate and a cinnamon bun, and leisurely sat at my table for at least 30 minutes. There was never pressure to move on, which is so common, at least in the US ("Are you finished working on that? Can I bring you something else? Can I bring you a box?). The hot chocolate was dark, very much tasted like quality chocolate, and like a warm massage. I also ate one of their cinnamon buns, which are very popular in Stockholm. It also hit the spot. The cost of the hot chocolate was $6 USD and the cinnamon bun was a few cents less. The view from the table and people watching alone was worth the total $12 cost, but so was the hot chocolate and cinnamon bun.

Unfortunately, the broccoli soup I ordered was just not good, and my boyfriend got the chicken curry baked potato, only to receive a chicken salad potato. Perhaps a translation error, but it was not the best culinary experience.

The pain au chocolat was also excellent: crisp layers with just the right amount of dark chocolate. Coffee was smooth and rich, and refills on brewed coffee are free. The café has a relaxed vibe, and even though it was busy, the service was quick and friendly. Prices are a bit high, but worth it for the quality. Recommend if you're looking for a great coffee and pastry spot, convenient to city center. Outdoor seating if you're lucky enough to land a spot. If not, there's a nice park across the way, if you order take away.

Although the passageway where the interior seating is situated seemed awkward it actually worked out well. Service, despite a crowd, was fairly quick, I would rate the coffee an A or 9/10 on the scale of strength, low acidity/smoothness. It is espresso based and made to exact order. There are serval options for milk (whole, oat, 1/2 and 1/2, etc). The major complaint would be that there is no easy place to throw away your rubbish, nor is there a place that is clearly evident to bust your dishes, which is much needed given that this is a super busy place.. The staff is too busy to bus tables regularly, which backs up the availability of seating . This is the major reason for a one star deduction.. TIP: You can buy beans or ground coffee for home brewing.
