I was greeted by the hostess outside and although the patio looks lovely it was 96* and I opted for inside (I do not live in MN for the heat!). There are lots of fun photos on the wall and soccer team banners hanging from the ceiling. After being seated I was immediately given water and silverware and looked over the menu. There is a good cocktail, wine, and beer menu with Guinness, of course, and several Irish whiskeys. My server, Bill, was a delight. We talked about our dogs (mini dachshund for me, Malinois for him) and our shared love of Costa Rica. I ended up ordering the French Onion soup and a Lobster Roll with fries. The soup came out first and it was just as sumptuous and beefy as I hoped. The melted Gruyère and caramelized onions made a hearty starter. The Lobster Roll was perfect: chopped lobster on a warm, buttered, toasted roll topped with slivers of pickled carrots. The lobster was chilled and didn't need any dressing at all. The fries were plentiful, thin, and perfectly crispy yet still tender inside. A home run. Excellent food, warm and welcoming atmosphere, and terrific staff made it a delightful lunch. Thanks, Bill! ;)

My go-to dinner is always the fish and chips. It's so good! The one thing that is inconsistent is the service - all the staff is super nice, but not always the fastest. Some visits have had very long waits while others have been quick. I try to be aware of how busy it gets, but on the slower visits I will sometimes watch parties that are seated after us get their food before us. Making a reservation was super easy and the inside ambiance is so intimate. I came for a date night, but I could totally see a really fun girls night out here. I read some reviews before ordering and the reviews for food recs were spot on! The Parker Rolls were so delicious - a pretzel roll with 3 creamy butter options. And there was plenty of butter so you don't run out of it before you finish your rolls (big win!). I got the sweet corn cavatelli and my hubs got the lamb shoulder. Both were really yummy. I love that the cavatelli has a little spice to it as it really elevated that flavor profile. Definitely will be back! Really loved the experience and will stop by for post-dinner drinks sometime :)

I was pleasantly surprised at the unique menu though, definitely more up scale and worth the try. I will start with the biggest complaint and its one I have with so many area restaurants - the wine. They have what is likely the worst selection of wine. Its nice they feature bottles you don't normally see but they are all 3.8 or lower rated - many sub $20. For a place with this much potential the wine list should match the food or it all falls flat. We were kicking ourselves for not bringing our own, its really the only way with 99% of places. I was truly surprised at how horrible the selection was. Also, how many times must a place understand that wine should be chilled. Nothing worse than a warm Pinot. If you can't afford a simple chiller you shouldn't pretend you are striving to be something you are not. Cocktails were a nice surprise though. Unique and tasty. Also they had a couple beers on tap and at least not all were IPAs which is another mistake so many places make. Some interesting apps that were good. You could make a whole meal out of sharing apps. Wish we had. I had the stake frites and it was fatty and gross. Not at all as the pictures show. Probably 60% of the meat was inedible. The fries were good. Nobody finished their meal though I didn't hear super hard complaints. Just meh. I tasted a couple of the pastas and all seemed to fall a bit flat. I was left wishing I'd gotten that lobster roll but thinking it too would have not matched the photo. We might go back. We will bring our own wine.

Our service was great and our waitress was really knowledgeable. I really enjoyed all of the food we got but was disappointed in the size/amount of pieces in the king grab sushi roll for $28. Two of the pieces fell apart almost instantly after being picked up with chopsticks and the pieces of crab on the side were tiny! The rolls were good but for the price and amount of crab on the roll I couldn't justify ordering it again. The corn esquites side dish was incredible and I even ordered one to go for my husband to try! I would come back for this dish alone. The crispy rice and spicy tuna was tasty as well. Overall it's a gorgeous spot with good food and drinks but pretty expensive for portion sizes.

They have a more of a bar food menu for HH but you can only order at the bar. We were able to slide in an order of fries. The space is nice but the menu was maybe too far out of my taste range (as a picky eater). They have a bit of a Japanese-Mexican fusion which is interesting. There used to be a place with this concept off of 394 by ridgedale mall (now it's an olive garden) but I wondered if this was the same place however this place is more upscale.

The lobster gnocchi is perfect as it isn't overly sauced and lets the lobster and gnocchi shine together. Fortunately for us, MN decided to have a 90-degree day in October, so we were able to sit outside. The outside patio was nice, but the vibe was definitely a lot calmer than inside (if you want the full game-day experience you should try to sit inside). I ordered the Bloody Mary of the month, "Road Trip," my son had the kids' pancakes with bacon, and my friend ordered a salad. The Bloody Mary of the month was definitely a site to see, it had a slice of pizza (not my favorite but my son enjoyed it), a Philly cheesesteak burger (it was decent), friend shrimp (perfectly breaded and delicious), some type of bbq'd pork (we were all unable to eat it as it was so tough), a chicken tender the size of my hand (my son and friend devoured it), cheese curds (they weren't like the ones you can get at the state fair as they were a yellow cheese and didn't have much flavor, but when you dipped them in the sauce that was attached to the cup they were pretty good), and crab cakes (we thought they were okay). The Bloody Mary of the month had enough food on it that I didn't need to order anything else. The vibe is really lively and fun on a football Sunday. When the Vikings score they hand out free grape ape shots. I would definitely recommend spending your football Sunday here.

This would be an impressive date spot, or just a place to gather for drinks, as well as dinner. The upper part, where we sat, gave off very cozy almost bed and breakfast vibes and is romantic in a different, but very nice way. We had a table overlooking the lower part of the restaurant. Moving onto the food, we went for restaurant week. From the restaurant menu, I ordered the Wild Rice Soup, the Steak Frites, and the chocolate cake. Because of the upgrade charge on the steak, my dinner was $60. The wild rice soup was excellent. It was less creamy, but in the best way possible. In fact, I'd say that it was the best wild rice soup I've ever had and would definitely order it again. The steak was a ribeye and was very flavorful. I could definitely taste its smokey flavor. However, it was a bit tougher than I would have liked. The fries were plentiful and they were excellent. We had to take the chocolate cake home because we were too full to eat it, but it was dense and had a deep chocolate taste, but was a bit too sweet for my taste. My wife ordered the Wednesday special, which was beef stroganoff ($24). It had tender cubes of beef and the sauce was very rich. She enjoyed it very much and I agreed. However, it was too much for one portion, so we took home about half and enjoyed it the next day. She also ordered a Caesar Salad, which was excellent with a very good dressing. The service did have some lapses in it. I had to ask for a steak knife because the steak was difficult to cut with the original knife. This is usually automatic. The waitress was also at a loss when I asked her to describe an ingredient mentioned on the menu that I never heard of. Finally, she seem to have been abducted by aliens when we finished our meal and wanted to get a check. On the other hand, she was pleasant and seemed eager.
