Who cooks and then serves a customer raw pork skewers? I should have Gordon Ramsay'd that plate and screamed, "It's raw" *Smash!* The worst part is I am pregnant and my husband and I both took a bite and swallowed it. I am regular most likely never going here anymore after seeing how their "chefs" are. When we complained to the server, who is young, she was speechless and proceeded to basically run away from my table immediately to find another person to attend to the issue without saying anything. That person said they were the manager, which apparently he was not, proceeded to give excuses like it was our fault because we ordered sauce on the side and provided little in apologies. It was a negative experience from their attempt at guest recovery of initially being blamed by this person then me needing to stand up for ourselves before they woke. First came excuses like they cook it better with it drizzled, then finally when I said sternly "this is not my fault, I did not serve myself raw pork, you did. Do you guys have a food certified manager? They then proceeded to find the certificate to show me, and then finally had that person apologize. Apparently, they found someone who knows the industry when I asked for their food manager cert. Then they kept apologizing every contact from then on. It was awkward. For their food establishment to be serving raw pork is dangerous. It was not medium. it was raw. How can you serve it raw? Pork is easy to cook well. You are better off slightly overcooking it and it would still taste great. We got our Ramen after as usual and made sure to drink the hot soup asap to hopefully cook that piece of meat in our stomach. We shall see. The sad part is they still proceeded to charge me full price for my ramens and gave me my receipt without the skewers showing. What if we got sick? I had to insist myself to take a photo of their POS to show the order indeed did have the skewers voided. I recommend they hire better cooks. If the only thing they know how to do is scoop soup over noodles and top it, they should reconsider them. People could get very sick from undercooked pork, let alone raw. Please, if you have been cooking your skewers this way you need to stop now. read more

RAMEN. Yumm. Cravings do win sometimes and that lead me to Ninja Ramen!! Upon entering, we were greeted by a staff member and lead to our table--the decor is perfect in my opinion. Subtly Japanese with its characters and posters making for a good atmosphere to eat in. Our party ordered various ramens and some asked for the spicy paste on the side and they nailed it. Ramen noodles were chewy, broth was flavorful with miso, pork, etc. I wish there were more toppings, but considering the ramen is on the cheaper side--it's understandable! I just didn't feel full after a bowl of ramen compared to other ramen places, so if you have a large appetite...I recommend ordering an appetizer alongside your meal. I ordered a Thai Tea Boba and the boba was perfectly chewy, better than some of the boba places that specialize in the stuff! Bathrooms were clean and the tables weren't sticky even with how many people were coming in and leaving. Overall, it was amazing in some areas but just isn't enough for me to go out of the way and come here more often after a 30 minute drive. 3.5 stars read more

They offer various flavors of Ramen, which is different than a typical Japanese Ramen restaurant. We ordered Seafood Ramen and the flavor was great with clams, scallops and shrimps. The soup base was not very salty. The table next to us has two young men doing the Spicy Ramen Challenge. They both finished the bowls within 10 minutes with very sweaty faces. I enjoyed the smoky taste of the shredded squid on top. The appetizer was $5, so a $1 a ball. I like dry ramen, so I ordered the spicy mazeman. I want to say great things about this dish, but I can't. There was no flavor and a little bit of heat. I had to sprinkle salt on it and it did nothing to enhance the flavor. As an avid ramen lover, I'm excited that ramen has come to Arlington! My expectations were pretty high given the prices ($12 for a tsukemen and $8 - $9 for a regular ramen like shoyu). Got to say, I was really disappointed in this place. You could really tell that this ramen doesn't garner the price you pay if you've been to some other stellar ramen places. The Ramen I ordered the shoyu ramen was just plain not enjoyable. the noodles themselves lacked a bit of substance and reminded me of something I would make quickly at home. The broth was obviously not stewed for many hours like in some other locations. It lacked that hearty richness from stewing in pork bones for many hours. The chasu itself was not succulent like it should be, just a regular piece of pork that wasn't too inspiring to eat. Lastly, the ajitama egg didn't have that delicious explosion of soy sauce flavor I know and love. In summation, the ramen wasn't great. We also ordered a mochi and it had a weird outer shell consistency. Was like the shell was slapped on and could've been peeled off easily. Really weird. I'm really glad Arlington is getting gentrified. Lots of awesome ethnic food is coming in town, but this place wasn't worth the high cost. She happily greeted us and tailored her recommendations to our taste. While everything on the menu sounded delicious, it was refreshing to have a server so well versed in their dishes that they are able to recommend food accordingly. For example, I love all things fried so Ivy recommended their fries and Oyaku Don (I forgot to take a photo of the Oyaku Don) which I thoroughly enjoyed! First impressions matter. Overall, the place is good, I'd come back with friends but it's the kind of place I'd go to only if I was on my way somewhere and this happened to be along the way. The restaurant is clean and the servers are nice. Thanh waited on me, he was attentive and polite. I usually order the tonkotsu ramen at any ramen joint the first time - it's pretty basic so it kinda tells me a lot about how they'll handle the rest of the food available. Also because pork bone broth is essentially the backbone of the menu. Overall, it's solid ramen but not amazing. The broth is greasy, but tasty. You'll wanna have a glass of water and napkin handy to clean your mouth with. The noodles are good, a little on the softer side (I like mine more chewy) and the shrooms, bean sprouts are decent. I was disappointed that the marinated egg came out on the cold side, but dunking it in the broth for a few minutes remedied this. The chashu was quite good! All it needed was a bit of grilling and I think it would have been great. Like I said, not a bad place for ramen, definitely on the tolerable side and worth going back with friends.
