The café was pretty busy when I arrived--there were a lot of students studying and groups of friends chatting--but I was able to find a seat very easily. I ordered a prosciutto and mozzarella sandwich, a regular black coffee, and a black currant bun for dessert. My total came out to be about 145 krona. I was able to pay with my American bank card with no issues. The sandwiches are already constructed and sitting at the front of the café, but they freshly panini press them to order. There was a variety of delicious looking pastries at the front for takeaway as well as at the main counter for dine-in. The menu is in Swedish but the staff were fluent in English and seemed very happy to explain the offerings in English. They were super nice and patient with me. I wasn't entirely clear on whether they bring you your food or if you're meant to wait around for it, but I went back to the counter after finding a seat and my food was ready to be picked up at that point. My sandwich was really tasty and I enjoyed the black currant bun--I probably wouldn't get it again because I'd like to try the other baked goods and I think black currant ultimately isn't really for me as a matter of personal taste, but I appreciated that it was well made. I stayed at the café for about an hour and was not bothered during that time; this is definitely a good place to get some studying done, have a chat with friends, or have some time to yourself. The atmosphere was very clean and minimalist, with a bit of a hipster vibe. There were unisex bathrooms--small but clean and well supplied. Again, I wasn't sure if I was supposed to bus my own dishes but as I was getting ready to leave, one of the staff happened to pop in and cleared my table for me. The staff seemed to come through intermittently to clean up other tables throughout my stay. I really enjoyed eating here; if I were local, I could easily imagine this to be an ideal place to hang out regularly. It seemed to be popular with both locals and visitors. I ended up ordering a coffee, croissant and Swedish cinnamon bun, which totally doesn't look like a typical American cinnamon bun and was flat, wavy and curly, almost looking like a Danish but like square-ish. There was a nice, relaxing relaxing vibe with a lot of minimalistic and modern design elements. We sat at a moderately large table and ate, drank our coffees and chatted in peace. If you're in town, I definitely recommend stopping by this cafe when you're in town! It wasn't too busy either!

All of them except this one. Food taste like when I am in French countryside, but nicely presented as Swedish standards dictates. Drinks are OK (I would have loved to have teas like mariage or betjeman). But even if the food is good, this is not why I think this place is amazing. It is because I think that they achieved to mix something utterly difficult: making French and Swedish cultures cohabitate but not mix. Taking the strong and pleasant aspect of each, at least from my French point of view, and letting them shine. The place is small, and the decoration not bragging its origin, so what I am describing will be much more found in details and behavior of the service. In one sentence, they are comforting because they know that they are doing a great job, with passion, and take pride of it without the need to play a role or brag about it. And they are caring. The interior decor is nice and the whole place has a quaint hip neighborhood feel to it. The staff was also lovely and helpful here! I adored the chicken, mayo and egg baguette that I ordered. Their other options included more sandwiches, soups, and salads. The soup that I saw ordered by a pal looked quite delightful and filling as well. The price I paid for lunch was also wonderful at 65:-. I have to wonder what the going rate for a subway sandwich is these days, because my baguette was a million times more delightful and also an economical sandwich style lunch option. I would definitely consider this place if your in the area. TIP- If you like the cups here you can buy them at the store next door. The owner's wife is the ceramist and makes them all. They are quite pricey, but absolutely beautiful!

They do have a selection of salads and pasta salads (although the pasta comes from homophobic company Barilla) and the ones I've tried are good. I came in on a Friday night and had terrific service and very friendly customers who welcomed me as I was the only American at the bar. I enjoyed four rounds of drinks, three Swedish Craft Beers and a French Aged Cider. The staff were very happy to share their best selection with me! They offer small palates, appetizers, and gourmet meats and cheeses to pair with their extensive Beer, Wine, and Cocktail lists. If you are an explorer and like to venture out to new venues like me, this place was more local and a typical Swedish hangout for the younger crowd. One disclaimer that didn't make this a perfect experience, there was a terrible stink/ sewage problem the night I was in.. Not sure if it was with their piping or back of house but it was quite fowl. I'm sure this was a one night problem but it got in the way of catching the aromas of both the cider and beer! A weird thing to mention but it was the laugh of the bar that night.
