What sort of business blames the customer for THEIR mistake!? I showed a picture of exactly what I wanted, and after 2 hours, she then realized she did it wrong! When I pointed it out, they said it was too late and there's nothing they could do about it. That would've been fine, but then the person who did my nails (who couldn't speak English) called the manager and someone else, then they all yelled at me. The nails are one thing, and I would've moved on if they were polite, but the customer service was just rude and awful. If you're looking for a friendly service for your service, this isn't the place to go. read more

Unfortunately my original review was based on my experience when the owner wasn't there. I needed to update my review after coming here 3 times. I've completely changed my mind about this place and DON'T RECOMMEND IT. I've done a complete 360 after my last and final visit. The first time I came here I had a Full set of nails put on, I can't remember the girls name. I returned for a second manicure with a fill and gel polish with a very simple design. I was charged $45. I went back a 3rd time to Roxy again and this time the owner was there. She wasn't very nice and as a matter of fact she was EXTREMELY RUDE to me and to Roxy. She was so UNPROFESSIONAL. This woman completely humiliated and talked down to Roxy In front of me and the other patrons. She didn't even pull her aside. The entire salon heard everything. I couldn't believe she acted like this. Roxy got upset and apologized to me she's very sweet. The owner walked out of the salon and I mentioned what took place to the Spanish woman at the front desk. She agreed, that the owner was rude, but it seems to a pattern after reading some of the other Yelp reviews. The owner didn't know that this was my 3rd time in her salon. She tried to over charge me $15 thinking I was stupid, and didn't know their prices. I explained to the owner that I had a full set put on at my 1st visit and a gel polish with a simple design. I explained that the original girl did it incorrectly. Two of my nails were put on crooked, and I just wanted them fixed which Roxy did. The owner kept complaining to Roxy. I said to the owner again that I shouldn't be charged because it was done incorrectly, and it should be comped.I did expect to pay for the manicure and simple design. The majority of nail salons stand behind their work, especially if it's done wrong. Other salons would fix it for FREE. When I mentioned this to the owner again she got very snippet. She tried to nickel and dime me because I was new. (If you do decide to get your nails done here you better ask prices before you even start every single time to make sure that they don't change, also be careful who you pick to get your nails done by not everyone is experienced.) This was not my first rodeo.I've never ever heard of being charged to trim your nails during a manicure or pedicure because that's part of a basic manicure/ pedi including when you get a fill. . She wanted to charge me $60 dollars. I spent $50. It's a shame because Roxy does nice work but the salon is horrible. It runs smooth when the owner is not there. When she's there it's a nightmare. How many other people has she overcharged because they don't know any better? There are so many good salons out there who really take care of their customers, this place is not one of them. read more

Customer service started out well. I was able to walk in and it wasn't long before I was seen. My french pedi is nice, the french mani is growing on me. The nail tech, Olga, got an attitude with me because she originally did a very thin french line which showed all of my real nails. That's not what I wanted. Why get nasty when I'm just telling you what I want and paying for? I assume it was the owner who finished my nails and not her. My aunt warned me about this place, but I wanted to support a local business. Smh read more

I went to the Spa for a gel manicure. The young lady who did my manicure kept snipping my cuticles too close and never stopped to say she was sorry. I was trying to tell her to be careful but she never spoke back. I found out she was watching something on her iPhone and had ear buds in so she never heard a word I said! The charge was $50! I asked why and she said $45 for the manicure and $5 to file them. I had asked to cut them a tiny bit. Very expensive and not worth it! read more

I went in on an early Friday afternoon (~2:30pm) and they weren't very busy so I didn't wait more than 3 minutes to get serviced. I started by getting a "spa pedicure" which was the worse I've ever gotten. The lady rushed through the whole thing and didn't massage at all. She practically just rubbed the lotions lightly and that was it. This is the first time I felt like my feet weren't clean after getting a pedicure. I then proceeded to get my nails done (picture provided). I got acrylic tips and the lady glued the nail halfway up my nailbed and didn't ensure that it was glued all the way. The acrylic was also applied way too thick which she didn't fix after I asked for thinner. The photos show how there's a gap between my actual nail and the tips. She also left blobs of acrylic underneath my nails and didn't paint the tip of the nail. Overall it cost my $78 for crappy work. The place was quite clean which is why I'm giving it a 2 star instead of 1. read more

Great place!! I am very picky especially when it comes to nail places. Mostly because of hygiene. This place is GREAT. They are very clean. They dont skip steps. Which many places tend to do, when they are busy. But not here... It's also very beautiful. I originally went for a pedicure which I dragged my husband to get one too, he doesnt like pedicures because he doesn't feel places are clean, but here he felt comfortable getting one. When I saw that they did such an amazing job. Decided to stay longer for a manicure. I highly recommend this place. read more

Very cute salon, you can tell the place is new, and it's also very clean. I scheduled my appointment last minute at about 5:30pm on a Wednesday for a pink gel full set. What's great about this salon is that despite its location on North Avenue, there is a huge parking lot, so you don't have to worry about street parking. As soon as I arrived, I did have to wait about 5-10 minutes before someone actually started on my nails, but I didn't mind since I made the appointment just 30 minutes before. Nick was my nail tech and although he didn't talk much, he took his time on my nails to make sure everything was perfect, which I appreciated. I was in by 6pm, and I didn't leave until 7:30pm, BUT I am extremely happy with how my nails came out! Nancy, who I think is the owner, was very friendly, and I even received a holiday gift bag at the end of my service. Super friendly staff, excellent service, I don't have any complaints so far, and I plan on returning for my fill in. read more

I was charged $85 for a new set when I asked the receptionist why I was charged this much money she said a full set $55 and the design I got was $30 I proceeded to tell her that I did not get a design the technician attempted to do the design and was unable to do so when I asked her why am I getting charge for the design she said that because she tried to do the design I was still getting charged mind you that design was only on two of my fingers, I believe she saw me getting frustrated and she went back to the nail technician don't know what was said but she came back and told me everything would be $75 because I just wanted to leave and not argue I decided to just pay it unfortunately this is so out of my character I did not leave her tip because I did not like my nails at all. Also halfway while doing my nails she stopped abruptly and started skimming through a food menu I get it it might be your lunchtime but really ? Mid filing ? And after I kindly told her to remove the design she gave me attitude and painted my nails ridiculously, she was not welcome at all and you already got the vibe that she hated her job. will not return. read more

Pedicure was way too thick, probably about 4 coats including the top coat instead of the usual 2 polishes and 1 clear coat. Fill in was horrible!!!!! Had about 5 nails lifting and the woman pretended as if she didn't notice, I had to ask her to repair the lifting nails?! She was very unskilled, my acrylic was uneven and the stiletto shaping was horrible!! I had to switch to a new manicurist because her job was so bad and she caught an attitude when I corrected her. The new manicurist looked at me like I had 4 heads when I declined gel polish on my nails, because I only find it useful on my toes. Then he proceeded to tell me, I could not get a design on regular polish only with a gel polish set, which I've never heard a day in my life. Needless to say, I won't be returning. After complaining, the receptionist recommended that I book an appointment with the owner, Nancy, next time so if you're reading this you might want to book Nancy. Update: it's been about two weeks and I am soaking off my nails after 3 have broken off or cracked.. the acrylic is goey and hard to remove which is a tell tale indication that this shop is using MMA acrylic read more

I've gone here twice. My first time, two days later my nails had chipped. I called and the manager told me to come in to repair it. They said they guarantee their nails for up to 10 days after initial service. I went back in and the same thing happened. I would have loved for this to be my new nail place but after my nails breaking back to back and them not taking appointments on the weekends I don't think it's feasible for me. The only reason I gave 3 stars is because they fixed it without charging me. read more

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Went today 6/19 i had an appointment at 10 they call me at 940 that the girl called put which is not a problem. I come back at 11 for a fill . KIM does my fill, she used the wrong color acrylic and files so much that it doesnt even look like she did anything to begin with. The OWNER then says shell fix my nails. All she had to do was fill in the gaps that kim left. She then applies the thickest coat of acrylic on ALL OF MY NAILS . After she does one hand I tell her i am not happy as some of them already look like they are going to pop off because she went over my cuticle. I told her just please do the other hand and put a clear coat so I can go. She told me " if i dont like it i can leave and stop wasting her time, she already tried to fix them and I wasting her time" I am absolutely disgusted to be treated this way because they did a bad job and I complained. read more

They're so unprofessional. It's never a smart idea to talk about customers and definitely not professional to talk about them in your native language ASSUMING they don't understand. There was nothing that I requested "asking for too much" I do not recommend this salon for their professionalism. They are not professional if they talk about you to their peers in their language because of a requests or questions you have. A lot of customers will never know they're being talked about. And that's what they assumed of me. When I went back to ask if there was a problem, the front desk lady said no not at all, but the lady I will assume is the owner or manager, she was talking shit. And I heard it. read more

I have been here twice first time was probably about 2 months ago. I went in for a pedicure and also got dip powder. I had called ahead and spoke to Betsy 2ho was very pleasant and friendly. Pedicure: The service was very nice, i felt all cuticles were removed and polish was great. A normal pedi for me will last a month, polish wise... this chipped in 4 days. I thought maybe was a fluke. My second visit same experience with chipping. Maybe the product is cheap who knows but it did not last for me on two occasions. So unfortunately i wouldn't return unless its winter and maybe I'll just get clear, cause they really do a nice job on the actual pedicure. Dip powder: I like this dip powder although I will say I have the exact same brand of dip powder at home. Which I am capable less of doing at home but every so often you want to pamper yourself. Again the service was nice and efficient however the edges around the cuticle was not filled all the way to the skin so 2 to 3 days after I could feel my hair getting caught underneath my nail as I was washing or brushing it. That to me is a huge problem. So I would not return for dip powder here. Ps they use revel nail brand for dip powder. read more

I came here scouting for a new nail salon close to home. All I can say is that I was completely impressed. The salon is clean, the customer service is one of a kind. I am happy that I've stumbled across a nice place like this. I usually do dip color and I'm pretty hesitate because there's a lot of folks who are not great at doing that. It's too bad that Nancy, the owner refuses to hire experienced nail technicians to do fill ins and/or nail art. She doesn't take appointments on Friday's and Saturdays, is ALWAYS busy everyday, actively discourages you from coming first thing in the morning (oh it's busy, come around 2), and even when you have an appt, you're going to be in the salon for over 2 hours and most of that time is spent waiting as she jumps from client to client. She's either doing artwork or fixing a screwup from her other inexperienced nail techs. It's a shame because she does nice artwork and is a nice person. She doesn't value her long term clients, nor their time. She's lost me as a customer. Plus she doesn't have magazines, nor does she offer WiFi. read more

I've been coming here for about 2 years now but my experience this past Wednesday was the WORST ever. I got Lynne and she definitely didn't care about her customer service with me. When she 1st cut me with her tool my instant reaction was to pull my hand away and look at it. When I did that the sighed as if it was a problem. No sorry, nothing. She continues, she cuts another finger of mine. Again, she didn't have a care in the world. She just seemed even more frustrated. Like umm...you're the one hurting ME. So now she goes to paint my nails. One of the colors I chose was a clear with confetti in it. I didn't like how you were still able to see my real nail so I then decided to put a natural color underneath it. She caught an attitude because I wanted to simply modify it. It's not like she had to start all over, once I saw the 1st coat I asked for it to be changed. She made it seem like it was a big deal. This place has definitely gone down the drain. The workers don't even come in at 9:30 so if you get there when they open, most of the nail tech's aren't walking in until close to 10:00. I will definitely be finding a new nail spot. read more

I was ripped off at this place. My daughter and I came here to find a new nail salon together and we were both very unhappy with the quality of work. My daughter had small jewels, many fell off within 2 days and one nail completely ripped off after cracking. I expected a gel fill but instead all gel was removed and I was given a gel manicure. During the manicure I said a nail was cracked but nothing was done about it. Of course it completely broke off in a few days. Also half my nails are squared and half rounded. When I went back to the salon to address the issues, I was told I did not have a full set of gel nails and I could pay $50 to get them. When I said I did have a full set When I came to the salon and was told I didn't understand how manicures work. Seriously? I understand the difference between gel color and gel nails. I offered a compromise to fix the current bad gel manicure and was told no. My daughter and I spend a lot of money on manicures, pedicures, designs, waxing and we give great tips. This place lost a great opportunity for new clients who would have helped their business and took care of their employees. read more

This isn't the first time I come here. I usually have a good experience, but it had been a while since I came back. I purposely came here because I know they have a lot more stuff & I wanted a beautiful nail set for my birthday. I arrived early because on Fridays they don't do appointments 10:15 or so, as I walk in they tell me that it will be a 30-45 min wait to be with Kevin and I agreed, later it turned into 2 hours so I decided to grab something to eat and come back. To my luck, by the time i came back kevin was almost done so I didn't wait more than an hour. Once I sat on his chair, I asked him if he could give me CLEAR tips, his words were "it's the same thing, just $5 more" I looked at him confused, but then agreed maybe It wasn't necessary. When it came to the length I asked him to make them longer, considering the fact I was doing coffin & he cut at the length he "thought" was okay, I told him they were too short & his response was "longer nails are extra $5" (i'm not sure why he was concerned, I'm the one paying) I told him they were still too short so he got upset, cut the tips off & placed a bowl of acetone at someone else's table and decided he wasn't doing my nails, to me he behaved like a very spoiled person. Then the manager told me it would be another 45 min wait until someone else helped me (I was pretty annoyed at this point but the receptionist did a good job at calming me down) so I agreed and waited (probably should of walked out right there) after waiting, another very kind lady began to do my nails. The problem was that she cut me MULTIPLE TIMES & it seemed like she was more focused on talking to her coworker next to her. I also didn't get to go all out on my nails because she didn't know how to do the design I wanted. At the end of the day, I wasted 5 hours of my day & I ended up with a very basic nail set. Very disappointing considering the fact that I commuted just to get my nails done at this place & I'm ALWAYS telling people to come here. read more
