Ok went here again at begging request of oot friends who are big lovers of cocktails and Chinese food. They wanted first to sit at bar It was weekend stomping energy The place loud and jumping. A very nice guy capably handled the drink order, but added a ingredient not requested. ( cannot believe it , like corner pantry guy with Jesus rap) This young bar tender started on GOD and Jesus and demons. I'm not sure what button my friend J hit but this kid was ON He even acted like it was a mission. Finally got a chance to come here for my birthday and it definitely lived up to the hype. The best part was the service from our waiter Kei made the experience memorable. He was friendly and attentive all night. He gave some great recommendations for drinks as well as food items. I had a fortune envelope cocktail with bourbon. You can also get to wit gun instead if that's your preference. For an appetizer we had shrimp spring rolls and crab Rangoon. Bothe were delicious. For my entree I went with the fiery lamb chops. They came out still on fire. I also had a side of chicken fried rice. I was out celebrating my birthday and Kei made sure everyone enjoyed themselves. read more

My daughter and I have been wanting to try this place for a while! We were not disappointed. From the minute you walk in, you can see how much thought they put into the decor and making your experience a great one! Our server was attentive and came back at just the right time! We decided to share so we could try multiple options. At the recommendation of our server, we tried the soup dumplings. What a fun experience! The table next to us had hoisin chicken, lettuce wraps that looked amazing so we decided to try them as well! They had a sweet note, almost like cherry, but they were absolutely perfection. Nine Tailed Fox is like a mini "Din Tai Fung" "dupe" and was worth all the hype. If there is one thing about me, it is that at Chinese restaurants, I LOVE to order a lot (maybe too much) from the menu. Everything we ordered was delicious, especially the chicken xiao long bao and the orange chicken. The flavors were incredible. The restaurant was very nice and the service here was great, I just wasn't overly impressed with all the food. I would say my favorites were the xiao long bao and potstickers. Really nice broth inside the bao and great flavor. The pot stickers were pan fried so you got a nice texture and crunch to it as well. The noodle dish was ok but wasn't a fan of the orange chicken. There was too much batter and you didn't really get much chicken in each piece. Was deeply disappointed with the chocolate xiao long bao. I was in the Baltimore area for work. One of my friends reserved this place for dinner. I hadn't Chinese food in the area so I was excited to try it out. As we walked in we noticed that the restaurant so full on a Wednesday evening. I am so glad my friend made the reservation. We had to wait 10 minutes to get our tables ready. Ambiance is 10/10. Our server was great as well. She recommended some of her favorites from the menu. We ordered hot and sour soup, crispy shrimp and chilly wontons. They were all delicious. Chilly wontons were our favorite. She recommended I try fiery lamb for my entree. Absolutely loved it. It comes flaming hot. The lamb was perfectly cooked. Nice and tender. So flavorful as well. I highly recommend this place and definitely try the fiery lamb. read more

I saw this new Chinese restaurant opened up in village crossing and finally paid a visit I will start with pros : food is amazing. And ambience is great. Cons: service was the worse i have experienced in years. No one ever asked us for any drinks or food order. I flagged bartenders couple times. Everyone was super nice but useless. To say the least. Food was 11/10. Hot and four soup. Delicious. Wedge salad good. Cucumber salad delicious. Shrimp fried rice not a big portion. Very fresh and tasty and well seasoned. Aesthetically, this place is beautiful! Everyone was very friendly! The food was good. It's family style and they don't have a kids menu which was a bummer for our 4 year old. He did end up eating the food we ordered and then unfortunately, he had an upset stomach later in the evening. There's a variety of meal options and some beer/alcohol, although the options are a bit limited. Plenty of seating both inside and out and free parking. Ate here again with some friends. The food was still great. Had the Lychee martini and Sweep the Leg drinks. Both were great. My husband tried the whole fried rockfish this time which he loved. I had the duck again. Also had vegetable fried rice and sweet and sour chicken. This time we also walked in again, without a reservation and were able to get a table right away, with no wait. We were seated upstairs and outside again which was great because it was a sunny, beautiful day. They didn't seem that busy. We visited this restaurant on a Saturday with 3:45pm reservations. When we arrived, we were greeted and seated immediately. The main dining area was dimly lit and the entire restaurant had nice ambiance. Several tables were occupied but the rested not busy. Our waitress arrived shortly after we were seated, provided some recommendations, and informed us that the food would arrive as it was ready (I.e., everything might not arrive at the same time). We started with the Way of the Dragon (cocktail) and Hot and Sour soup. Both were good. Lucky for us, all of our food arrived at the same time (and quickly). We had black pepper beef (a house special), which tasted great; vegetable fried rice; and stir fried garlic pea sprouts. We were not sure what to expect with the pea sprouts but when they arrived they looked like spinach and they tasted amazing!! The bathrooms are individual. They were clean and had the same dim lighting that were in the dining areas. I was nosy so I went upstairs to see the large bar area. Lots of natural lighting and you can see the rooftop dining spaces (which were currently closed because it's winter). I will definitely return to try other dishes here. read more

I came here for my son's 21st birthday. We decided to sit upstairs at the bar. The decor is beautiful. They also have an outdoor seating area as well. For our appetizer we tried the Hot & Sour Soup, Wings and the Chili Wontons. We tried a few really good cocktails as well. And they also have a non alcohol drink from Tost that was really refreshing. The food for happy hour is smaller portions, but that's all you need. And the main menu is ala carte. Our bartenders were super cool and helped us navigate the menu and have great suggestions. We arrived about 20 minutes early and were asked to wait until our exact reservation time to allow the server time to "catch up" on tables. From the entryway it did not appear that anyone was in the restaurant. However, after we strolled the holiday bazaar outside and returned at our exact reservation time when we turned the corner there was a lovely dining room filled with guests. The menu offers traditional and fusion Chinese cuisine. I had the chicken and shrimp shumai and half duck. My mom enjoyed the vegetable fried rice and Chilean sea bass and for dessert the strawberry cloud. We also tried cocktails that were enjoyable. I recommend the black pepper beef & fried rice. The rice was fluffy & the beef was tender. Our waitress went missing a few times, which resulted in us being in the restaurant longer than usual. I was so excited to try this new restaurant! Came with my girlfriends on a Wednesday night and honestly, I'm glad we made a reservation. It was packed even on a weekday. The ambience is stunning but it does get very loud and made it hard to enjoy a conversation. Food was above average. We really enjoyed the appetizers/dim sum. The hot sour soup, the Singapore street slaw salad, the chicken chili wontons and mushroom spring rolls were EXCELLENT!!! The main course dishes were average - general tso's chicken, chow mein with chicken, seafood fried rice and okra and eggplant stir fry. For dessert, we shared the custard and the cloud cake. I think I was already too full to truly enjoy dessert. Definitely will be coming back but will try more of the dim sum! read more

I must say I was really hoping for more, there were things I liked & things I disliked, I'll start with the pros : I loved the idea of Asian Fork-lore as the theme "Nine Tailed Fox", the ambiance and decor was very pretty, from the dim lighting throughout the restaurant, the plants , the outside courtyard and the unique eating booths ! The menu wasn't overwhelming which made it easier for me to make a selection. The flaming lamb chops were really good followed by the halibut was cooked wonderfully! The long stairwell is an added touch of aesthetic! The drinks were pretty good and our server was awesome ! Great location and free parking. Cons: entrees did not come with side orders, Nine tailed Fox seemed like it was used merely for a title and not because of its culture which would've been nice. There was no consistency in dress code, it presents as an upscale restaurant but then there are people dressed inappropriately and not in way indicative that suggests "upscale". Nine tail fox had been on my list to visit for some time. So glad I finally made it! The pictures online don't even do it justice. Such a beautiful restaurant! I didn't realize they had a happy hour, as so many times atlas restaurants will only have one temporarily. There never seemed to have any issues with seating. The drinks were good! I had some prosecco and then saw the purple pineapple drink and was intrigued. The bartender said it tastes slightly like a pina colada and I was sold. Currently in Baltimore visiting for a wedding, however last night I was able to get some dinner with some close friends who live out here. My best friend recommended Nine Tailed Fox and OMG!! The photos did not do this place justice, the building is amazing and in a beautiful area! The service was phenomenal! Everyone was nice and genuinely caring! Huge plus for me and we didn't even take our seats yet! Our food was phenomenal! I had the Shrimp Chew Mein, Orange Chicken, and broccoli! My friends had chicken & veggie stir fry and Feiry Lamb chops! We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. When I come back to Baltimore, this will be my first stop! This is a hard one. It's between 3.5 - 4 stars...guess I have to round up. We were seated promptly at our reservation time. Service was just ok. While our food came quickly, we waited on a few dishes well beyond time and a dish that we didn't order, was delivered to our table. We tried the chicken wings, general tso chicken, crab rangoon, Chilean sea bass, Salt & Pepper Prawns, and chow mein noodles. My favorite dish was the crab rangoon! It was amazing. You can actually taste the bits of crab. It was seasoned well, soft on the inside, but crunchy on the outside. The chow mein noodles were really good as well. I wouldn't get the sea bass again as the spice wasn't there. Another favorite of mine were the salt & pepper prawns. The property itself is beautiful. The outside terrace is spacious. I showed up to my Sunday 2PM reservation and was asked if I preferred indoor or outdoor seating. A woman had just come from her outdoor seating & informed the host that no server had stopped by yet. Um, indoor me please. The host said there were only two servers indoor and she didn't want to overwhelm them. Bar seating was also available. So you either want me to go outside where it's hot and there's no server OR walk upstairs to the bar (which I have no reason to as I wouldn't be ordering drinks) because you don't want to overwhelm your two servers? Girl. Show me to my seat. IN THIS EMPTY RESTAURANT. Friends, the place was empty. Maybe 5 tables had patrons. The restaurant is huge so this shouldn't be overwhelming. Anyway, my service was great. I ordered the vegetable fried rice with chicken, cucumber salad, shrimp balls, and chicken wontons. Everything tasted great. Rice was DECENT. It lacked flavor until I poured soy sauce over it. My homegirl said the same for her fried rice with beef. I ordered the fried rice with shrimp, chicken, and beef to go for my husband. He liked it but only after adding soy sauce. Highlights here are the decorations and the eggplant okra dish and the sweet and sour sauce. 3.5, but rounding down for annoying service and inconsistent food. I get that this restaurant is new, and it's always really hard to judge a place right after they open. I think the decoration here is my favorite of all of the Atlas restaurant groups. I really love this deep rich green. I went here for lunch and was shocked to find out that they don't have a separate lunch menu. Everything is the same as their dinner service. I had gotten a lot of feedback that the cocktails here were not very good and it was lunch so we did not drink. We started out the meal with the cucumber salad and I should've listened to my gut and not ordered it because it's hard to do this right, and it was nine dollars for maybe half of a cucumber. I also have expected it to be a smashed cucumber, but it was just cut. That said, do not sleep on their side vegetable dishes. The okra eggplant was the best Asian vegetable dish I have eaten probably this year, and I am still thinking about it. I also as a note really like it when restaurants incorporate local ingredients like the rockfish, which is the state fish of Maryland and there's two preparations of it. I was sad. I didn't get the Szechuan one. The noodles were a big miss for me and the fish was also a miss. There was a big chunk of bone in it, and it was fillet so we did talk to the GM, and he was gracious and offered us complementary dessert. I will say that sweet-and-sour sauce was probably also the best that I've had in Baltimore. Their house made chili crisp oil is also very good. Listen it's an Atlas group, so there's already a lot of biases that come with that but ultimately the service was a little lackluster and the dishes were inconsistent, but I would probably do takeout in the future really only for that delicious Vegetable dish. read more

Went here for my birthday shortly after their grand opening. Atlas Restaurant Group always delivers on design, and this new Chinese spot is no exception--the space is stunning, modern, and luxurious inside and out. The grand entrance, beautiful outdoor area, and spacious rooftop bar really set the vibe. Service was friendly and attentive. We ordered the crab & sweetcorn soup, stir-fried garlic pea sprouts, truffled beef fried rice, and Peking duck. Overall, the flavors were solid and we enjoyed our meal. A couple of critiques: the fried rice's white rice tasted a bit too old, and the truffle flavor was faint. The Peking duck was the biggest miss--fat wasn't properly rendered, skin wasn't as crisp as it should be, and the meat wasn't separated from the skin. I also tried to order the Cantonese-style whole lobster, but they didn't have it, which was disappointing. I didn't have high expectations - how fancy can you get with general tsos and crab wontons - but they proved me wrong. This place feels intimate, and the food is delicious.
