I contacted Chantelle in the morning and I got an appointment that afternoon. When I met Chantelle, I showed her several pictures and she asked questions and started cutting my hair. She checked in with me throughout the process and made sure she was cutting my hair the way that I wanted it. Note: my hair was below my shoulders and I usually ask for a layered bob - most people do not listen or get it right. Chantelle however went the distance to listen and achieve the desired results. Asked for bright ashy blonde and left with orange streaks. Went a few days ago to get a partial highlight. The first time around I ended up darker than I came in. I politely asked her to lighten up my roots as they were way too dark and instead of telling me that she was unable to do so she went ahead and bleached them anyways. My hair didn't lift as she thought it would so she left me with warm streaks in my hair. Her excuse was that it looked fine the first time around, although it didn't look bad, point blank it wasn't what I asked for. Only good part is she didn't charge me because "I had to go get it fixed". This comment fully insinuated that she wasn't offering to fix it herself, either she knew she lacked the skills or didn't want to deal with her own mistake. Had my appointment yesterday. I came to Chantelle previously when I was in need of a haircut postpartum, and she did such a fantastic job I came back again! My appointment actually didn't register on Chantelle's calendar even though Yelp said it was confirmed (weird!). Fortunately Chantelle was accommodating and didn't have any conflict so she was able to take me in at 11:30. I was looking for a salon in the area I came across this salon on yelp, read the reviews, they were awesome, I booked an appt with Chantelle which is the owner! The day of my appt I met with Chantelle and walked through a door which I thought would be a salon with a lot of workers, but no it's actually just the owner. The room your in the vibes is so homey and the decor very decorative, she keeps the place nice and tidy as well. I basically told her what I wanted and the results came out so good. What I really liked was that her technique is very unique, I have been getting my hair done at different salons for 30+yrs and never have i got this done , so first she cuts the hair while it's dry and then highlights which worked out so well, also she massaged my head and I was so relaxed she was making me tired, I needed a pick me up after that. She offered me some beverages, made me a great strong coffee that woke me up after all that pampering. She makes you feel so comfortable like you're right at home! First impressions go a long way so here I go - I reached out for her availability via Yelp and was so impressed by how quickly she replied (literally within 10-15 mins) so I booked a haircut for my first appt. I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived after realizing how awesome her salon is - she rents out her own suite in a complex specifically for hair stylists and there's plenty of parking. Her space is so chic, adorably decorated, immaculately clean and instantly relaxing! Loved every minute of such a personalized service she provides :) Got several compliments from friends about my cut. What really drew me to be a returning client was her follow up text 4 days after my haircut just to check in on how I was liking it. On 6/7/2023, I booked an updo/special occasion hair appointment with specific details of what I wanted: two, French-braided pigtails with hair extensions I would provide. The appointment was accepted and there was no outreach from the stylist, so I assumed with my detailed appointment request, we were all set. Today, one day before my appointment, she reached out to ask for photos of what I wanted. I provided four pics as a guide. She said "she wasn't sure if she could do it". It's now one day before my event, I can't find anyone last minute, and not only am I not able to get my hair done for an event, I'm out of pocket the expense of hair I purchased for the appointment. I started going to Chantelle in January after another stylist over-bleached my hair. The entire top layer of my hair broke off at about an inch from the roots. My hair was so damaged more would break off anytime I wet it. The remaining strands of hair that didn't break off were really brittle and I was afraid to try to brush it or do anything to it for fear more might continue to break off. I found Chantelle after searching Yelp for salons where people mentioned broken hair. I chose her because reviews raved about how much she puts your hair first even if it meant the customer forgoing a more expensive treatment. After my experience with it breaking, it's been so nice to work with someone who's been so caring, attentive, and intentional about rehabilitating my hair and making sure I'm not scarred for life on getting coloring done. At my first appointment, she applied a treatment, trimmed off the broken ends, and applied a clear gloss to fill in the breaks in my hair. After just that day, my hair felt 10x better and I was able to shower and brush my hair without more breaking off. It looked more healthy and was easier to hide how much of it was missing. I went back about 2 months later after my hair had started growing out. Because I have naturally dark hair, my hair was starting to look really patchy since it was bleached blond in some places and dark in the areas where the broken pieces didn't cover the layer of hair underneath. Chantelle applied another treatment and did some semi-permanent coloring to make my patchy bleached mess look like an intentional ombré look. It looks so much better than I imagined it could considering what happened! Having my hair break off has been a horrifying experience but Chantelle has made it so much better. I've never had a consistent hair stylist before because I thought it was silly, but I can't imagine allowing anyone else to come near my hair now. read more

I had gone previously and there were no issues, how when I booked my second appointment ( 2 weeks in advance) I got a confirmation email from GoDaddy and confirmed the appointment by texting Chantelle, however when I got there she denied that I had an appointment that day. She refused to take me and wouldn't switch times with another client even though I had booked a long time ago. When I ask her why not and how this happened, she merely ignored me. We took her in a transport chair with small wheels; not her big wheelchair. Still, my mother could not get her head to the sink. So Chantelle obtained a sink extension device. She has the audacity to tell me that I'm late and has another appointment in 15 mins when we agreed that I was doing a consult and a haircut and highlights with lowlights. WHY would you overbook in the same 15 mins when you're supposed to be doing my hair?! DO NOT GO HERE. When I tried contacting her to find her and get in the door she didn't respond until about 20 mins later. Meanwhile, here I am struggling to get inside. Her excuse for it all was saying I was "late", BUT SHE HAD THE FRONT DOOR LOCKED. Very unprofessional and full of attitude from the moment I saw her face finally. Really....Don't go to Chantel. What a waste of time for a mom that payed for daycare and she just threw away $400. UPDATE she's super petty. After I left and was sitting in the parking lot 20 mins later talking to my fiance, Chantel charged me for the appt that never happened as revenge for this review. She's lying in my texts of harassment after she's been harassing me with billing texts to my phone and marking me a no-show and is now threatening police as if I've done something wrong when shes trying to now mark me up on my credit and steal my money/ her not earned money when shes the one that told me she couldnt see me for my appt. Lovely stylist but I feel like she didn't listen to what I want. I came out with a darker color when I specifically ask for lighter balayage and I even showed pictures. I said I do not want brassy, orangy, copper looking hair but she did exactly that. No ashy blonde or biege hair for a balayage. I left very disappointed especially how much she charged me for.i was wondering why the balayage took such a short amount of time too. Now I have to find a place to execute the look I'm looking for and fix this expensive brassy hair. My husband even questioned what was done to my hair becuz I already previously had light highlights but my hair turned darker with brassy look. No blonde or ashy in my hair just the bottom tips that was previously colored. Im so sad and upset :( read more

I assumed she did not see the text so I decided to go at my regular time. She marked me late and was kind of passive aggressive toward me. Some positives I can give is that i liked the massage when she was washing my hair, and my haircut came out okay. This is a personal preference and has nothing to do with my review, but she likes to talk to you during your appointment, not about hair but general conversation. She treated my hair gently and trimmed my hair artfully and it turned out looking and feeling lighter with the layers and had more movement like I requested.
