I'm not the only who thinks this doctor is all about scamming your money. She add service to you without your consent and bill you and your insurance, which is insurance fraud. She charges me hundreds of dollars for doing 5 seconds of work. She also pointed out some spots on an X-ray and says those are cavities 5 years ago, and I kept saying let's wait and see if it gets larger. During the last visit, she insists to get that cavities treated so she can get richer, and I asked her why the cavities never caused a problem for 5 years, she realized her lies and greed are exposed and asked me to switch dentist. read more

Dr. O'Bryan and the entire team are always super friendly and thorough with their examinations and follow ups. They were able to fit me in for an urgent visit after an accident, and were very gentle towards the tender parts of my teeth and jaw. They made sure to keep x-rays and pictures on file and noted what to follow up on, all while checking on my comfort level when performing the tasks. Literally every person at this office has been so incredible to me. I had severe dental anxiety and they were so kind and accommodating from my very first call to them. They also care for my 10-year-old son and his dad's teeth, and are great with them, too. I decided to try hypnotherapy to see if it could help my anxiety, and yesterday I went for my first unmedicated appointment (not even any nitrous!) in YEARS. They were so sweet and celebrated with me, and still took extra care, telling me what they were doing at each step and explaining thoroughly before proceeding. I have no question their patience and kindness helped me feel more able to address my dental anxiety and get past it once and for all (I hope). Let's be honest, I hate going to the dentist, so I need a place where I feel welcomed and not shamed because I know I try but I'm not always the best flosser. Although Dr. O'Bryan always wants my teeth in top notch shape, she also has so many great recommendations to fool yourself into taking care of your dental health. Nikole is kind, caring, and very accommodating when it comes to dental phobias, and on top of all of that, she's understanding. Everybody I've come in contact with at her office has been wonderful, and I'm sure it was no treat to work on my shambles of a mouth. Dr. Hardwick had been my dentist my whole life and I thought he was fantastic! However, like Jerry, I think I like Dr. O'Bryan better. She and her staff are so friendly, helpful, and sincere I don't think Dr. Hardwick could have chosen anyone better to take over his practice. Last year I started a new job and, sadly, Dr. O'Bryan was not an "in network" dentist with my new insurance company. I tried going to another dentist to try and save some money, but the experience was a nightmare. This dentist's office is in one of the nicest offices downtown and the staff was friendly, but the dentist himself was not as friendly or helpful. Unlike Dr. O'Bryan, he didn't explain what he was doing to include me in the exam and at times he would talk down to me. The 2 fillings he did for me now have to be redone after less than 6 months! One of them had to be redone only 2 weeks after it was originally done! Needless to say, I've gone back to Dr. O'Bryan and am more than happy to pay to have those fillings done correctly. I know that she will do them with gentle hands and precision. I can't tell you how excited and happy I am to be back with Dr. O'Bryan! read more

After giving Dr. O'Bryan's card out to four consecutive people this week, I figured a review was warranted. I came to Dr. O'Bryan's office after three years of not going to the dentist. I had one really terrible experience that had kept me away, and I was really hesitant about finding someone new. Thanks to the recommendation of a co-worker, I found the best dentist I've ever had. Dr. O'Bryan herself has a wonderful ability to give you all the facts without a. overwhelming you or b. talking down to you. I always feel like I understand what needs to be taken care, what is going well, and what I need to do as I move forward. Additionally, her staff is out of this world. Mary Kay has been a tremendous help time after time for scheduling questions, refill questions, billing inquiries - everything. My fiance recently came here after 5 years of avoiding the dentist. He entered with skepticism and fear and left with a smile and a genuine appreciation for Dr. O'Bryan and her staff. I cannot recommend this dentist highly enough. Everyone needs to go here for dental care. I can't recommend them enough from the front desk to assistants and Dr. O'Bryan herself. Very knowledgeable and very friendly. No one ever looks forward to going to the dentist but its nice to know when you do go it will be as pleasant of an experience as possible. O'Bryan even puts topical numbing before the shot and after coming 3 times I only felt the shot sting once in an area that was difficult to be topically numb. Other than that I haven't felt a thing. Also really like the fact they give you noise cancelling headphones so you can listen to your own music while they drill away! They worked with me and my insurance to try to get the most out of my plan while tackling the most important teeth first. It's nice to be given options and even though I ended up paying out of pocket I really feel like they did beyond their required jobs to make sure I got the most out of insurance. They even accept Care Credit. NOTE: Care credit I thought would be a good way to build credit and pay extra med bills, WRONG. I put $650 on my card, paid it all off the next month and they placed a 3 week "hold" after funds had cleared on available credit and gave me some BS excuse about money laundry. Wow. Although this is not the office's fault it is relevant to the review as while I didn't find out about the hold until I was trying to use my card again after services. They were very understanding and just as confused as I was why Care Credit had put my funds on hold. They even waited until the next week when the hold came off to run my card. I was very appreciative of that. Overall, I am glad I found this place! Don't let it's location by a sketchy part of the AVE drive you away. It's top notch! read more

Your location Nikole R. O'Bryan, DMD Sometimes what you see is just the tip of an iceberg! WhHow will you feel when the compassionate dentist turns on you? I was returning from out of state with my wife to be here for a checkup and my next cleaning that was scheduled. The time had been changed by Nikoles office to early morning (something to do with the current pandemic!). We were in route Sunday when I received a text that my appointment was canceled. It said Nikoles dog had died! (No big deal I thought, I'll get it rescheduled). The text didn't distinguish between the checkup with Nikole and the cleaning with the hygienist, so out of diligence I popped into the office at 7:30 am as originally scheduled. Having determined that all was canceled I said to the receptionist (who appeared to be the only one there, in the office at 7:30) that I would call to reschedule. She said she could reschedule me right then and there but I reiterated that I would like to call to reschedule and I went out. I was wearing a mask as is now required, and I stayed near the door and spoke from there rather then come up to the receptionist desk. When I call the next day to reschedule I leave a recorded message as nobody answers. On Thursday I call again and am told Nikole would like to talk to me and would call me back. When I got no call I called her cellphone on Friday when the office was closed. When I do get hold of Nikole she tells me that I have upset her receptionist- she really tells me off and says she can't help me anymore- she will be dropping me as a client. She gives no explanation of how or what bothered her receptionist. Period. End of story! Nikole was very unkind with her words and undefined accusation! It hurt me because I'm a sensitive person who cares about things. I can't even talk to Nikole, she won't listen; but, as I tried to talk to find out anything I referred to the girl at the desk; Nikole focused on my use of the words the girl instead; She said I called her "the girl" and that that was a problem between her and me!! (I was under stress when I used those words, over the phone, not in the presence of the person being referred to, not meant with disrespect, and I don't believe I should have to explain). That focus on my wording seemed to reveal some kind of deep contempt for me which I can't explain and don't know where it's coming from. That was my feeling. Back to the receptionist: I think maybe she felt jilted that when she said she could "reschedule me Now" I said that no, I would call to reschedule (why jilted about that I have no idea. Obviously I'm not required to reschedule my appointment at that moment and I'm free to walk out of that office- I can't believe I'm even saying this. She had just offered to reschedule me so I feel like now that is evidence that everything was okay up till that point. So was it something about how I exited the office? Was it abrupt? I did mention that I never had taken off my mask or come up to the receptionist desk- I was by the door. In any case there has been no explanation. I can just say I didn't yell, curse, be abusive with language, point a finger or accuse; I didn't even complain about my appointment being canceled without what would be considered as sufficient notice. Now I have not received any apology for the abrupt cancellation. I have been accused of something undefined. I have been told off personally; I have been dropped as a client, overdue for the cleaning that is supposedly important to keep on schedule, to go try to find a new dentist that will take me as a new patient in the middle of a pandemic. And I'm just thinking, I hope the new dentist will tell me that the $16k I've spent on my teeth recently (at Nikoles direction) was well spent. I'm suddenly not as confident in anything Nikole has told me. I think the actual dental work was good, it's just everything else that wasn't. I don't remember any other time I've had such bad treatment anywhere!! I have reached out to Nikole, by text, and have received no response. I was also looking for a referral to another dentist, which Nikole had suggested She would provide, also no response. That's why I changed my 2 star rating to 1. And finally now I'm looking for a new dentist and the new dentist requested my dental records from Nikoles office and also my previous dentist and periodontist- She told me she got all my records easily from my previous dentist and my periodontist but not from Nikole. She only got my records from Nikoles when someone from Nikoles office happened to be calling to get records from my new dentist and my new dentist basically demanded my records! It s read more

There are several reasons why I continue going to Dr. O'Bryan: She communicates and explains everything so that you understand; She is conservative and won't have you do any unnecessary procedures; If she does not do a certain procedure at her office, she has a great source of referrals for specialists if needed; Her and her staff all have great bedside manner - funny, real, respectful and professional. Dr. O'Bryan, and in fact her whole office, are simply wonderful. Not only are she and her assistants impressively skilled (even artistic) in their work, they are really, really nice people. I was recommended her by my PCP after a dental accident/emergency, and they have shown genuine concern and care at every session and even in their appointment reminder phone calls (!). This goes for Dr. O'Bryan herself, her wonderful assistants Nikki and Tamara, and her financial person, Mary Kay. They've worked with me to make what was initially a very scary situation (I broke a couple of teeth in an accident) into something manageable; they helped calm my fears, walk me through the process, etc. More than anything, they made me feel that I was in good, caring hands, and that they would help coordinate the care to make everything better (and indeed they have). At this point, I look forward to walking into their office and seeing their friendly faces. I've had a number of dentists over the course of my life, and have been working with at least one other specialist as a results of this accident, and while I have been fortunate to receive excellent care from nearly all of them, no office has shown the depth of caring and human kindness that Dr. O'Bryan's office has. A good dentist is hard to find, but Dr. O'Bryan and her office are truly exceptional. If she still has room for new patients, you owe it to yourself to give her a call. read more

I had a great dentist before moving to Seattle and was terribly afraid that I won't find another like him -- I was very wrong! Dr. O'Bryan's office is very friendly, from the receptionists to assistants to the dentist herself. I have worked with 3-4 dental hygienists from her office by now and they have all been very good. Some were more forceful than others during cleaning, but have always adjusted to my comfort as I voiced my concerned (they are also very good about checking along the way). I haven't done any serious dental work, so my interaction with Dr. O'Bryan is fairly limited. However, she has been nice and professional when she does the quick annual checks at the end of a session. High recommended! read more

Dr. O'Bryan and her staff are all very professional, friendly, and patient oriented. I really appreciated that Dr. O'Bryan is direct and informative and honestly cares that you as a patient understand what is going on with your teeth! The office has a great environment and I have never had to wait more than a few minutes to be seen. I was a patient of Dr. O'Bryan's for a number of years. One of my regrets when I moved to Honolulu a year ago is that I would have to find another dentist. I was completely satisfied with the care given by Dr. O'Bryan and her fine staff. The work I had done included two crowns, which were expertly done. And I was quite pleased that routine charges were completely covered by my company's insurance. Another thing that impressed me is that Dr. O'Bryan's office had the most advanced equipment I've seen in a dentist's office. You can actually see what' gong on in your mouth if you care to. I was coming to this office before the practice was taken over by Dr. O'Bryan, and although I had developed a fondness for Dr. Hardwick over the dozen or so years I saw him, I think I like Dr. O'Bryan more. She updated a lot of the equipment and remodeled the building a little bit, and the result is very nice. I was afraid when Dr. Hardwick retired that I would have to find a new dentist that I liked, but Dr. O'Bryan is great. I'd definitely recommend her to anyone who is dentist-less. read more
