After the owner of the plumbing company came out and fixed what he needed to quickly and at a very reasonable price the worker from Arid came out to view the final phase of my problem. Patrick (the owner) gave me an appointment for his workers to install a sump pump. The first pictures are of the check valve portion of the project. The second picture is an extension installed by Mazzone to my check valve two feet below my basement floor. The third set of pictures are from the completed job by Arid. The workers from Arid were very polite and worked quickly and very effectively with a great deal of carefulness for my home and living spaces. I completely recommend both these companies for any waterproofing projects you may find that you need.

I had water damage to one of my room upstairs due to a radiator leak. I wasn't sure if we needed to do just the 1 room or the whole upstairs since the wood is all connected. When I had spoken to him on the phone he said there may be a slightly different color if we do just the one room. So before he came out, I asked if he can get us both quotes. He came out when I wasn't home but my wife was. He didn't measure anything. Look at the room where the damage was and left. He didn't look at the rest of the upstairs. I didn't get a message for him so I texted him. He gave me a quote for the one room. I asked, do you have a quote for how much it would be for the whole upstairs. He said he didn't look at the other room upstairs. I described the size of the other room upstairs and he texted back with a quote. I asked if you can send me in writing the 2 quotes. He said he has to charge me $150 for the quotes. Then I said, "What? Why?" He never responded. Just in case he didn't see it, I text him again the next day. He didn't respond again. Extremely disappointed with him and his lack of response.

The only issue is that he is oversubscribed and busy with many other projects. But he was accommodating and continued to work until late at night (with a 7 am start) even on Sundays... including New Year's Eve. His pricing is great. I had some quotes that were 2x what he quoted. I have been telling all my friends about JG.

I was confused by her question and asked what did she mean. She said "we offer a spring clean up with weekly maintenance." I told her we were thinking of monthly maintenance after the first service to see if we were satisfied. She cut me off and said very sternly "no, that's not how it works. We come weekly." I explained to her that it's my yard, first off, and it's a 7 x 10ft patch of grass behind a townhouse, we don't need someone weekly. She said "well that's not how we do things." This is my house and I dictate how it works, she then accused ME of being nasty! Her job was customer service, she should not be talking to ppl like that or telling them what they need at their home. She hadn't even seen the property and probably never would as she just answers phones and I'm sure is not mowing lawns or raking leaves. Last thing I needed at 9:30am, great way to start the day. Definitely would not recommend based on the attitude I received over the phone, I would not give them my money.

However, after only about 15 minutes of inspecting the entire house, he concluded there was nothing to worry about. About a month later, a contractor had to remove all of the floors due to significant sagging and install new joists because of damaged joists in the basement. In addition, there was water entering the basement due to improper grading -- something that was also never mentioned in the inspection. As a new homeowner, I relied on this inspection to identify major issues. This is my personal experience, others may have had a better one.
