I have been shopping at the store on and off for the past two years. I have bought things before not had any problems, but I wanted to share a poor experience that I had recently. I was there a couple Saturday's ago and found a pair of shoes that I like. The store was super busy and very loud. I grabbed the shoes that I wanted to buy, tried them on and stood in line which was the longest line I had ever seen inside that store. The line literally took over an hour to get to the front and I bought my shoes. The shoes were Nike Air Maxes and I took them home still in the box tried them on again the next day when I was walking around my house I heard air coming out. It turns out that one of the bubbles was popped and I was sold a defective pair of shoes. I was pretty upset because I live about 25 miles away from the store and had spent an additional hour plus inside the store waiting in line. Fast forward to two weeks later making the trip out to the store to return the shoes I spoke to an associate behind the counter about what they might be able to do for me. I said I was sold a defective pair of shoes and had to wait in line for over an hour on a busy day. The day I bought the shoes it was super loud inside of the store so I could not hear that one of the air bubbles was popped. It also did not sink and like you would think, it was a very subtle sound and feeling. The guy behind the counter said you know what I can do for you as I can refund the money back on your card. I basically responded to him "yeah I know you can do that because it's a simple return but I'm wondering if you have any coupons or anything for future shopping trips because I don't appreciate having to drive all the way out here by a pair shoes that had something wrong with them." He basically said there was nothing he could do it apologized and then he turned to another associate and asked her if he should put these back out on the floor or mark them as defective. I couldn't believe that they were actually willing to put these obviously defective shoes out on the floor for somebody else to buy only to discover later that they are defective due to a popped air bubble. This is a clearance store and they had to have some good items but I probably will not be shopping here again after knowing if they're willing to put defective items back out on the floor and certainly not help a customer have a good experience. If I had a poor experience I like to give the business an opportunity to make it right before I turn to websites like Yelp. This Nike store was clearly not willing to do that so here I just want to warn other customers that they are willing to sell defective items and not willing to go the extra step to help out a customer. read more

Like most Nike Stores, this one is for RESELLERS ONLY. Most of the employees don't even care about the products or helping out customers. And this whole "Premium" thing is ridiculous. You have to ask employees to go in the back and get you better looking shoes because they don't put them on the floor. Well that was last week! This week, "everything we got is on the floor" ? WTF. I've seen people receive Gold Foamposites and Laser 4's after I was told by 3 different employees all premiums are out. I've seen a employee hand over a stack of Just-Don jackets to 1 customer and I had to go and beg him for 1. He had 7. Same guy bought at least 10 pairs of R.T air force 1's. The employees wouldn't even ask him to pull my size and proceeded to let him buy them all. Just 2 days ago, I was the first person in the store. I asked the employees are there any "Premiums" available? I was told no. 20 minutes later some guy walked in, followed a girl to the back and the girl employee walked back out with a Shooting Stars Pack for 99.99 ? Again, what is fair? And even if you don't know the apparel and sneakers I am mentioning, you still know what it feels like to be denied and lied to by a place you spend your hard earned money. Viejas Team, you will lose Nike's money acting like this. Resellers shouldnt be a greater priority than customers. You guys got it all backwards. read more

This Nike outlet is by far the best of the other Nike outlet stores. Worth the 45 min drive. It definitely gets crazy during holiday weekends. Memorial Day, the line for the check out when all the way around the inside of the store. I've bought 3 pairs of shoes, a kids warm up out suit and a men's collared golf shirt all for a little over $100 including tax. read more

Selection for my size, 7.5, was just okay. Found a pair I loved in an 8 but they didn't have them in 7.5 or 7 Thought I'd have trouble only leaving with one pair but it actually wasn't a problem at all. Also, the lines are SO long and SO slow (only 3 cashiers) that I wish I'd have just paid $20 more for the same shoes right in San Diego. Total wait time = an hour! The employees working the register clearly don't care either cause they're moving slow and are seriously not efficient. read more

A lot of good deals, 30% off most ticketed prices while I was there. The staff were nice and friendly. There was a long line but the cashiers were fast. They have military discount as well. I was able to buy a lot of items because the discount was so high. I'd definitely come again. read more

This is a good nike location for clothing. Shoes are mixed up and often wrong sizes in the labeled area. They don't have much of a selection for men's shoes over size 13. For men's clothing they have shorts and shirts up to 3xl usually. Women's clothing has quite a bit of choices. Clothing is organized by sizes and friendly staff. The checkout line sometimes is long. I would go back for clothing. read more

Read many reviews and I can understand some of the frustration. Selection is good and some of it does seem like things I've seen in other Nike stores and didn't seem to sell well, but after all, this store IS a clearance store. Not all products are going to be top products. But, the selections are still good and fashionable. Didn't have what we were looking for, but 8 other stores all over SDiego didn't have it either! So, slightly disappointed, but not surprised. This time of year you don't wait to the last minute and expect every store to have what you're looking for, right? All-in-all it's a great store to get athletic gear and tennis shoes, so, if you're in need of athletic gear, check them out. You may be lucky and find what you need for a reasonable price. Customer service was great. Even though they didn't have what I was looking for, they did try to help and then apologized for not having it. Sure, like it's their fault! Friendly and as helpful as they could be. They also have some different and interesting stores there as well as little places to snack or eat at. Especially fun after dark. What's not to like about a store that sells quality products at discounted products? I'm a big nike fan and who doesn't like finding good deals? The ONLY catch with shopping here is that you have to actually shop around to find stuff youre looking for, but they constantly have sports equipment, cleats, a vast shoe selection(albeit random and disorganized), jackets, workout equipment and attire, nike brand clothing, and official team merchandise. This is a pretty well sized store and you just have to be willing to look around. Their shoes are organized by size on racks but other than that have no organization by type/color/similarity, etc. They have a decent return policy, adequate customer service,and great prices. check it out! read more

This review is long overdue, as my family and I have been coming here for years! You will not find better prices on Nike shoes in San Diego! Yes the shoes are older models but when you have 3 active kids this is the place to shop at and save $$$. When they have a sale, say 20% off that will be off the lowest ticketed price. I bought KD basketball shoes retailing at $150 for $49.99. The only downer is how long the lines can be when checking out. It can be a half an hour wait at times but that just tells you how busy this place can be. People who know about deals and looking for quality Nike gear come HERE! Don't miss out! read more

This store is amazing! I felt like a kid in a candy store. Everything was so organized, and all of the staff was above and beyond helpful. There was a group of teenagers in there shopping when I was, and they were being absolutely obnoxious, leaving shoes everywhere and just tearing the place up. The staff helping them kept their cool and were so patient. I would definitely recommend shopping here before anywhere else for your fitness needs. The prices are incredible as well! My opinion This Nike Clearance store is semi big store. There is more stuff for men than for women. It's usually the other way around. There are many shoe available but sizes vary. But I have been able to find shoes that are on the Nike website. Most people who shop there get basic Nike training shoes because they are a good deal. Which is good thing because I was able to find the newest running shoes. I have purchased drifit jackets for less than 20$ and running shirts for under 15$.I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Dispute the fact that it is extremely crowded. Customers Service This place has great customer service. I definitely respect all the employee who try to help multiple people at once. In addition, there is extremely long line ( approximately 30 mins). They is also a line for people who are buying 4 items or less. Tips -Do the Nike survey for a 5$ gift card. I have shopped at this store several times over the past few years. Overall it's a decent store, but their management is awful. Emily is a very rude person and has no basic human decency with customers or towards her employees. I have witnessed this on almost every visit. I've overheard the way she speaks to her employees and it's awful. One time I asked her if she could help me find something and she just said "we're a clearance store whatever is out here is what we have" before I could even ask her my question. If she would have let me finish she would have known I had a question about the price and not getting a different product. She should not be a manager at this store or working in the service industry. If you hate customer service don't work in the industry!!!! All she does is talk about her personal life or yell at her employees. SHE IS AWFUL. Now I understand why employees don't last there and look so unhappy to be there. Pretty disappointed overall. This location has weird, inconsistent pricing for items like shoes. For example, I went to the Nike store in Carlsbad (not a clearance store like this one) to see if they had a particular pair/color and they didn't, however they looked up which locations did have it in my size and this location in Alpine was listed as one. A few hours later I decided to go to this location to get the shoes only to see they weren't there (I asked) and no one had bought them in the time between either. This location had a different color of the same exact shoe for $40 less and they said they can't match the price of one I want that is THE SAME SHOE but a different color?! Then I noticed that the color I wanted (a size up from me) was $20 more than the non-clearance Nike store near me which makes absolutely no sense and on top of that the girl that worked here said they don't match prices store-to-store for the SAME shoes. Makes no fucking sense. Selection overall was a bit disappointing to me because they didn't have a lot of men's small sizes and no slim fit pants, etc. read more

Shouldve listen to my wife about this Nike outlet in Alpine. I regret buying my previous jordans @ WSS shoe store prior two wkends ago. Plenty of salespeople, and they manage to stay helpful without pushy at all. When I had my arms full of clothing, someone came up and offered me a bag, when I headed toward the dressing room and looked around, someone appeared to open the door for me. When I asked an off the wall question about the shoes, the guy didn't know the answer, but referred me to a place online where I could find it. I got a gorgeous pair of yoga/running pants made from recycled 2L bottles, and a great deal on a nice pair of Wildhorse trail shoes. There were a lot of clothes I tried on and did not buy because the fit was off. Remember that it is an outlet, and things show up at outlets because they may be imperfect for one reason or another. I'm not knocking off a star for that because I expect that in an outlet. Just remember to try on everything! read more

I love Nike and all of their products. I want to give this location 5 stars, but I have to be honest. Although it can be very disorganized, this store has a lot to offer if you dig through all of their inventory. Their sales are awesome especially when it's 40% off an already discounted price. The employees state that they don't know the sales, but it's not that hard to figure out if you go often enough. First weekend, 20% off men's, next weekend 20% off women's, the following weekend would be 20% off both men and women. After that weekend it would be 30% off men, following 30% off women, and then 30% off both men and women. The following weekend it would be 40% off store wide. That's the time to go! Sounds great, but here's where it really hurts. Like all shoe stores, employees hold shoes for themselves or do not display the good stuff. For Jordan brand fans, this location once had the Bred 11's and Bred 11 lows. They also had "what the Kobe's" and "what the Lebron's", but if you asked, it seemed like every employee had to inquire if some other employee was holding it for themselves before grabbing it from the back. I go here solely for that feeling to find a diamond in the rough that for some reason did not sell at a normal Nike retail store. My mom and I head to this mall a few times a year. This Nike store has the BEST prices! I have been able to buy Nike Pros for $15, sometimes my size does not have the best selection, but who cares! I got two outfits to workout in for under $50! I am able to knockout my brother's birthday and Christmas gifts in one visit. BAM! The only reason I do not give this store five stars is how insane it is when we have shopped on weekend days. Way too crowded and not enough registers. If you shop early on a weekday, it is GOLDEN! i came here on May 2nd of this year for the Friends and Family 30% off event they were having just because it was my first time in the San Diego area. I knew that for my trip to be worth it, I would have to be here at 10 am to get the best stuff. I was surprised at how dope a LOT of the shoes were and how low apparel was (many racks of $10 shorts and shirts). I copped a WMNS Air Max 1 Grape size 12 (which is 10.5 in men's) and and Air Max 90 JCRD for one of my sneaker loving homegirls. All in all, it was a nice first visit! read more

Whenever I need new sneaker I have always checked Nike outlet in Alpine. Price is very reasonable and sales staff is very friendly willing to find the shoe if you can't find it. Only problem is limited selection if you need specific models you maybe out of luck but seemed to me stocks may changes weekly, just because you don't see today doesn't mean not in store next week. read more

I'm a rabid sneakerhead so a trip out to the Nike Clearance Store was a MUST. The difference between a Factory Store and a Clearance Store is that everything in the Clearance store is sorted by size with the box-tops cut off (Factory Stores have their merchandise sorted by shoe styles with intact boxes). Everything here is marked down by a LOT and I purposely packed extra light in an oversized lugged bag to carry some kicks home. Ended up with three pairs and a jacket for just over $200 (all the items retailed for around $450) and the employees were incredibly helpful. I must've asked the one employee to stock-check about seven items for me, and she did it all with a smile on her face. read more

If I were to give this store a real rating based on costumer service, i'd give it a no-star. When you call the store, you might come across their recording that claims that their clearance store does not accept the following actions over the phone: item check, item holds, and orders. I called for an explanation of this and the lady told me that its district rules and that all nike clearance stores are suppose to follow by them. I know a couple of stores in which friends work at and none of which know of these "district rules". I assured the lady on the phone that it cant be true cause i just called a couple and then she gave me attitude. I then decided to look up every nike clearance store in the state and called each of them. None have ever heard of these district rules. I also decided to call the nike front office and no person could confirm. The reason i give the rating for the whole store rather than the ratchet employee is because it is the store management itself to enforce this, which by the way they are not suppose to do according to nike officials. The rules are fiction and the customer service over the phone with that lady earns this store the lowest rating. read more

So I don't like writing bad reviews for people, but I feel the need to on this one. I was all excited to go to the Nike outlet because I love Nike and needed a new pair of running shoes as well as cross-trainers. First of all, I'm in sales so I understand that customers can be incredibly stupid and annoying and everyone has bad days. However, the guy that was helping me really was not helpful at all. The shoes are in no way organized to where you would know if it was a running shoe or a cross trainer. I just asked him what the best running shoe was that he had, and what the best cross trainer was. He couldn't really answer that and seemed really put out by me asking. He did point out a couple, but then didn't really have any sort of certainty or enthusiasm about them. I have to give him the fact that he knew which ones were more for running, but he couldn't even find one that was a cross trainer. Then he told me I should just use running shoes for everything and I didn't really need to get a cross trainer. This is after I told him that my feet hurt when I try to do the eliptical in my running shoes. Overall I was dissapointed with the selection and the lack of help. They must not work on commission because he clearly did not care and just walked away and left me to figure it out. I mean I get that it's an outlet store so you shouldn't expect greatness, but just common customer service was all I wanted. I usually don't even ask for help, but when nothing is labeled, how would I know what is what. Also the overall drab attitude of everyone there just bothered me. So needless to say I left with no shoes. I did go into the Famous Footwear there and ended up buying a great pair of trainers because the girl there was able to actually tell me something about them. read more
