I would give this place zero stars, I would. Safe your money and patience a d go somewhere else. Here are a few of the problems: 1/ gel manicure would "pop" off completely after 1 week. 2/ gel nail polish has bubbles and often I have left with bubbly nails which look terrible. 3/ the cherry on top tonight, walked in at 6:05 for a manicure, got told to wait 10 minutes (not a problem at all, didn't have an appointment) and then at 6:25 got told that it's too late to do a manicure because I didn't specify I needed gel when I was not asked that to begin with. Of course, no manager on duty, she would be back in a week. Well, I won't be and I recommend you don't visit either. Completely ridiculous service and products. read more

Nice people, but horrible pedicure. She barely used the pumice sponge. She brushed it over my feet once and that was it. I'm not the type to complain, I just won't come back & this place I won't come back. I feel like I paid $35 for nothing. I honestly came here just to get gel polished removed, but when she asked if I wanted a pedi too I just said why not even though I knew I didn't want polish on my toes. Cindy is the go to person for gel Nails and French Manicure, Gloria is a master at doing a reflexology pedicure. I talked my hubby into going. I went here for an afternoon out with girlfriends and was very disappointed. I enjoy pedicures and believe you get what you pay for. This was not the case. The spa is clean. The employees are friendly. The pedicure was horrible. The woman who performed the service just like the ladies next to her had no clue what to do. I have never had my nails cleaned and filed AFTER lotion and a massage was done. Sadly I will not return or refer. read more

I was really excited about getting a Shellac mani after reading reviews online. However, not many salons offer it around my area. I called up Galaxy and was able to make an appointment right away. I was told the price was going to be $35, but when I got there they said $40. At first I was a bit upset about this, but they ended up charging me the 35. Apparently first time customers can print a discount coupon online. As always with my brittle nails, I'm skeptical when they take out the electric file, I think the lady noticed because she was gentle and did not over file. Now to the manicure, it was pretty quick considering that it uses a UV light. She really did a great job and i'll be coming back! The mini neck massage was also fantastic! read more

DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS ESTABLISHMENT! Don't waste your money here. The staff is racist! I am far from one of those hyper-sensitive people about race, creed, religion whatever. However I went here to try it out and get a manicure with a french tip. The price of mani-pedi was 25. I called prior for the price and asked again upon arrival. A woman told me 30 extra dollars for the design (not the one doing my nails). When I looked at the board and saw it was clearly marked as 5 bucks. I asked the woman why it was 30 and how she came up with that number. Her reply "because its you". What?!?!?! So I once again stated to her that I don't understand how she came up with those numbers and asked how much does she usually charge. She said 5. At that point I said don't worry about it and just let the woman who was doing my pedicure finish. Then she demanded I pay then, mid pedicure. I've never had this happen before. Nor did I see them demand payment prior to services for any of the other 6 patrons (all of whom were white and not clearly muslim). I've never been to this place before in my life nor will I be going back. There are a hundred other nail salons in the area. I would advise anyone not to spend their money here and support suck rude and ignorant behavior. If the BBB handled discrimination complaints, I'd be filing one. read more

I read some other reviews but not sure about all the negativity?! I stopped in for a quick pedi with a lovely lady named Diana. Her English was limited but she was very sweet & friendly. She did a marvelous job on my toes and I did not feel any racism, prejudice, etc. The pedi was priced comparable to the area so fine with the cost. Place was very clean and had a calming vibe. I'd come back here again and would encourage others to ignore the negativity and try this place if they are in the area. read more

They're priced fairly and are always very diligent with their work. The ambiance of the place is very relaxing and the staff is always really friendly. I had such an excellent experience at this salon that I had to write my review now. I work in the area, and made a same day appointment for 12:15pm on a Friday for a gel manicure. I arrived a few minutes before my appointment and was greeted by a woman behind the reception desk, who sat me down right away at Gloria's station. I realized Gloria spoke Spanish, so we communicated in that language for the entire duration of the appointment. She started on me right away while I picked out a color. She was very friendly and warm, and I could feel that from the entire staff as well. I had to be back at work by 1, and Gloria was able to accommodate that. I was out the door by 12:45pm. I can honestly say I am satisfied with the service here because 1) they acknowledged my appointment 2) they started on me right away as per my appointment 3) were able to accommodate me being on a time crunch and 4) $30 gel mani was in my budget. The salon was very clean, and was fairly full which is always a good thing. I will definitely be returning for my next gel mani, and a pedicure. Thank you Gloria, and Galaxy VIII staff! read more

I have been getting gel manicures here for well over a year and I am always pleased. The salon is clean and that is so imporrtant.. I get LCN fills and my manicure has lasted 4 weeks without chipping! Of course I should have gone in sooner but the fact is, other tan nail growth, I did not have to. I have two complaints which are related to management. Even if you are a regular customer, if you forget a bring a coupon, the salon does not give the discounted price. Secondly, if you get two services such as manicure and waxing, you can only use one coupon. The owners do not seem to care about customer satisfaction or getting repeat customers. I will continue to go because the manicures are top notch but the owners are not friendly and definitely more concerned about every dollar rather than creating loyal customers.. read more

I have been a long time customer and since new management has taken over coupons eliminated and two price increases. At first I was upset but the icing on the cake was when I went for my usual three week gel fill in I went to register to pay was told $5.00 increase in price for coming three weeks versus two weeks. I was never told prior to sitting down nor was it posted. So I'm penalized for not going to salon every two weeks. Now I know why the salon is always empty, they are forcing people to do business with them on their schedule. Not a great way to treat long time customers. Worst nail salon. I've been there before and was unimpressed, but had to go yesterday as a matter of necessity and timing. I had to soak off gels and get a regular mani. After I was in the foils to soak off, the owner comes over and tells me its going to be 10 to soak off in addition to the manicure. Everywhere else, I've been its been $5. Why didn't she tell me when I walked in and said that's what I needed and wait until I was in the process? Then, I received the WORST manicure ever. The color is bumpy, lumpy and worn away already on the tips! If I had time, I would've gone somewhere else to fix it. Do not go here! There are dozens of nail salons in the area, all of which are far better. read more
