First time trying here. My husband had been trying to get a reservation for a couple of weeks, unsuccessfully, using Open Table. We decided to walk-in on a Friday around 6pm and were seated upstairs right away. The food was AMAZING!!! We had the shrimp spring rolls, General Tso's Chicken, Peking Duck and Seafood Fried Rice. Also had the Golden Mango Sago Pudding dessert which was sooooo good and probably the best dessert I've ever had in my life! We will definitely be back! The vibes were soooo nice also, very laidback and chill. We sat outside which was great because the weather was perfect but I would try inside next time because the ambiance and decor is great. They have multiple really nice seating areas: downtown, downstairs outside courtyard, upstairs inside, upstairs outside (both right and left). Wedge salad and seafood fried rice was good too but portions were small. We were offered a birthday dessert with no utensils! Had to flag down another employee for spoons. There were many employees there but service was lacking professionalism. For the upscale ambience, the employee uniforms were t- shirts and jeans....Atmosphere was decent with nice interior, but music too loud to hold conversations across the table. We had a great experience here tonight. The food was 10/10, the drinks were also great (loved the margs) and we had a great server Paul. We came here to celebrate my last day of radiation and they did everything to make me feel special and celebrated. They gave me a lovely card and the manager also came to wish me well. Ordered two different kinds of Shumai, mushroom dumplings, chicken xiao long bao, crispy shrimp ball, garlic pea shoots, green beans, the bbq chicken, pork ribs and the truffle duck. Service was typical of an Atlas restaurant: attentive and thoughtful. With the exception of the truffle duck, everything was authentic and tasty. The bill was high, but it was skewed the truffle duck, (unique and still very well prepared and served exquisitely) the portions aren't huge, but also not offensively small. This probably isn't your regular Chinese spot, but a good choice for a special night out. The restaurant is also beautiful. The only criticism I would have is that while everything tasted great, nothing blew me away. For the price point, I do expect at least one dish to knock me off my feet. read more

Second time here. I found the secret. Sit at the bar and stick with the dim sum. The chicken soup dumplings, the shrimp spring rolls the crab Rangoon were all delicious. What's the point of offering courses on a menu (apps, entrees etc...) and having everything show up all at once, (except the 30 minute required Peking Duck which arrived first in way less than 30 minutes) with literally no room on the table for all of the plates? Come on guys, you can do better. Inexcusable. We watched this happen at each table around us. Service was non-existent. As for the design, why no windows in the main lower level bar room? Dark, loud and simply unpleasant. Where's the elevator to reach the upper level bar, which is attractive but has no seating for 4 tops except outside. Hmmm...partly our fault I guess for going the week it opened but our experience was way below average. You would think for an Atlas group restaurant it would be firing on all cylinders when it opened but that was hardly the case.... The service was so disorganized. At least 4 separate occasions a waiter brought food to our table which was not ours.. The food we actually ordered was sloppily plated and lacked flavor. The cucumber salad was very bland, the potstickers were underwhelming with seasoning and was filled with chewy/sinewy meat, and the dessert was inedible. We ordered the chocolate mochi dumplings with salted cream on the side. I kid you not there was a tablespoon or more dumped in the salted cream... I had everyone at the table to try it to make sure I wasn't hallucinating... they all agreed it was inedible. Anyways it was an extremely disappointing dinner and will not be returning until major issues have been worked out. read more

Atlas has so many great restaurants but this one falls short. We had dim sum plates and the Peking duck, the lamb potstickers are the only item that stood out. Sadly the Peking duck, known for its crispy skin, had skin so soft I could smoothly cut through with my chop sticks. Server was nice but barely checked in as the restaurant filled up, had to ask another server to get our check as we waited to leave. Bottom line beautiful space but food and service was meh. read more

It's a nice upscale restaurant. The general tso chicken was delicious. I didn't like that you had to order a side of white rice. The spring rolls were delicious. The Singapore noodles were not that good to me. I just didn't like the flavor and they were a little too dry. I will go back and try something else. read more

Let me begin by expressing a sincere thank you to the hostess. I travel often for work and happened to be staying at a nearby hotel when I decided to stop in, assuming the restaurant was open. As it turned out, they hadn't officially opened. Instead they were hosting a staff training dinner ahead of their grand opening. To my surprise, the hostess graciously invited me to join as part of their practice service. That gesture alone showed me how much they care about the customer experience. And the menu more than backed that up. My server was prompt, friendly, and attentive throughout the evening. The crab Rangoons were perfectly crisp on the outside, creamy on the inside, and cooked to perfection. The chili wontons were packed with flavor though personally, I would have enjoyed just a bit more heat. Overall, the food was truly outstanding. The vibe strikes a nice balance: elegant yet relaxed. The downstairs bar area was lively and inviting. From what I could see from the outside, it looked like there's an upper-level deck bar and seating area as well, which I'd love to check out on a future visit. Great for a date night. read more

Came to enjoy the happy hour menu. Happy Hour is Monday - Friday 4-6pm I would say it's basic Chinese food. I wasn't blown away by anything I tried. I only ate one of the chicken potstickers and sent it back. It was really packed with chives, I couldnt taste chicken. Lamb potstickers was good but not for everyone. General Tso was a good portion, definitely nice and moist and flavorful, also a hint of spice. The Mongolian Beef was tender but the portion was extremely small. There's no substitutions to the happy hour menu. The location is really nice, good vibe ! The staff is really friendly and helpful. The chicken wings crispy, saucy, moist, sweet and flavorful. I went to Nine Tailed Fox for lunch the day before Thanksgiving. It was bustling at the bar area, but the bartender did an amazing job keeping up with everyone by himself. I had the Mongolian Beef which was tender, juicy and extremely flavorful. The array of peppers cooked with it gave it an extra pop of flavor. I had the seafood rice it too was good, the seafood was clearly sautéed in Asian spices and garlic with sesame oil. My only complaint was it could have had more seafood for the price but the flavor was exceptional nonetheless. Lastly I had the Strawberry Cloud Cake which was reminiscent of strawberry short cake it was a decent ending to a satisfying meal. read more

My food was pretty good. I had the crab Rangoon and the whole fried fish. They gave me minimal sauce for a WHOLE rock fish. I asked for more go charged without being told. Ridiculous. My friends food was meh. Also they charge a facilities fees. No where but the check was mentioned. I visited Nine Tails Fox on 1/20. I visited during happy hour time the front desk was warm and told me to choose between downstairs or upstairs. I headed upstairs to wait for my friend who was joining me. I sat at the half empty bar for 5 minutes before I decided to see how far away my friend was from my location it stated she was 7 minutes away from me. I took the bartender the full 12 minutes to greet me and bring me a menu before returning to attend the couple he spent most of the time at the bar chatting with. When the bartender finally came back I order a glass of red wine he didn't mention his name. A few moments later my friend after looking for parking came in. It took another 10 minutes for him to come back around to greet her. In the bar it's shaped like a square I'm sitting in one corner of the square and in each corner is a couple. It's two bartenders one male one female. My bartender Justin spent most of his time with an elderly white couple in the counter near the back. He circle back to me and my friend and ask her if she needed anything she opted for water. My wine was barely touch bc it was disgusting he didn't ask me if I was enjoying it or not. We proceeded to order food my friend had a couple questions about the menu and it seemed like we were getting on his nerves. He was very short with us and impatient. He made a weird comment to my friend saying it would be similar to her local carry out Chinese food when she was asking was it similar to a sit down Chinese restaurant. We received our food my friend got a wonton soup but did not get a soup by the time we could flag him down her soup was cold. We had to ask the girl bartender to refill our water and to close out because Justin couldn't handle his 2-3 parties of people. A white gentleman sat at the bar he had Justin immediate attention and service. The elderly white couple that was sitting before I came in got Checked on multiple time. I should have known better since this is an Atlas Restaurant that I a black woman and my friend also being a black woman would not receive adequate service. It's a shame I received better service for my birthday and it was quite crowded in August vice the 10 people tops. However it might just be Justin he is not a people person and did not provide good service. read more

The ambiance of the restaurant is visually appealing and inviting, but the loud noise level with incessant, monotonous, beating background music might induce a migraine to those sensitive to sound. Excellent service. Atmosphere was on par with other Atlas restaurants, i.e. very tasteful. Now the bad news: Cocktail menu had fun titles, but were hit or miss. Dumplings and Szechwan chicken were well executed, but it was an overall "gringo" interpretation of my favorite dishes from any good authentic Chinese spot. Everything was waaaay too salty and the pacing of our courses was rushed. Save your money and try any number of great authentic Chinese places in Baltimore like NiHao, Kung Fu 12 Szechwan, Red Pepper Bistro or all the good spots in Elliot City. I would give it 4 stars, but given that we paid "Atlas prices," it unfortunately gets 3 stars. read more

Wow it's trend the expensive Chinese food with no rice... order separately. We did. The rice was white and stuck together and the best part ( sadly) of meal. The other trend is the chef cannot apparently season food without the generous use of MSG. Nothing is made to order , all sauces are prepared with msg. The Singapore noodles, the chicken, even the Singapore salad filled with msg. The food AWFUL. No tap water served so forced to order bottled waters. The ambiance at 5:30pm is LOUD. It's popular and don't know why. We would not go back ever. Save your money. read more

Initially, we were seated in the main dining area, but the brown party was quickly moved to a separate room off the main floor. I really love the food at this place, but the hosts are consistently immature and rude. They stare at you like you're bothering them, and as the first faces you see when you walk in, it immediately throws off the experience. Even another guest who walked in after me commented on it and said, "young people are ridiculous." And I'm young myself, so I know there's no excuse for that kind of attitude. A simple, friendly greeting goes a long way, and the lack of basic courtesy at the host stand makes the visit less enjoyable. read more

The space is very nice, the out door terrace was perfect for lunch this afternoon. The ambiance was spot on. That's something they got right! However, The food was just ok. I've had a better version of every single dish we ordered, else where. But, the deserts were spectacular! We got one of each and shared everything at our large table.
