(And I've had many) left my hair alone for a while after that and let it grow out and came back again for a fairly big hair chop doing a "lob" and Tiffany yet again did an amazing job! I was nervous going so short but she did it exactly how i wanted if not better! Was so pleased I'll be back again next week for another balayage! I went to this salon based on the high ratings, but left confused, and after getting home, the disappointment set in. The haircut and style I got was so far off from the pictures I provided. I showed various pictures( front, side, and back) to give Briana a good idea of what I wanted to achieve. My 17 year old daughter's only comment (who recently got her hair cut from another local stylist in Livermore, got a beautiful cut and style) is that it's just bad and walked away. I have had plenty of horrible experiences and haircuts before so it's safe to assume I was anxious about trying this new salon. Once again, lesson learned, go to your trusted salon and stylist. DO NOT RELY ON RATINGS ALONE. I've already made an appointment with my trusted hair stylist in Fremont to fix my hair. I'm willing to drive further out to see her after this sad experience! In response to Varina's review: You had a different experience than I did and it's great that you love your results. But, you had a different hairstylist. And as the owner of the salon, I expected Briana to deliver and she fell short of that. I couldn't wear my hair straight because the cut was uneven; I had no choice but to curl it to hide the imperfections. You cannot deny that my hair looks nothing like the pictures I showed Briana. Would I be willing to risk sitting there again to have her "fix" it when she couldn't deliver the haircut I wanted in the first place? So, while I appreciate your feedback, the pictures speak for themselves. I have come here a couple times, I recently moved away but I had event coming up and didn't want to risk trying a new place close to me - the ladies that work here are worth an hour drive from the city in my opinion. Super nice, super efficient, listen to what you want and then execute on it. It's a cute, clean salon, great location. I would recommend to anyone in the area. TLDR: please please do your research before choosing to come here especially if your service requires bleach. I had a much better experience at Pepper Salon right down the street from here and would recommend looking into them first. I can't tell you how much I've cried over my hair the past couple days. To spend almost $500 on a service I could have done at home and still keep the integrity of my hair has left me devastated. She offered a free trim and treatment after I reached out to her, but failed to mention she'd charge me $200 to fix my hair into the original inspo I wanted. Hard pass. Owner of the salon completely fried my hair. About 8 inches of my top was virgin hair and the bottom 6 inches was an outgrown balayage from two years ago. I sat in bleach for almost 2 hours total while she juggled 4 other clients throughout my appointment. Her response to my end product was "wow you lifted more than i thought you would!" Um yeah I would think so after all that time in the foils. Absolutely rough, brittle, and cheap looking end result. She didn't provide a bleach strip test to check the integrity of my hair, nor would she frequently check on my hair. I let her know I cared more about the integrity & health of my hair over the color I wanted (mind you, this isn't even the color I wanted lol it literally looks like I did a bad orange bleach job at home). I wanted a neutral brown with golden undertones and she went really heavy with the golden tones which is unfortunate since she is a colorist and I thought she'd know to balance out the brass. She would yank out 5-10 foils at a time and caused me so much pain (total of 95 foils & even then I still have splotches of my natural hair throughout since she was in a rush to give her other client a haircut) & was really heavy handed when brushing my newly bleached hair, I had to hold back tears throughout my appointment. The other owner was so gentle handed when helping to take out my foils and focused on one client the entire 5 hour duration I was there-- and her craft shows through her work. ** SPECIAL NOTE ** I was in the chair next to Rochelle R. on her 10/17 visit. Her hair did not look like the pictures she provided. Her hair was sleek and she left very happy with the way she looked. A bit confused why she changed her mind once she got home. That being said.... I've been to Salon Rebelle 3 times now. I'm older and have difficult hair to work with. It's dry, shoulder length and colored for years. When I went in this last visit, I explained to Bri that I needed more layers in my hair. My daughter is autistic and tends to grab my hair. The last time she did this it really hurt. As much as I would love the long locks that all the other customers have... It just isn't for me. I explained this and Bri listened. She colored my hair (the color I left to her). I then got the most AMAZING wash from Gabby (those nails... never cut those nails! :) and then on to the cut and style. Everything was done and I looked at myself. I was ready to pay. Then I looked at myself in the mirror again. Not enough layers to my liking. You know what I did? Right there I explained to Bri that I needed more layers. It just didn't look right to me. Without even hesitating she sat me back down and cut some more layers. Then she thinned it down (at my request). It took an extra 30 minutes. I left there so happy with the way my hair looked and felt. Remember everyone. Beauty costs. We women (and men) like to feel and look good. A very important thing to realize is that you are messing with a person's livelihood when you leave a bad review. This is the way they support their family. Before you leave a bad review, stop and think what you could have done. You could have said something before you left the salon. You could have called the next day and said "Hey, I'm not too sure I like my cut." I bet you would have been received back in that salon with open arms and smiles to make everything right. You choose not to. I'm sure your salon in Fremont is wonderful and they will make you happy. If someday they don't, rethink how you handle the situation. Be nice. It doesn't cost a thing. read more

I have never dyed my hair before and asked for this color in the provided photo. All that they did was add permanent dye in my dark hair, making it more black with a slight tint of red. When I called the salon expressing my dissatisfaction she replied with "well in the pictures we took, it is a red color." She offered to fix it but came off a little condescending and lacked empathy over the phone, and didn't offer any kind of refund or discount, so I just decided to take my business elsewhere. read more

Made an appointment for my 3 year old kids for hair cut. My boy had lots of hair that needed a cut and style (it did not turn out good). My daughter has very fine hair and she did not really need a trim, but since her brother gets one, she also wanted something done. They are twins. Shock came at end of service. $55 dollars per kid. I can sort of understand for my boy cause he had more hair. But for my girl??? Wow $55 for cutting a few hair strands in 10 minutes. And no cute clips or style. When I mentioned it to stylist, response was: "We appreciate your feedback and are sorry to hear that. Our prices reflect the quality of service, experience, and time we dedicate. We understand that everyone has different budgets, and we truly appreciate you bringing your children today. If you ever decide to return, we'd love to have you." So, consumer be ware. Ask beforehand how much it will cost you. The cost of the service was not told to me at time of booking. She did not have to tell me, but it would have been business polite to do so. And I did not ask - who knew that a 3 year old head could cost $55 for 10 minutes. It's not about a budget (may be for others). It's about integrity of doing business. read more

A friend recommended that I go to see Bri for a curly hair cut. She did s great job but after moving to their new location she sent me to Caitlyn. My first two experiences with Caitlin were positive but then it went downhill. She started cutting my curly hair not using the curly hair technique. When I asked her why she said her coworker said this was a better way. Then she booked another appointment close to mine and left my styling to someone else. I did not like the way that stylist did my hair. In an industry where customer service is vital, I ended up paying a lot of money for an experience that was awful. read more

Got my hair done by one stylist and didn't come out quite like the pictures I showed so I called bri the manager and she argued w me the whole call, was very defensive and implied it was mostly my fault until she finally offered a $50 credit. Called again bc why would I come back if they botched my hair?? Asked politely for the $50 back to my card instead, barely anything compared to the overalls price I paid, and after lots of loud sighs and attitude she said "fine I guess I'll refund you" She was the only one I had a bad experience with so if you have a problem with your hair don't expect much from the manager read more

Long overdue review. I came to see Jasynn for a curly cut. It had been about a year or so since my last trim and I knew my ends needed help. She squeezed me in and kept my appointment, even though I scheduled it on a holiday and I really appreciate her for that! I love that she educated me while shampooing/conditioning my hair, gave me recommendations on what to use, and how to set my hair with my diffuser and hooded dryer. I think I probably had about an inch or two cut off (which was needed). She's definitely not scissor happy and not cutting more than needed! This review is from a few months ago I forgot to submit. All I will preface the rest of this review with is if you have thick, ethnic hair or require a color correction do NOT come here. you would think that when you show a professional an inspo picture of the color you want they will do what they need to do in order to achieve the goal. I would never assume I know more than the professional. that being said, i took my mom here to get her hair colored as a treat. Through text message when booking the appointment we had specified we wanted a color correction done. For reference, my moms hair had previously been bleached and dyed a burgundy red at home however due to health issues she hadn't been able to upkeep with maintenance for a few weeks. Her dyed hair had faded out significantly and she had about 3inches of root growth. my mom has naturally black hair with 20-30% gray hair. Prior to the coloring started, we mentioned multiple times that we wanted a color correction done on her too and because some of her ends had patchy color from trying to lift box dye she had done in the past. 1st red flag was her telling us that she would need to color my moms roots darker than the color we wanted because of her gray hairs.... she tells us it will have a better blend after the next appointment when she does a balayage to bring the lighter color up for a better blend. it did not make sense to me why she couldn't bleach my moms roots and then go in with color to get one solid color... as was the inspo pic. i even questioned her if she would use bleach and she said no. AGAIN- who am i to question a professional? i stayed quiet, again thinking by "darker" she meant 2-3 shades darker than the color she uses on the rest of my moms hair and perhaps she's using a high volume developer to lift my moms roots. i mean we all discussed the inspo picture. we all looked at the same picture and picked out colors we thought would be the closest match and we were on the same page- right?! wrong. the end result was horrific. my heart sank when i saw my mothers roots (3 inches) were a really dark color and the rest was a bright red. neither the roots nor the colored part was anything close to the reference picture and the roots and colored ends were so different in color. i won't lie, when she curled my moms hair it was not easy to see just how bad the coloring job was. i'm terrible at confrontation, especially with service workers. i told myself it was too late to do anything and paid without complaining and even tipped the full 20%. it wasn't until we left the salon when i parted my moms hair in the back and took a closer look and came to see that aside from dying my moms hair two strikingly different colors with ZERO blending there had been no color correction done to the ends either. it was my sister who demanded we go back to the salon and was outraged on my moms behalf. my mom hated it too, but she didn't express it because the hair coloring was supposed to be a treat and my mom doesn't like complaining like me. we went back and after the salonist called the owner they offered to color it again. She refused any refund of any kind. This hair stylist's solution was to COLOR MY MOMS ENTIRE HEAD BLACK as that was the only solution she had to "making it all one color". I'm what world is making all the hair black a solution for color correction? I refused to allow her to do a black because it made no sense at all if our future goals were for her to have LIGHTER hair than her natural color. Then she recommended a few other colors that looked purple and was adamant that this was the only solution and the color i had picked would not work out. Again it was a very difficult position to be in because I wanted to trust her word and go with her choice but she had lost my trust and her choice did not make sense, but I also did not have more experience than a years worth of hair coloring at home. In the end I chose the color I picked and she gave a warning that she's not responsible if the color didn't come out the way we wanted since it wasn't her choice. The next thing that frustrated me was that their solution to recoloring my moms hair was to make a glaze. She rubbed it in my moms hair like shampoo and left my mom to have her head hanging in the hair washing station for I don't know how much time but I would not consider glazing the hair the same as recoloring as was promised. Regardless, I was relieved to see after she washed my moms hair and dried it- it looked significantly better in that her roots and ends were closer in color than the drastic black roots and red ends she bad colored WITHOUT having to dye all my moms hair black like she wanted to do. I've attached the reference pic we all discussed in the beginning and the original job she had completed and gotten paid for. No one deserves to pay their hard earned money and get these kind of results. read more

Excellent! Went for a hair transformation after more than a years' growth. Megan was very attentive and did not rush at all. I didn't know what I wanted and was confused with the many color options and she helped me pick the tone than complemented my skin well and she also gave me the confidence to pull off any color as long as I was happy with it.
