My girlfriend brought me here for my birthday. It was my first time at this restaurant so i was unsure of how i would like the food. Adam was our server and he was amazing! He gave us great recommendations like the singapore noodles or the chow mein. Hes also a bartender and he made us the best old fashioned i've had and an amazing martini. Currently in Baltimore visiting for a wedding, however last night I was able to get some dinner with some close friends who live out here. My best friend recommended Nine Tailed Fox and OMG!! The photos did not do this place justice, the building is amazing and in a beautiful area! The service was phenomenal! Everyone was nice and genuinely caring! Huge plus for me and we didn't even take our seats yet! Our food was phenomenal! I had the Shrimp Chew Mein, Orange Chicken, and broccoli! My friends had chicken & veggie stir fry and Feiry Lamb chops! We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. When I come back to Baltimore, this will be my first stop! I was in the Baltimore area for work. One of my friends reserved this place for dinner. I hadn't Chinese food in the area so I was excited to try it out. As we walked in we noticed that the restaurant so full on a Wednesday evening. I am so glad my friend made the reservation. We had to wait 10 minutes to get our tables ready. Ambiance is 10/10. Our server was great as well. She recommended some of her favorites from the menu. We ordered hot and sour soup, crispy shrimp and chilly wontons. They were all delicious. Nine tail fox had been on my list to visit for some time. So glad I finally made it! The pictures online don't even do it justice. Such a beautiful restaurant! I didn't realize they had a happy hour, as so many times atlas restaurants will only have one temporarily. There never seemed to have any issues with seating. The drinks were good! I had some prosecco and then saw the purple pineapple drink and was intrigued. The bartender said it tastes slightly like a pina colada and I was sold. I saw this new Chinese restaurant opened up in village crossing and finally paid a visit I will start with pros : food is amazing. And ambience is great. Cons: service was the worse i have experienced in years. No one ever asked us for any drinks or food order. I flagged bartenders couple times. Everyone was super nice but useless. To say the least. We visited this restaurant on a Saturday with 3:45pm reservations. When we arrived, we were greeted and seated immediately. The main dining area was dimly lit and the entire restaurant had nice ambiance. Several tables were occupied but the rested not busy. Our waitress arrived shortly after we were seated, provided some recommendations, and informed us that the food would arrive as it was ready (I.e., everything might not arrive at the same time). We started with the Way of the Dragon (cocktail) and Hot and Sour soup. Both were good. Lucky for us, all of our food arrived at the same time (and quickly). We had black pepper beef (a house special), which tasted great; vegetable fried rice; and stir fried garlic pea sprouts. We were not sure what to expect with the pea sprouts but when they arrived they looked like spinach and they tasted amazing!! The bathrooms are individual. They were clean and had the same dim lighting that were in the dining areas. I was nosy so I went upstairs to see the large bar area. I came here for lunch with a girlfriend and Im so happy that I did. A few thing I pay attention to on first time visits are ambiance, noise level, and the vibe of the hostess, greeter when I first come in. We arrived about 20 minutes early and were asked to wait until our exact reservation time to allow the server time to "catch up" on tables. From the entryway it did not appear that anyone was in the restaurant. However, after we strolled the holiday bazaar outside and returned at our exact reservation time when we turned the corner there was a lovely dining room filled with guests. The menu offers traditional and fusion Chinese cuisine. I had the chicken and shrimp shumai and half duck. My mom enjoyed the vegetable fried rice and Chilean sea bass and for dessert the strawberry cloud. We also tried cocktails that were enjoyable. I was so excited to try this new restaurant! Came with my girlfriends on a Wednesday night and honestly, I'm glad we made a reservation. It was packed even on a weekday. The ambience is stunning but it does get very loud and made it hard to enjoy a conversation. Food was above average. We really enjoyed the appetizers/dim sum. The hot sour soup, the Singapore street slaw salad, the chicken chili wontons and mushroom spring rolls were EXCELLENT!!! Was very excited to try this restaurant, after seeing the menu online. However, I did not have the opportunity to. Walked in and asked for availability for bar seating for one. I was told that the second floor bar was closed for a full buy out , but the first floor bar was open. I grabbed a seat and noticed two other people waiting to be helped. I must say I was really hoping for more, there were things I liked & things I disliked, I'll start with the pros : I loved the idea of Asian Fork-lore as the theme "Nine Tailed Fox", the ambiance and decor was very pretty, from the dim lighting throughout the restaurant, the plants , the outside courtyard and the unique eating booths ! The menu wasn't overwhelming which made it easier for me to make a selection. The flaming lamb chops were really good followed by the halibut was cooked wonderfully! I didn't have high expectations - how fancy can you get with general tsos and crab wontons - but they proved me wrong. This place feels intimate, and the food is delicious. While our food came quickly, we waited on a few dishes well beyond time and a dish that we didn't order, was delivered to our table. We tried the chicken wings, general tso chicken, crab rangoon, Chilean sea bass, Salt & Pepper Prawns, and chow mein noodles. My favorite dish was the crab rangoon! It was amazing. You can actually taste the bits of crab. It was seasoned well, soft on the inside, but crunchy on the outside. The chow mein noodles were really good as well. I wouldn't get the sea bass again as the spice wasn't there. Another favorite of mine were the salt & pepper prawns. The property itself is beautiful. The outside terrace is spacious. I showed up to my Sunday 2PM reservation and was asked if I preferred indoor or outdoor seating. A woman had just come from her outdoor seating & informed the host that no server had stopped by yet. Um, indoor me please. The host said there were only two servers indoor and she didn't want to overwhelm them. Bar seating was also available. So you either want me to go outside where it's hot and there's no server OR walk upstairs to the bar (which I have no reason to as I wouldn't be ordering drinks) because you don't want to overwhelm your two servers? Girl. Show me to my seat. IN THIS EMPTY RESTAURANT. Friends, the place was empty. Maybe 5 tables had patrons. The restaurant is huge so this shouldn't be overwhelming. Anyway, my service was great. I ordered the vegetable fried rice with chicken, cucumber salad, shrimp balls, and chicken wontons. Everything tasted great. Rice was DECENT. It lacked flavor until I poured soy sauce over it. Highlights here are the decorations and the eggplant okra dish and the sweet and sour sauce. 3.5, but rounding down for annoying service and inconsistent food. I get that this restaurant is new, and it's always really hard to judge a place right after they open. I think the decoration here is my favorite of all of the Atlas restaurant groups. I really love this deep rich green. I went here for lunch and was shocked to find out that they don't have a separate lunch menu. Everything is the same as their dinner service. I had gotten a lot of feedback that the cocktails here were not very good and it was lunch so we did not drink. We started out the meal with the cucumber salad and I should've listened to my gut and not ordered it because it's hard to do this right, and it was nine dollars for maybe half of a cucumber. I also have expected it to be a smashed cucumber, but it was just cut. That said, do not sleep on their side vegetable dishes. The okra eggplant was the best Asian vegetable dish I have eaten probably this year, and I am still thinking about it. I also as a note really like it when restaurants incorporate local ingredients like the rockfish, which is the state fish of Maryland and there's two preparations of it. I was sad. I didn't get the Szechuan one. The noodles were a big miss for me and the fish was also a miss. There was a big chunk of bone in it, and it was fillet so we did talk to the GM, and he was gracious and offered us complementary dessert. I will say that sweet-and-sour sauce was probably also the best that I've had in Baltimore. Their house made chili crisp oil is also very good. Listen it's an Atlas group, so there's already a lot of biases that come with that but ultimately the service was a little lackluster and the dishes were inconsistent, but I would probably do takeout in the future really only for that delicious Vegetable dish. read more

The Peking duck was the biggest miss--fat wasn't properly rendered, skin wasn't as crisp as it should be, and the meat wasn't separated from the skin. This is easily the weakest Atlas restaurant in Baltimore. I wanted to like it based on the location and gorgeous decor but the service and food fell so flat. I have been trying to get to Nine Tailed Fox for a while. Finally made it and it did not disappoint. The set up inside is very cozy and inviting. Lots of detail in the interior from the seating to the artwork on the walls. Our server was so attentive and engaging. He gave us lots of recommendations and suggestions on things we wanted to order. He checked in often and made sure we had everything we needed. Even letting us know if the bar was backed up and helping us to order around the hustle and bustle of the busy night to make sure the food and drinks came out in a timely manner. Butch, the GM, checked in on us, took some constructive feedback and also walked us out at the end of the evening and shared some of the history of the place, the area, so forth. Great guy.
