My review is based off a DoorDash delivery which is solely pert to American dishes such as fried chicken wings , shrimp fried rice and a shrimp eggroll. My order was prepared quickly, it was ready to navigate their menu online. The prices and quantity was more than fair. Fried wings were crispy, shrimp fried rice had only 4 shrimp in it, but besides that it had nice flavor. Shrimps egg roll was crispy but the filling lacked substance. Over all I would give this place a 3.8 From the other reviews and pictures I am not sure if I would order there Chinese entree dishes, I would rather stick to the America classic dishes. read more

We ordered this for delivery recently. Prices seem in line with similar spots. I ordered a large wonton soup because I wasn't feeling well and enjoyed it. We ordered two egg rolls; they were average. My bf ordered Hunan beef with fried rice and I ordered chicken lo mein with fried rice. I requested no onion, but was sad to see no other veggies at all. Taste was fine. Not great, not terrible. Overall, this is an average spot; it wouldn't be my first choice, but is okay if you're in the area or it's available for delivery. read more

Good food and at great prices. They will give you alot! This is definitely a hole in the wall spot, but those are many times the places with the best food. I've ordered take-out from here a few times and haven't had any complaints. They can be busy so be prepared for a wait if ordering in person. There's no dining in. Their fried rice is my favorite here. Their fried chicken wings are really good. They charge an extra $2 for mumbo sauce!! read more

I frequently eat from this establishment, usually ordering through Door Dash. The last two times I ordered, I physically went in. Nothing fancy about the location where it stands but inside is clean and easy to get in and out the strip area. The food is always good and service is fast. read more

China wok is the worst place for ribs . The ribs were tough and cold, with tons of nasty sauce. My dog would not even it them.

We decided to try a new Chinese place instead of our usual, and unfortunately we were left disappointed. We ordered delivery, so can't comment on the interior or service. The crab wontons, spring rolls, and dumplings were at best mediocre. The sesame chicken was not good. However, the lo mein side was decent and the cold sesame noodles were not too bad either. We also ordered french fries (my husband was having a craving!) and they arrived sad, soggy, and unseasoned. But we air fried them and then seasoned them with salt and pepper and they were actually quite good. We threw out a decent amount of the food and won't be ordering from here again. However, it is possible that there are some decent things on the menu that we just hadn't found, or maybe we caught them on a bad night. read more

-00000, this was my favorite china wok ... Never had any complaints til tonight, when I say I will NEVERRRRR order here again I mean itttttt!!!! , I order shrimp and broccoli with white rice upon eating my food I realize it was a big a$$ fly on my shrimp then shortly seen another one alive and kicking on the top lid. I called to let them know what had happen and they said "no fly was on the food" then proceeded to hang up on me after I told them I was willingly to bring it back. To not take call serious as this let's me know this company doesn't care about the health and safety of their customers. I will be calling the health department on this place Monday morning. And I will be returning to the store tomorrow morning to raise hell because wtf. Update : I went to the store and thankfully I was refunded. read more

I ordered on DoorDash. I did not mean to order from this China Wok location, as there was one within a mile of my hotel. I did not realize this was about ten miles away until after I placed the order. I started to look at the reviews and I was very nervous because there had been several negative reviews recently. However, my food was great. I got a beef lo mein combination platter. I added pork fried rice and chicken. I also chose a pork egg roll. It was a little dry at first but once I got to the juices it was great. It was jam packed to the brim. I'd definitely eat from this location again. It's not the best Chinese food I've ever had, but it's what you would expect when ordering Chinese food. read more

I used this app to order food. It's been over an hour and I haven't heard anything. At this point, it seems like a scam. It seems the business doesn't care and doesn't know or care anything about 3td parties whom suppose to be working with their business to deliver their product. They want the money but nothing to do with issues that betray the customer and the business. Please anyone be aware and careful. read more

China Wok - China wok entrance - Cantonese Near Me - Baltimore, Maryland

Whenever I order takeout from here, it's usually fast and quick service. I haven't had any terrible experiences per se, and the food has always been pretty good. I normally order Shrimp Fried Rice, Singapore Noodles, Shrimp Egg Foo Young, and Crab Rangoon. There it's much to say on the restaurants decor, it's a very open space. read more

I ordered my food off of door dash. The vegetable spring rolls were soggy, almost wet, and cold. The crab rangoons were straight cream cheese. I had one, and then opened the rest up and dug through them. There is zero distinguishable crab in them, and zero crab flavor. The "crispy orange flavor beef" was none of the above. It was also soggy, completely flavorless, and came in a congealed mess. Quite literally inedible. The fried rice also has zero flavor at all. It doesn't even taste of salt or soy sauce, which is questionable. Would not recommend ordering from here at all read more

China Wok - S4. Crispy Orange Flavor Beef - Cantonese Near Me - Baltimore, Maryland

Had a craving for Chinese food after going a long while without some and decided to try China Wok since it was close by! Went with the general tso and sesame chicken combos, which come with your choice of rice, broccoli, and an egg roll --perfect! I also got the boneless spare rib tips and the crab Rangoon. For starters, delivery was super quick and the order was packed very well. Upon opening everything though I was surprised to see that the eggs rolls were tiny! More so the size of spring rolls, maybe even smaller. They were gone in one bite! Unfortunately, the chicken combos were also a bit of a let down. The sauce tasted good, but the chicken itself were not the best cuts of meat. That gristle and gamey taste can be really unappetizing when you're just trying to dig in! China Wok does give the option of subbing with white meat though for an additional cost, which is a plus if you're willing to pay the $2.50 for it. The meat in the general tso was better than the sesame chicken, but wasn't as saucy as I expected, and the sauce itself wasn't spicy at all! Tasted exactly the same as the sesame, minus the sesame seeds. If I were to order from here again, I'd get it extra spicy and extra saucy with white meat next time to ensure it hits the spot! Aside from that, the rice, rib tips and crab Rangoon were all tasty and I would order these again. Overall, the food here is okay. I'm sure some items on the menu are better than others, but considering I ordered the "old reliables" and had a so-so experience, not sure how adventurous I'd be with my ordering the next time. It's not the best Chinese I've had, but can satisfy your craving in a pinch. The prices are fair (even without the full sized egg roll, womp womp) and delivery was quick. If you're on the fence but NEED Chinese food now, give them a try! Just make sure to use those "extras" to adjust your order as you like. I know I will next time! read more

China Wok - General Tso Chicken Combo - Cantonese Near Me - Baltimore, Maryland

I've ordered from this location many times throughout the years. The food has always been "mid" at best. However , recently it has declined significantly. The food not only taste old and stale but it literally SMELLS bad. The rice and noodles have a very distinctive dirty mop water smell to them. It may be the packaging or their supplies when handling the food but it's very off putting. Lo mein is consistently dry and ratios of meat to side are always wayyyy off. Wontons have no crab meat at all or crab taste. In fact there is an odd color to theirs with what I would suggest old cream cheese. I would suggest you find another Chinese spot to visit. This one is purely disgusting now. read more

Decent Chinese delivery. Though be careful- when picking add one they auto fill "boiled egg" for $2 and some change. Scroll down and ask for extra sauce for free! read more

Awww, I was so hopeful and excited. Where I live in California it is virtually impossible to find General Tso's Chicken on a takeout restaurant's menu. They have a lot of sweet & sour or orange chicken, but no General Tso's. So when I realized there was a Chinese takeout joint around the corner from my apt, I had to try it. While the fried rice part of the meal was fine, the broccoli tasted freezer burned and the sauce, while red, didn't really taste like anything. No sweetness. No spice. No nothing. The chicken also tasted old like it was out of a bag of pre-battered chicken bits. Picking through the chicken pieces didn't get any better. Just a sad experience. So, yeah, when other people say avoid that particular meal, trust them. I should have. read more

Placed online order at 4:43 pm. China wok dld NOT deliver the food that was Pre- paid. Just called back and the male answering the phone was VERY RUDE and didn't want to listen to our complaint. Just really good, classic Chinese food (which surprisingly in Baltimore is hard to find). Due to their super low prices, I was expecting super low quality, but I was pleasantly surprised that the food was actually great! First, the delivery took no time at all during the lunch rush which I was very happy about. Second, the lunch special portions were huge - pretty much the same as the dinner special just minus the egg roll. Third, the flavor was great, food was high quality, and it wasn't overly greasy. The sesame chicken had a great flavor and had lots of sauce. The fried rice was the classic brown style (not the bright yellow kind which I hate). The dumplings weren't the best I've ever had but pretty good for less than $5 (the spicy oil/sauce it came with was an interesting but good twist). The wonton soup was also standard with 4 wontons to a small order. The crackers were stale but that's pretty much typical for all Chinese places around here. Overall this will become my new staple for ordering Chinese delivery! I love the prices, flavors, and fast arrival. (Ps. Thank you for not using styrofoam!) (Pss. To the negative reviews: who goes to a Chinese place to get chicken wings? Stick with the classics people.) read more

Do not order from here. They are racist, without management, and do not accomodate allergies, they are very dirty inside, and the entire establishment smells like human fecal matter... if you care about hygeine stay clear. There are rats outide in broad daylight. This is a plague trap. BBB and Baltimore need to take action. I reccommend a fullworkup at your dr. After stepping anywhere near this toxic shthole. read more

China Wok is everything you need from a Chinese carry out. It's affordable, delicious, and generously portioned. Before this gem, I'd had a string of horrible Chinese food experiences. Baltimore does a lot of great cuisine right, but I hadn't found what I consider to be "good" Chinese food. Thankfully, a roommate shared China Wok after hearing my complaints. She raved about their Lo Mein; she was right - it was GOOD. I LOVE the egg fu; my partner loves their chicken dishes. Right now, I can't think of a dish I've had from China Wok that I haven't enjoyed. Oh! The hot and sour soup tastes good too! It scratches the itch, well! Love China Wok. read more

I really like this place for my Chinese takeout fix. I've come here a few times since I moved to Baltimore and I have yet to be disappointed. I really like the bourbon chicken, and their general tso's isn't half bad. What I really love about this place is that their dinner specials are only $8.50 and come with pork fried rice with no upcharge, and an egg roll! Both their veggie and meat egg rolls are delicious and the pork they put in the fried rice is BBQ pork, another favorite of mine. For the value and the taste that I get here, I keep coming back. The portion sizes are pretty big, about enough for 1.5 meals for me. They only have 2 small tables inside, so be prepared to call ahead and get your food to go. It looks pretty run down, but the magic happens behind the counter in a kitchen that is surprisingly big. I've even ordered delivery from here through doordash. Usually, however, I'll just head on over myself to pick it up. I'll definitely be back soon! read more

China Wok - Nasty wings and shrimp fried rice - Cantonese Near Me - Baltimore, Maryland

We ordered delivery through Yelp's app. We ordered Pork Wontons, Hot and Sour Soup, Pork Lo Mein and General Tso's Chicken. Delivery was quick and everything was hot. That's about all that was good. The wontons were undercooked and still chewy, not crisp. They provided a large container of duck sauce but it was pretty watered down and had barely any flavor. The Hot and Sour soup tasted more like a peppery meat broth than like the traditional Hot and Sour flavor, it wasn't sour at all. It didn't have any Wood Ear mushy, just Shiitake. The Pork Lo Mein came in a container the same size as the rice which was tiny, the smallest Chinese carton size available. It tasted okay but there wasn't much pork. The General Tso's wasn't spicy at all and not very flavorful. There wasn't a spicy red pepper in sight and it had four very small broccoli pieces, no onions or peppers. Overall for the price it was as poor value for the price. I'll find somewhere else to eat next time. read more

Ordered from this spot because it kept popping up on Postmates. This place is a damn joke. $12 for "orange chicken" that doesn't even look like chicken and barely tastes of orange. The chicken pieces either had some weird gristle in them or they were full of mush. Then the shrimp egg roll I got had two shrimp in it, both of which tastes old. I'm soooo disappointed; there's nothing worse than paying for shitty food. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM. read more

First time trying out this place. The Spring rolls were good. The chicken wings were average. The cheese steak egg rolls had a very bad taste and I couldn't eat them. The pork egg roll, which was ordered on accident wouldn't be ordered again. The boneless BBQ ribs were tough and could have used more sauce. Steamed dumplings had a very thick noodle and we couldn't eat them. They should be just enough noodle to hold everything together. read more

Classic Chinese takeout. Cheap and hits the spot. Is it the best Chinese in the world? No, but it's not trying to be. Prices are unbeatable. The dinner combos, which are your classic Chinese mainstays with fried rice and an egg roll, are all under $9. It's a $1 upgrade for pork fried rice which is nice. Portions are huge. They also have bourbon chicken, which I love, but you can't find at every Chinese place. I will definitely return. read more

Nothing fancy, nothing awful...friendly staff, good American Chinese food. Service was fast...which is great. I was on my way to play a shot with my band at The Depot (nearby) and I hadn't eaten lunch and was craving Chinese food...found this place on Yelp and figured I'd give it a try. I was not disappointed! My chicken & broccoli order was done in less than 10 minutes - I watched them cook it, even. The food was actually good, the price was what I'd expect to pay (though I forgot to check in - there is a $2 off chef's special - could've had General Tso's for the same price) and the people working there were really nice. All-in-all, I would say this place is a good place to go...I'd go back when in the area for sure...but next time I'm using my check-in offer! read more

Ordered via Postmates. Kung Pao Chicken was good. Could have used a bit more chicken. Pork egg rolls were tasty. Food was hpt when it arrived. The half and half tea was good too, and arrived cold. I was staying at the Baltimore harbor for a little getaway and I ordered for the first time using door Dash. The Chinese food was disgusting. General Tso's chicken sauce taste like ketchup and honey. I order here through door dash the food was so nasty most of it ended up in the trash the general tso chicken was drowned in sauce and the pieces of chicken tasted far from chicken like the scraps of chicken the the sauce it was in was uncomfortably spicy I know it's supposed to be a spicy dish but it taste like they just took a bottle of cheap hot sauce and pour it all on my food the Lo mein had a weird texture to it like a gummy consistency and it had no taste and dry only good thing was the crab Wontons and the bottle of deer park water the food gave me a stomachache that last for a few days never again read more

When they botch the order they told me not to worry about it, but I did not eat that day

Absolutely deserves 5 stars, far faster delivery than I expected, and they have the good egg rolls, and everything else I ordered was decent or better: the fried wontons were delicious and savory, the general tsos chicken was tastefully spicy and not drowned in syrup, the wonton soup was generous and filling. My sibling said there were no good Chinese places around them but I happily proved them wrong. read more

I LOVE this spot! GREAT food for the price and large portions. We have been getting food from this place in COVID because they're on DoorDash and usually have free delivery, which is helpful for us.
