Thank you for acknowledging my review and how I was feeling that meant a lot, truly. Service is always spectacular, and the vibe is always on point. There's a reason there's often a line out the door. Also... the mocha cappuccino ice cream? Absolutely unbeatable. Creamy, bold, and just the right hit of coffee and chocolate. It's easily one of my favorite treats in Old Town La Quinta. Looking forward to coming back again soon!

Came on a Friday night. I thought it would be a little busy but it wasn't So many ice creams to choose from, they also have drinks, and little popsicles. I got the banana and lavender which was actually pretty good. I didn't like the big chucks of lavender in it. The only part that I didn't like was as the cashier was really rude. I was asking her questions because it was my first time there and she was just drawing on her little notepad. But all it all it was pretty decent. Seating inside and out.

Checked this place out during Coachella weekend. It was pretty busy right before closing. We didn't have to wait a little for our order but not too long. They had tables inside for seating and very limited outdoor seating. The ice cream was as expected and satisfied my cravings but nothing special.

This boutique ice cream place in a really nice restaurant shopping area that had the hanging lights everywhere. Kind of place you relax at after dinner. They offer great options like date ice cream, and pistachio vanilla. I'm a sucker for anything with dates in it, so I love it when an ice cream place offers that. Really cute inside the staff were wonderful.

Loved this place. Kids had the banana lavender and the salted caramel. Lots of seating, no restroom, and quick service. I was so happily surprised to see $.25 toppings. I don't know the last time I saw a price like that!

We stumbled upon this place while strolling along Old Town Quinta. Kids wanted some ice cream to cool down in the heat. Jenny greeted us as we enter the business. So many options to choose from menu. My daughter picked simple flavor as vanilla with sprinkles on top and my son had the watermelon sorbet. So delicious! Prices were really reasonable. All fresh ingredients made for your enjoyment. We were able to see the process of ice cream being made. Very intriguing! Next door you were able to sit down in the ac to enjoy your ice cream. Really calm and quiet area. Will definitely return if I'm in the area.

I really love the pistachio with olive oil flavor. It's better than normal ice cream. It's not overly heavy pistachio tasting-- almost more sweet cream. The texture is light but compacted. Imagine ice cream cake but much lighter. The ladies who helped us were very nice and described the method upon us entering. There's seating inside and outside to accommodate different sized parties. I love ice cream always, but I dunno, I really liked and appreciated this flavor and the way it was made had to be the reason why I liked it so much. Would definitely go again!

Strawberry cheesecake ice cream (no syrup or strawberries per my request)

A fun cold treat during the hot desert months. I don't have a big sweet tooth but even this ice cream caught my attention and was a must try while in downtown La Quinta. The concept is fun and the ice cream is definitely tasty. Located in downtown La Quinta it's not hard to find this spot. There is usually plenty of parking behind the shops if the primary lot in the front is full. Walkable from any of the restaurants really if you are craving dessert. The ice cream here is unique as it's made fresh before you and the flavors are creative and fun. My friend had lavender banana ice cream and I indulged in the strawberry cheesecake flavor. We both agreed they were tasty and a 5/5. Creamy yet not too heavy. One to two scoops is definitely enough though. The waffle cones also tasted fresh. Only docked a star as the ice cream parlor itself is kind of small and during the summer it gets packed. A little stuffy if you are inside and only enough space to have one group eat inside. Otherwise really everyone has to go outside which during the summer months can be brutal and the ice cream will melt fast. At least though they do provide a few tables and chairs outside so you don't have to necessarily take it to go. Also I wish they mixed in the add ons that come with some of the ice cream. They top the ice cream with add one which makes it hard to eat and messy. For example, my strawberry cheesecake ice cream was supposed to come with sliced strawberries and a syrup but with a cone and being outside in the sun I knew there would be lots of spillage. Not ideal so I had to opt to remove those toppings. If they could mix it in that would surely be an upgrade. Otherwise the ice cream flavors are good enough on their own that you'll be happy but definitely wish I could have tried the few flavors that come with toppings more conveniently.

Nitroinfisions is a cute ice cream shop in Old Town. Given the ambiance, location, and quality, I'd definitely come back if I were visiting the area again. I really enjoyed my pumpkin scoop, as my friend liked the strawberry cheesecake flavor he tried out. The ice cream was nice and smooth, but also fluffy/airy (not super creamy like Creamistry, for example). The flavor of the ice cream was pleasant but not very strong. Also, the price was pretty reasonable (not a huge surcharge for the "show" or the made-to-order aspect). I think the toppings list could be made more clear and some more clever combos could be made available. When we came on a Sunday afternoon, only one person was working both the cash register and the ice cream making, so it took a while to get our scoops. read more

First off the ice cream tasted so fresh, creamy, and 'REAL' (not too sweet). It's all organic made with real ingredients. I appreciated the sign about allergies as we do have a food allergic kiddo. The staff was great, explaining all about the steps, while allowing me to film. Definitely make a stop here while visiting Old town La Quinta. read more

Not the worst. BUT if you ever visited this place when Juan was there you KNOW the quality of ice cream and service has gone waaaay down since he left. Texture of the ice cream, and even the flavor has changed for the worst! So sad to see our favorite ice cream-ever- change. We have tried Nitroinfusions 3 times since the change and it just keeps getting worse- Vanilla is now bland, ice cream is half melted when you get it & not as creamy, and the staff has lost its charm. Super bummed, but we probably will try to find a new favorite dessert spot :( read more

Great spot with quality ingredients. My kids enjoyed their treats and the cool nitro process to make the ice cream. They had several kid friendly options with all types of different flavors. Will visit again next time I'm in the Palm Springs area. read more

This is the 2nd or 3rd time I've been here and I just HAD to come back before I moved away. This place has such great ice cream--- you can watch them do the nitro infusion through a glass window. And the staff is so nice to explain how it all works! Let me tell you... these ice creams are SO. CREAMY. it's almost unreal how creamy it is. I ordered the salted Carmel ice cream. I love that the salt flakes are so large and they really do make a difference. My boyfriend ordered the strawberry cheesecake and says it's "very creamy, sweet, and the extras strawberries on top added good flavor" I definitely recommend this place! Such a great treat especially in the desert heat. read more

The staff looked like high school or college-aged kids, but they were the sweetest. It was cold and breezy, but they were still busy and for good reason. The gentleman who took my order recommended the Banana Lavender over the Strawberry, and I'm glad I took his advice. I am not generally a fan of floral flavors, but this was a lovely surprise. read more

What a fun place to stop in Old Town La Quinta! We ate dinner nearby and decided to walk around Old Town. Not much to see, but we hadn't been here so decided to see what the various stores/ eateries were. We stopped in for dessert at Nitroinfusions. It was fascinating on how they make the desserts! With nitrogen!!! I ended up with a small scoop of mint chip with fudge on top since I only wanted a taste, and my husband ordered the strawberry shortcake special. Delicious. Yes it's a bit on the pricey side, but good to check out if you're in Old Town and in La Quinta. read more

This place is amazing!!!! They truly go above and beyond for customer service!! I'm here often and I was talking with the manger and I asked him if they ever have passion fruit bars. He said he had a recipe but hasn't made them yet. I mentioned how they are my favorite and he said he would try and get passion fruit and make them. A lot of places say that and do nothing, but he really did it!!! I was there today and he had the passion fruit bars made!!!!! I was surprised and shocked and excited all at once!!!! This man went out of his way to get passion fruit (not an easy item to find in a grocery store) and made the bars!!!!!!! And he did an excellent job!!!! I could really taste the passion fruit!!!! It was delicious!!! I got two!!! The first one I got plain and the second one I got covered in chocolate!!! This is officially my favorite ice cream place and it really does have the best people working here!!! read more

Location: inside old town La Quinta, turn into main street where you see One West Bank. It's in the corner next to Homec jewelry and across from the optometry. Parking may be difficult to find. There's a few free street/parallel parking spots directly in front of the store. There are a couple small lots further down the street to the right as well as to the left. The concept of this place is very unique and interesting. If you've never heard of Subzero, they basically freeze your ice cream (Subzero also has froyo). Everything is made to order. The cream is made frozen with liquid nitrogen - it is interesting to watch them make it! Other interesting facts about them.. Their ice cream is made from organic products and they try to use ingredients grown and produced locally. For example, the olive oil drizzle over my ice cream was purchased from the Olive Oil Company just down the street! They are also advertising crepes, but not as much as the ice cream now, seeing as they've only been open for less than a month. Maybe I'll be back to try that out. The servers were very cool. They were patient about explaining the process and their flavors. Waffle cones were 50 cents extra. Small was $4 (one scoop), medium was $5 (one and half scoop), large was $6 (two scoops), and extra large was $8. Since I wanted to share with my bf, we got a large. They were able to fit 2 different flavors in there for us. I had the chocolate espresso, which came with a chocolate fudge drizzle on top. I thought I tasted espresso at first, but it was quickly lost and overpowered by the chocolate flavor. My bf had the pistachio, which was a vanilla ice cream base with pistachio toppings and olive oil drizzle! They both tasted really good. The ice cream looked chunky right after it came out of the mixing bowl, but it was very creamy. I think it melts faster than normally though. Definitely give this place a try! The price is worth it if you've never experienced liquid nitrogen freezing ice cream before. You're paying more for the novel idea. I think most ice cream places have similar prices (Cold Stone, Baskin Robins, etc), but here they have smaller serving sizes. read more

Had ice cream from here last night. I ordered the peanut butter with chocolate sauce. It was decent, but not my favorite spot for ice cream. Line was longish but not ridiculous. Once we ordered the ice cream came quickly. It's definitely a neat process but the menu is a little hard to understand. They also have pops we noticed after we had ordered and were waiting for our ice cream. Might have wanted to try those but those weren't laid out clearly on the menu. The science is fun and exciting for the kids but we probably will try something else if you are looking for taste. read more

I largely lifted this review from Craig K, because it's how I felt. If you love ice cream you'll love this place. If you love all natural ingredients you'll love this place. If you love salted caramel ice cream (my favorite!) you'll love this place. And if you love putting the ice cream on top of a homemade brownie, you'll really love this place!!! It has become a family favorite anytime we're in old town La Quinta. My girls were fascinated by the nitroinfusion aspect, which is a gimmick (sorta), it's interesting to see. Very rude people. They do not make your milk shakes the way you want . When you get it it's chocolate milk. No solid ice cream. Just milk. It was awful and expensive and the people were very rude. Not one smile, no greetings as people came in. No thank you and good bye. Never go here again . Terrible place...... read more

Wow! Yummy! I got the Sugar & Dairy Free Mango Sorbet...it was really yummy but I Kinda wished I got the organic Homemade Ice Cream...ok, next time! Can't wait! Hubby got Salted Caramel Ice Cream! I snuck a lil bite... So yummy! It seems like Everything is Organic...and they freeze it & mix it right then & there...in front of you using liquid nitrogen...hence the Business name...Fun! Oh baby that SALTED CARAMEL. I had a split salted caramel and raspberry delight. It was terrific! Definitely lived up to the hype. Both flavors were well done but I will admit that the salted caramel was my fav. Can't beat the salty and sweet! As an added bonus, the staff here are very quick! Do not let a line intimidate you. Get here if you can! read more

Cool ice cream process, great employees that are very helpful explaining their favorite flavors which, finally, are interesting! I loved the pistachio/olive oil combo. Great way to cool off from this desert heat to enjoy the night light show Downtown La Quinta have to offer. This ice cream shop stands out from major chain competitor from their attention to quality and their unique ice cream favors like Banana Lavender with coconut shavings. Or, one of their warm fluffy brownie top with a ice cold scoop ice cream sundae. A great dessert option after dinning from one of the numerous restaurants that surrounds the shop. read more

Nitrogen infused, freshly made to order ice cream is officially the new froyo, with spots popping up from Los Angeles to here in La Quinta. I've had a mixed bag with the fad ice cream thus far, with great experiences (Smitty's), good experiences (Creams & Dreams) and 'meh' experiences here at Nitroinfusions. In short, while there are some benefits and the concept is cool, nitro infused ice cream really just doesn't do it for me like my favorites (Rori's, Salt & Straw, and Van Leeuwen's) back in Los Angeles and elsewhere do. Star 1: How were the service and atmosphere? The service is a bit slow at Nitroinfusions given the concept, but the folks are friendly and the atmosphere a good one. Star Granted. Star 2: How were the portions relative to the cost? Other nitrogen infused ice cream shops are trying to get away with what is essentially price gouging given the fad, but Nitroinfusions keeps things reasonable by charging only $5.00 for a scoop of fresh made ice cream served in a cone. That's fair. Star Granted. Stars 3 and 4: How was the food? While priced reasonably, my ice cream was just okay. I ordered Caramel and Sea Salt, and maybe should have paid slightly closer attention, because I didn't realize that this was just vanilla ice cream with some caramel sauce and a bit of salt on top. Either way, it was okay, but it didn't have that unique creaminess that I've found with other nitro infused ice creams, and the flavor was just okay. No Stars Granted. Star 5: Would you eat here every day if you could? There's good ice cream all over Southern California, and Nitroinfusions didn't quite leave me with any impression other than 'meh'. No Star Granted. read more

The raspberry delight was pretty pleasant. The vanilla ice cream wasn't sweet at all and it was very creamy. It didn't over power the rest of the flavors and it created a nice platform. The sauce was quite surprising. It gathered all the flavors together and it complemented them all. The strawberry cheesecake was pretty cheesy. I took a bite and automatically imagined a frozen piece of cheesecake. read more

I'm only giving this 4 stars as encouragement and support during Covid. Any other situation I'd say the flavor for the price deserves max 3 stars. The outside sitting area is the best thing about this place. This would be great for tourist looking for a chill spot to walk around and get some ice cream. read more

Looks like a mom and pop nitro ice cream shop. The ice cream was some of best I've had in this type of establishment. We had mint n chip, vanilla with raspberry sauce and mocha flavored. All good. They also have affogatto, but it was 6 so I couldn't try it, but the lady in front of me got it and it smelled so tasty. read more

Ice cream cooled with liquid nitrogen? Sounds like a fun high school physics experiment! The result is pretty good! The staff is friendly and explained the process. It is quite a show watching the liquid nitrogen being dispensed and added to the ice cream. Kids and kids at heart will love watching it being made. I feel that it is a great price given the amount of work going into each scoop! read more

This might be some of the best ice cream I've had! I've been here the last couple of times I've been in the desert. Both times I have had the mint chocolate chip because it is my favorite ice cream flavor, and this one is awesome! I have also tried the salted caramel and the peanut butter, and they are also delicious. The staff is friendly and my kids love seeing them make the ice cream. This place is great, and definitely worth checking out! read more

There was one person taking orders and two making them. I think they should do something different because many times the 2 making the orders were not doing anything. The line kept getting bigger.

There is an option to preorder your meal or order on the kiosk located inside. The amount of customers comes and goes. Most people grab coffee to go here. We came late afternoon and my daughter wanted a snack. We walked in and pursued the various bites. Limited food items but you can order fresh sandwiches and flatbread pizza. There is a cute little gelato area for $6 a scoop. As we walked around the refrigerated items, we came across some cold cuts and my daughter opted for a charcuterie sampler for $22. It was a nice sided portion vs the prepackaged items. There was salami, prosciutto, dried fruit, nuts, and a jam. We shared the sampler and it was enough to tie the 5 of us over for a couple hours for dinner. You cannot miss the marketplace. It is to the right of the check in area and near the Mexican outdoor seating. Plenty of seats available outdoors and al Fresca.

NitroInfusions makes for a fun interactive ice cream destination experience. You'll have to be a little patient, but the ice cream product is craft made, with real flash nitrogen cooled cream that is smooth & flavorful beyond all compare! Sebastian and Nancy are amazing and passionate owners and are focused on the customer experience. I can't go here as much as I want, but when I do it's always Mint Chip. This ice cream is amazing! Ice cream is not one of my favorite things so for me to love an ice cream, that is really saying something. I had the raspberry delight. It's vanilla ice cream with a fresh raspberry sauce. It tastes so much better than store bought ice cream; it's creamy and not too sweet. I don't know if it's the fresh ingredients or that it's made with liquid nitrogen, but it was delicious. It's also fun to watch them make the ice cream with the liquid nitrogen. Third year that i come back and it's the same great ice cream and service, flavor is as good as the first time, they are open during all this mayhem of year and even in the middle of a pandemic they give a great service and make you feel welcome, something I really appreciate. This is like Melvin's or trying a trendy bar...you have to go at least once. Trendy and eclectic....one of those food show kinda places...molecular gastronomy ice cream. It's fun for the kids and maybe a cool day date, but not necessarily a place I will frequent. Nice little place located in La Quinta, they make your ice cream right in front of you with liquid nitrogen. Flavors go from classics like mint chip to some bizarre ones like banana lavender, the employees are very helpful and walk you through. I highly recommend this place if you like great ice cream and science!!!! read more
