I had asked the staff what his opinions were on the specific sushi's and I was impressed to hear him naming all what was in the sushis. I think I ended up at the Superman Maki which was quite filling for me. My friend ordered the Kalbi-Chicken Bento and my favorite thing that I tried from her Bento was their Mochiko Chicken. The crisp, flavor and texture were all good. I'd probably go back just for the Mochiko chicken next time. It was awfully quiet in there. No background music. This was a nice little hole in the wall sushi place. It's in a quiet and convenient shopping center with a few other restaurants around it. We selected it for lunch after perusing the other restaurants menus. Simple plate lunch was affordable and there was plenty of food. The staff was very friendly. I'm sure we will be back! read more

Stopped in for lunch and was able to immediately order up at the front. Service was super fast which was perfect because I had a bus to catch. Found the prices to be very reasonable, ordered three different rolls; California, tiger, and tornado. All were delicious and I gobbled them down as quickly as they arrived. Would definitely stop by again for my sushi cravings. It's located in a strip mall with shared parking for all businesses, located next to a Mexican restaurant, grocery store, and several other businesses. Ordered Uber eats and didn't realize the food was coming from this location. I live in Aiea and thought it would be from the location in Aiea. Go figure. I had to look up which location it came from because it was terrible and we have never had terrible food from the Aiea location. The rice was soaked with the poke sauce, probably because it was so flaky and dry, they had to load it up with sauce. Couldn't even pick it up with my chopsticks. Speaking of chopsticks, they gave us no utensils, nor did they give shoyu or wasabi. The ahi on the nigiri was spoiled! I took one bite and quickly spit it out. It was nasty. The rice tasted terrible too (had a soap taste). The poke was decent but not the freshest fish. At least it wasn't spoiled like the nigiri one. Nothing in this bento tasted fresh. Do better, Kaneohe Ninja! UPDATE: 4 hours after eating his tekka maki, my son got food poisoning and threw up everything. I will be contacting the restaurant. read more

The mall location served us sloppy hand rolls with ripped sushi wraps. The inside was empty, so it's nice to not be in crowds and it was tidy and the tables were clean. Yummmmm when hungry for some quick sushi on the go.. although you can dine in.... I ordered a unagi Bento $10.99 not bad for some sushi as sushi is not a cheap food to eat. My Bento was definitely fresh and delicious. The fat cells are definitely happy and satisfied my sushi craving. The wasabi was that hot rather mild the ginger was yummm if you like that stuff- which I do The place is very clean, dine in tables were cleaned and ready for someone to sit and get their feast on!! They have great customer service too Can't say nothing about the restrooms as I didn't visit that... My 4 rating is although the service and happy fat cells did the dance, I have a bias opinion for I have a definite must eat sushi place ... by far still the the best and fresh sushi.... also I like wasabi and bit more hot would have.... This location is in temple valley shopping center- right across from the graveyard. I watched people come in that thought they placed a take out order here but actually called the Windward mall location. Please be careful. Don't want to waste any businesses time and food during this pandemic. They are doing distanced dine in and you have to wear a mask. No temperature check. Still the same good food. Not sure why the rating for this place is so low- the food was really good! We got the nigiri 3-piece of garlic hamachi, garlic salmon, and spicy ahi. Delish! Also got the sunset roll & chirashi bowl. The garlic hamachi & salmon were both seared, and had nice sauce. Actually, all of them had good sauce. I love being back home in Hawaii! I swear sushi is half the cost of the mainland and twice the quality. Even though they were a little light on the spicy ahi inside my Superman roll this time, I still recommend this place to everyone. Superman roll has ahi on the top and is smothered in a delicious sauce. They are quick here and the food is always delicious. Its a nice store in a shopping center located across from the Byodo Inn Temple that always has tons of parking. I used to go to the Ninja Sushi in front of Don Quixote when it was still in Kailua, but it's nice that they opened one right across from my family home. read more

When we walked in the entire place was empty and smelled like paint. The floor was extremely dirty, splatter stains everywhere and just looked like dirt had been piling on their floors for a long time. It was so dirty inside that we were grossed out before we even got our food. The man at the counter was not welcoming at all and did not speak to us. First impressions mean a lot and this wasn't a good one, it made us hesitant to even taste the sushi. When we did, the sushi was actually okay.. Yes, this place is expensive, but where else can you find a sushi spot so convenient in Kaneohe? I usually go for their tako yaki, and even though I'm half convinced that it's frozen, I still buy it anyway. I'm a tako yaki fanatic and it's hard for me to even find a place on Oahu that sells it. (Beggers can't be choosers, right?) In addition to tako yaki, I try to order a sushi that's a little bit cheaper on the menu, and that normally ends up being futo/inari maki. If I remember correctly, the tako yaki was about $6 ($1/ball), the futo/inari was $4, and the hubby had a spicy ahi salad, about $9. Total, my bill came out to about $20, or in my terms, almost 3 curry houses. (I compare everything I eat to a curry house plate). This is why I only come here once in a blue moon - just to satisfy my sushi craving. read more
