Nine Two Five Salon - Hair color, balayage, root smudge, brown hair - Makeup Artists Near Me - Pleasanton, California

First off, to be honest I had a nice (enough) experience at Nine Two Five! BUT, for 20+yrs, I have been having a specific cut for curly hair! And I continually seek stylist, near me, to be trained in this cut!, My appointment today was scheduled for a curly girl cut; but not so much upon execution!!! I asked, MANY times, about cutting curly hair and this specific process...the stylist (not to be named) said they were "certified in a curly cut" TRICKERY - NOT, not one step was for curly hair ... and ultimately, I was disappointed If I have one thing to say to this solan, BE HONEST! Cute cut, BAD perception! Lets see how THIS curly girls hair works out in the coming days! read more

I've been going to Kaylee for years for my hair services. I am primarily blonde but she's tackled my other crazy hair decisions with ease. The 1 time in many appointments that my hair did not turn out the way I wanted (due to my own product fault) she fixed it same day with no charge. If you're a blonde looking for your go to girl then I would deff come to this cute updated salon and see her! read more

I have been going to Elissa for a couple of years and she has never disappointed! She is passionate about her work and trust her with my hair 100%! She is professional, efficient, friendly and always leaves me feeling pretty! I highly recommend Elissa! read more

Not good. Would not recommend going there. Read the reviews for Sarina. I should have done that. Would have saved me a lot of heartache. Ruined my hair, melted it off and very unprofessional. read more

First I would like to say how cute Nine Two Five Salon is! A little back history on my hair is, I dyed my hair black years ago and just had it dark for a couple years. I made an appt with the owner BriAnna Castro to get a balayage! She was very honest with me and told me that it could take up to 3 sessions to get the look that I wanted. So I was prepared for the process! I must say, I was so so surprised with my first visit with her she got my hair to the perfect color and I absolutely love it! I can't wait for my next appt with her. I would highly recommend BriAnna and the Nine Two Five Salon Team! read more

Molly did a great job on my daughter's haircut and knows what works best for her texture. I reached out to Amanda on Feb 20th and I never heard back from her until I messaged her again on 3/2/22 @ 9:34am and finally she decided to message me back. BriAnna you tell me how can someone hair look this bad before 6 weeks. I barley washed my hair and this literally happened after 2 wash. How can toner fix the roots I would have to bleach the roots again. No I would absolutely not return back to your salon not even for free fix. Good stylist would accept her mistake instead of saying oh toner is $85 if you want to fix your hair. I am not afraid to spend money on my hair but paying over $300 for this shitty work no thank you. You keep running your business and keeping charging whole a lot to pay for your decoration in the salon. Girls please stay away from this salon if you have Indian hair. Go somewhere else don't give them your money for shitty work. read more

Amanda is the best! She has been doing my hair for last 5 years! She does my thinning hair and make it fuller and longer with hair extension. She is such a beautiful soul and always shares inspiring thoughts during our session. Thank you so much Amanda! read more

Brianna is amazing!!! She's been doing my hair for the past few years and I always leave feeling so beautiful! Before I came to her I got a pretty messed up haircut somewhere else like it was a complete hack job and I wanted extensions so I looked into it and found her and boy am I glad I did. She is the sweetest stylist and always listens to what you want and gives you her opinion (which is always right) she did tape in extensions on me and I absolutely loved them, I had them in until my natural hair finally grew long and healthy enough to not need the extensions anymore. She's also a balayage goddess! I can't wait for my up coming appointment with her!! read more

Molly is an amazing stylist! She really understood exactly what I wanted and really took the time to make sure it's right. Molly even took the time to make more trims after the blow dry to make sure my hair was perfect. This is my first actual salon experience and I was nervous coming in but she made me feel so comfortable. The salon itself is gorgeous and super clean. I didn't feel out of place at all and I would definitely be coming back. I also don't live in the area but I would gladly make the trip out. read more

Haley is THAT STYLIST!!! She is the most laid back hair stylist I have ever had, and will always be my go to! She knew how to cut my hair the second I sat down and I have gotten non stop compliments! Definitely will always go back to her read more

I have officially found my salon and stylist. Nine Two Five is super cute and Bri transformed me with her amazing work. She gave my hair life (very much needed). I loved that throughout the process Bri was letting me know what she was doing, and I just trusted her. My after picture does not do my hair (Bri's amazing work) justice. I have gotten so many compliments. I absolutely love my hair, I even made my follow up visit that same day. I recommend visiting Nine Two Five Salon, everyone is so friendly! read more

Anthony has been doing my hair for almost 2 years now and he has done WONDERS to it. The color he does is amazing and I always leave the salon so content and feeling like a brand new woman. I also get my brows waxed by him and they look the best they ever have. He makes sure that his clients are happy and isn't afraid to be honest with them because he is always looking out for the health of their hair. By far the best hair dresser I have ever had, I will be going to him until I'm old and grey! read more

Mandy is my girl! She has been doing our (me + my 2 daughters) hair for years and is always available for those special occasions for hair and makeup. I didn't think I was ever going to find a stylist that can 1. get me to a desired color and 2. Maintain the integrity and health of my hair. Everyone before her either fried my hair or told me that it was unrealistic. It wasn't until I found Ezzy; hands down best stylist i've had. Olivia Casados was my hairdresser, and I told her I need my blonde back for graduation. she made me feel so ugly leaving the salon in comparison to how I felt walking in. I had a beautiful rich brown color which made me look youthful. I now look 30 (I'm 18). she covered my blonde roots with brown when she told me she would bring back my blonde. the highlights she added are an unflattering color and make my head look ashy instead of warm like she said she would do. she said she would bring blonde back but she only made me look disgusting. she charged me 350 which isn't even a price on any of the booking options. she cheated a high schooler out of money. read more

This is a very nice salon and I've been here once before and had great service from Haley. However, I'm not sure how the booking works. I wanted to book a haircut with a different stylist, but she never accepted my request. So, I cancelled and book with another stylist because I trust this salon has great stylists that can give me a great haircut. After cancelling, I booked with another stylist that didn't accept my request and now it shows that I was a no show. I'm so confused. I didn't go because it was not accepted by the stylist. Was I supposed to go? I tried calling the front desk prior to my requested appointment and I couldn't even get to their voicemail. I was really hoping this would be the place where I can get my hair done, but now I have to find another place. Im just a little frustrated because on the online booking it says I'd have to pay half of the fee. I hope that's not true because the stylist never notified me that she accepted my appointment request. It's either you let your girls know to accept or deny an appointment or change your online booking system. I never had this problem with Haley and I knew I should've just booked with her but our schedules didn't align. Haley did let me know before when she couldn't approve my request. I'd appreciate that rather than saying I was a no show and possibly charge me half the fee. read more

I booked my appt I believe two weeks in advance and the night before the stylist (Alexandra) had asked if I can come in earlier and I couldn't and the day of my appt when I arrived driving an hour to her, she only had an hour available due to a "Family Emergency" and tried offering to do my hair in a way that I did not want it done but to her own timely needs. She lied to my face and cancelled on me last minute, this isn't professional at all. read more

BriAnna Castro is amazing! Not only has she done my hair for the past few years (can you say balayage master?), she now does my daughters! We brought our 2 year old in for her first haircut, and it was nothing like what we expected! Our daughter sat so well through her entire haircut! Even when Bri used the blow dryer! It's safe to say our little girl LOVES Bri (as do I)! We will be coming here for years to come! So glad Bri finally has her own salon! :) read more

Awesome experience!! I came here based on a suggestion from coworker after my complaints of dull and lifeless curls (I have 3A curls and my hair was long, wild, and unmanageable). My coworker suggested Amanda as a go-to curly hair artist, so I booked my very first DevaCut! Amanda was sweet and knowledgeable--she didn't even bat an eye when I took my wild hair down from my bun. I wanted to take a few inches off, and she took just as much as I wanted (nothing more!). She shaped my hair phenomenally!! While she dry cut my hair she talked me through the cut and some tips for keeping my hair healthy and beautifully styled. She answered all of my questions and then some! The owner Brianna and the other surrounding stylists were fun and kind! The salon is clean and beautifully designed. My entire experience here was fantastic, definitely recommend!! read more

This was my second time getting a service done by Hailey. My first visit was for a Balayage and then extensions. I love the hair color she was able to achieve even with previous dark hair color. I'm in love with my extensions and the Nbr method she uses. I had k-tips in the past that would shed and took 4 hrs to install. However, Nbr extensions are a game changer so fast to install, no shedding, doesn't get tangled, and looks great. Hailey is an amazing and experienced stylist. You will leave her chair happy! read more

I have been getting my hair done with BriAnna for almost 10 years now. She is very knowledgeable- any issues I have with my hair especially thinning due to stress, she helps keep it healthy but not letting me over do anything and giving me great tips for home care. I have had two appointments with Karna, one last year and one last week. Karna does my mom's hair and so when I wanted to have some highlights done my mom recommended Nine Two Five Salon. Karna was so warm and helpful from the beginning and did an amazing job on my initial highlights. This past week I wanted just a little trim and to lighten my hair a little more. Karna made me feel so wonderful (like a new person lol) and I absolutely love that when they finish your hair they curl it for you too! I was really looking forward to getting my hair done after letting it grow out for MONTHS. I booked with Mandy about a month ago and I got multiple confirmations from both Mandy and the salon. Mandy moved my appointment time around twice within 10 days, which I understood. BUT, 3 hours before our appointment Mandy told me she needed to push our appointment back yet another time. I was really frustrated because I felt like she didn't really ask me if that was ok she simply just told me that was what the plan was. I understand that situations come up, but I felt as though my time did not mean anything to her. After this, I asked if she would like to reschedule. I heard nothing in return so I made my way to the salon a couple of hours later (mind you I live 40 minutes away). Mandy then decided to respond to my text 20 minutes into my drive, and 30 minutes before my scheduled appointment time, to tell me she would like to reschedule. I understand that life gets in the way, but as a first-time client, I would have appreciated my time being considered and better communication. I never even received an apology. Not sure if this is a deal breaker for anyone else, but I don't think I will be rescheduling my appointment with NineTwoFive Salon. Thanks for taking the time to read this. Hopefully, this hasn't happened to anyone else :/ read more

Finding a hair stylist you trust is hard to do. Luckily, I was introduced to this spot from a friend. I instantly felt comfortable with Brianna. She did my hand extensions! She is a master colorist also! She thoroughly explained the process, listened to my wants and picked out the best colors to match what I wanted! She is also so sweet. And can I even mention the salon itself? Absolutely gorgeous! Highly recommend. If you want someone to make you feel and look beautiful, go see her! read more

I came to Brianna after I went to another stylist that completely f*cked my hair up. Brianna managed to fit me into her schedule on such short notice, I was so relieved because I didn't even want to go out in public, my hair was that bad. The previous stylist didn't even cut my hair straight (which I wasn't even aware of until Brianna pointed it out and fixed it for me!) and gave me an awful ombre which is hard to come back from. It was way brighter/blonder than I wanted and too high up on my head. I'm so glad I came to Nine Two Five Salon, Brianna is a total life saver! She was very patient and took the time to listen to what I liked and disliked. She salvaged the ombre and was able to tone it down and make it look more natural. I live in San Mateo and honestly, the drive over to Pleasanton was completely worth it, I will definitely be coming back again in the future! read more

Beautiful salon, but definitely didn't get what I asked for from my stylist. Not even close, the color is bad and it looks like very poorly done thick highlights. I had high hopes for this salon but I feel like I paid $400 for a $50 outcome. She was more focused on "spilling the tea" about the other stylists than really focusing on doing a decent job. read more

I had such a great experience at this Salon. My last stylist moved away and I had not gotten my hair cut in over a year. I loved the easy appointment booking process that they have here! I made an appointment online and from that point to when I got my haircut the communication between myself and the salon was open efficient and professional. Anthony was the stylist who helped me and I looooove the haircut he gave me, he made my hair look so much healthier and was very nice and consulted me on every major decision during the cut which helped me trust his judgement as a stylist. I'm glad I was able to walk away with a great haircut and am excited to return in 2 months for my next haircut. Would recommend this salon and Anthony to anyone and everyone!!! read more
