I usually go to fusion 3 salon in Livermore but I went to Pleasanton this time and had a terrible experience! The manager luckily refunded my money because it was almost $200 for the balayage I wanted done! I wanted a balayage and showed the stylist the picture of the girls curly back hair And told her I wanted it like that picture. I also wanted to keep the roots dark. As you can see from the pictures it's nowhere near what I wanted and the stylist afterwards didn't even ask if I wanted it toned! The salon closed again cause of COVID so I had to redo it myself afterwards cause I was so embarrass of what it looked like. Fusion 3 Salon is wonderful- it's clean and comfortable inside, the staff that I've met are always friendly and kind, and the work they do is phenomenal! I drive all the way from Oakland to get my hair cut and colored by Amanda, and that's a big deal for someone who doesn't typically like long drives or leaving their house. My aesthetic taste is more than a little unconventional, but Amanda finds a way to perfectly and beautifully refine even my most out-there ideas of what I want my hair to look like. I have been in and out of Fusion3 since around 2009. The gaps in visits have been due to either my stylist moving, I've moved out of town a couple times, or a friend or family member raves about a stylist I just need to try. I always come back to fusion3. Ive has great experiences with several stylists at Fusion3 but I've been coming to Olivia for around 3 years now. Even when I was living in San Luis Obispo I would plan to get my hair done by Olivia on visits to the Bay Area. Not only do I completely trust her with my hair she's really fun to visit with. She's genuine, a good listener and she puts her client's hair dreams first. She has a knack for understanding what I'm going for even when I don't have the slightest clue how to explain it. She's pretty amazing about that. I had a short lob when I moved back to the Bay in 2016 and she has been caring for my hair as I let it grow out. Ive had some stylists that made me feel insecure about the cuts I wanted. I tend to be kind of conservative abut my look. She never pressures me to do or try anything I'm not comfortable with and she's always super on board with whatever I want to achieve with my hair. She knows I want to play with color at some point but until I get there she's always been happy to just let me pick her brain about it. I adore Olivia. One of the best salon experiences I've had so far! A friend recommended this place (or any of the other 2 locations) and I was able to get in a last minute appointment for a cut and color. Rosie returned my call right away and she was very helpful in setting up my appointment. Melissa took care of me! I ended up getting a Balayage and cut (total $227). I was offered water and cookies (yummy), a neck wrap, and a scalp massage. Her price was more because she is at the expert level. You can pay less for a stylist who is just beginning their training program. I love the supportive atmosphere in this salon where everyone helps each other out and they made me feel very welcome since it was my first time. They also have a great referral system! I received a $10 certificate for my next visit, a $20 certificate for a friend that you refer, and I believe if you refer a friend you receive $20 yourself. They also have a whole line of Aveda and Davines products for purchase. Overall, my experience was wonderful and I will definitely be back. The price reflects the great job they do on your hair. I'm sad to say I've moved about 6 hours away from fusion 3. I recently had my roots done where I live now (I dye my hair blonde) and my hair is soo dry and frizzy now. I NEVER had this problem with fusion 3 products. Everything they use left my hair healthy and frizz free, no matter how much blonde I wanted. The experience I had at this salon was great. The staff here are friendly and professional. The atmosphere is cool. My girlfriend gets her hair done here and I needed a haircut so I went to her hairstylist Vanessa. Vanessa is a great hairstylist. I'm picky with my hair so she listened to everything that I requested and executed it very well. She's fun to engage in conversation and has a great attitude. They're expensive but worth it because they use products that don't have ammonia which my scalp was super happy with because I can feel my crown kinda thinning from all the high buns I tend to do. I love fusion 3! This is my go to salon when my usual stylist / colorist is too busy. I've had my hair cut, highlighted and styled a handful of times w/in the last few years and the ladies have always done a great job. They even did a fab makeup job for my 20th reunion last summer. Last week I had a Brazilian Blowout done by Kristen. She was professional, fun and answered all of my questions. I am loving the results and the fact that she called me a few days later to see if I was happy with the results and did they meet my expectations etc. First rate service from a first rate, non snobby salon! It's been about 6 weeks since I was serviced at this location (my next appt is scheduled) but I have got to say I am thrilled that I was able to get my appointment here. I had a horrible experience (totally different place) so I had a lot of anxiety about getting my hair done again. With much conversation & reassuring from my stylist i felt completely at ease. Came here on recommendation of a friend (this review is long overdue). The service was great. I felt pampered right when stepping in. Before the haircut, there was a scalp, shoulder, and hand massage. However, the actual haircut lasted about a minute. Granted, I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with my hair, but I didn't expect just a trim. This took under 30 seconds. Then my bangs were cut, which took another minute. The haircut was over. I went to Fusion 3 Salon with hair that was in need of a lot of attention due to a previous horrible hair cut experience (not at an AVEDA salon). Cecilia took care of me today and was wonderful. She was reassuring and confident that she could get my hair back into shape and she certainly did. I left well educated on the steps to continue to improve the shape of my hair and what products to use. I normally don't book my next appointment when I leave, but today I did!!!! I started getting my hair cut with the owners when they worked at a previous salon in Dublin; when Fusion 3 opened in Pleasanton almost 10 yrs i was there as one of their first customers. After moving to South Livermore in 2005, it only made sense to reduce the overall time committment and move to the Livermoe location - plus my favorite stylsite is there!!! I have never had a bad haircut nor had bair coloring. I use Anna for my haircuts and just recently started with Nicholle - she make my highlighs looks completely natural, gorgeous and fresh. Very Impressed! I just moved into town and my neighbor recommended this salon. Talk about special treatment! I was greeted with tea and before my hair cut I was given a head massage with my choice of oils that was just heavenly. My stylist Karen was great and listened to my concerns. She even gave my hair a deep moisture conditioner as I had just moved from the desert air of Las Vegas. Karen even knew how I liked my hair blowed dryed. I just sat back and relaxed. Very good stylist! Then as a special treat as I was leaving, I was given a goodie bag with samples of the shampoo they used and the hand cream they used for my hand massage while I was given my deep conidtioning. Amazing service! I went here to get my feather extensions and custom ordered the colors I wanted. The staff was very helpful and nice. They called me right away when the feathers got delivered to make an appt. It cost me $35 a bundle which has 5 strings of feathers ( peacock colors :-) I felt very comfortable with the girls as they welcomed me with a bright smile. I was able to go back in to get the feathers changed to another spot! They still follow up with me to make sure its working out good and if I wanted to take them out I could come in anytime. I havn't had any experience with hair cut yet but Im definitely going here for my next cut. A bit costly ... But convenient and I love good customer service :-) Hope this helps y'all. read more

Unfortunately, I will no longer be able to go to this salon. The have raised their prices again, It is just way too expensive for me . I paid over $300 for a cut and color. It's nice that they also offer a new talent option but it's still very expensive and there isn't much availability. Also, once you find someone you like they quickly move up to advanced and it's just too overpriced for me, and from my experience the new talent didn't use The Aveda products they used the other brand they carry. So I will be going out to the Aveda salon in Walnut Creek, which sucks but it's worth the 30 minute drive if I can save $150. You should update the price point on yelp it's definitely $$$ . read more

I am not hard to please and I am usually ok with whatever but will never go to this place again......I started going to this place in summer of 2016, my stylist(not gonna mention her name) used to do a good job until 3 months ago when I went there and she messed up my hair, they did not charge me, and I went there the second time and she messed up my hair again. Even though i did not have to pay i still tipped her 20%. The third time I went there, she fried my hair and did the worst job she could have possibly done. She put 2 pieces of brassy highlights on the front and the rest of my hair was black. The highlighted part of my hair was fried and had such an ugly color. The salon coordinator usually calls to get feedback for the service, but when I explained to her, she said she will talk to the manager but i never heard from them again... I had to go find a good hair stylist afterwards, had to pay $250 to fix the color and cut my hair to get rid of the fried hair.... read more

I never write reviews but choose to go out of my way for places that are worth it. Fusion 3 Salon Livermore is the best hair salon I have ever been to and have moved around and visited a lot all over the place! The experience is more than the haircut, being greeted, the massage, the essential oils: then they actually listen to you and do what's best for your hair. I have always had Melissa when I visit and she so kind and genuine, and remembers who I am even after months of not visiting. The salon itself is comfortable, clean, well kept and relaxing. It is well work the price for a basic style. I will be returning back here each time because i feel so amazing after leaving; I feel cared for and appreciated. This salon is so rude, I'm not sure where they get off thinking they can have poor customer service but they do. I had my hair mis colored there three times and stopped going, but my main complaint is for the face products they sell there. Specifically the tourmaline hydrating face cream, I've gone in twice and called twice inquiring about it and it's all attitude. I'm not sure if they just don't want to carry Aveda products or what but every other salon that Dela Aveda products has never been rude like this. It's as if they are acting like they are some super important salon in New York City or something. We're in Livermore, home of kindness and non pretentious people.
