I am partially disabled, and was pleased they had 2 tables for 2 with regular height chairs. Retro drive in food with a vast milk shake menu. I had the Snickers milk shake, which lived up to the "packed with peanuts " slogan. The French fries seem to be fresh cut, just like homemade. I had a very good chili coney dog. We hit up a 50s diner that absolutely nailed the vibe neon lights, jukebox, checkerboard floors, the whole retro feel. The service? Fantastic. Friendly, fast, and totally on theme. Now the food... let's just say we went all in. Giant onion rings, chili cheese fries (with a sneaky jalapeño kick), a buffalo chicken cheesesteak, and of course, the one and only Philly cheesesteak. Nifty fifty's is always a toss up and that's just because their establishments are always swamped with people. I do prefer this location to the Philly locations. The food is honestly good it's just thrown together most of the time. I can't blame them, they aren't properly staffed for the crowd they attract. The milkshakes are good. May 19 2023, 3 for lunch - We lived in the area for 12 years long before this was built. We were looking for a hearty burger and shake joint. This is THAT!!! The décor is awesome and nostalgic and you can see in the many pictures. The place is clean and the tables and place settings and glassware also immaculate. Service a little slow, but personable and friendly when it kicks into gear. We got what else? Burgers, cheeseburgers, mushroom cheeseburgers and a load of onion rings. As maybe expected most of it is fried or grille greasy and the rolls were even shiny oily. The burger patties were probably cooked per their standard medium well. (probably the safest option) The onion rings were maybe overcooked or tired/old oil, but not too bad. 6/10 As it appears others have stated..... this is a shake shop that serves burgers and food. These shakes are a flashback to the decadence of the 50s and 60s to a time gone by. Not sure the ingredients ( sweeteners, dairy, gums and preservatives) are as wholesome as back then but they DO TASTE GREAT!!!! We each got one in vanilla, coconut and Oreo cookie. I got the vanilla which was a classic flavor and consistency. My wife and daughter got the other two flavors. BOTH felt there was TOO much sugar and cookies and etc and the coconut tasted like a syrupy Pina Colada per my wife. I always keep it simple. Just ate dinner here with my family this week! My parents went in to have dinner at the actual restaurant while I was working. My dad ate the Texas Ringer, which is a burger topped with cheese, bacon, an onion ring, lettuce, and Texas petal sauce! He is very picky and he gave it a thumbs up! He enjoyed it! Of course, it was accompanied by a huge Vanilla milkshake. My parents shared this and said it was one of the best Vanilla milkshakes they had in a while! My mom had a Cheeseburger and fries, which she also enjoyed! The fries were crispy and the onion rings were done well. My parents said it was a very cool environment. My parents did takeout for me to bring home. I ate the Royal Burger, which was a cheeseburger topped with a large onion ring. The burger was thin but juicy, it was kind of like a smashburger. I thought it was yummy, but I should have asked for the free toppings of lettuce and pickles to go with it. I also indulged in a Pumpkin Pie milkshake which was VERY good. It was HUGE, but a great deal for only $7!!! I definitely would go back to try more of their classic diner food and try different milkshake smoothie flavors. I went with friends to the franchised Nifty Fifty's on York Road in Warminster. It was better than I expected as everything is made fresh. The portions are ridiculous for everything (except the single burger), with overflowing baskets of fries, loaded nuggets, etc., with a menu including everything yummy that you may remember from your youth, before you were concerned with cholesterol, fried foods, & everything unhealthy. They've got it all! Coney Island hot dogs, chili dogs, Texas Tommy's...loaded fries, cheesesteak loaded fries, chicken nugget fries...loaded chicken nuggets, steak sandwiches, @ oh so amazing, real, seasoned, crispy onion rings. I ordered the single Texas Burger, a cheeseburger topped with lettuce, tomato, an onion ring, & the sauce used with the blooming onions served at another restaurant. I didn't see my burger when it was served. It was a well done 'smashburger' that was surprisingly small, considering the portions of everything else. One side of the menu is dedicated solely to their glorious milkshakes! Real ice cream made individually in authentic metal containers. I ordered the Thin Mint. The chocolate shake was filled with globs of rich ice cream & lots of pieces of Girl Scout's enduring favorite cookie. So rick & thick, I could only finish 1/4 of it & took the rest home. (It still sits in the freezer until I decide to thaw it out & put it in a blender.) All in all, fresh but unhealthy fun food in a fifties diner atmosphere. My only suggestion for their management would be to play authentic '50's music to go with their authentic foods! read more

Was so excited a 50s styled diner was coming to the area, relatively "close" to home. Love the little coin machines for prizes (hello nostalgia), loved the uniforms, the music, menu is huge, milkshakes are thick (the way they're supposed to be!) The wait was a bit crazy. The line was wrapped around to the first table, but you can get takeout and eat at an outdoor table or your car. The black raspberry milk shake is so delicious. It's my absolute favorite. The blue raspberry soda is really good too. Love the Texas ringer burger, the petal sauce is tasty, I just wish they would put more on so I get a little extra on the side. The fries are really good, wasn't a fan of the spicy fries but that's OK. The smothered cheesesteak fries are huge and a hit. The chicken nuggets are really good, would like to try the chicken sandwich one of these days. Got a coney island hot dog with saurkraut and chili sauce very good. Didn't experience the problems that other recent reviewers did. The Royal Cheese Burgers with the onion ring with all the toppings was very good and far from small. The Cheese Steak was also good. My reason for going to Nifty Fifty's has always been to get a milkshake. There are so many types I wouldn't attempt to list them. They are so thick it's almost hard to get thru the straw and that's not a complaint The list of available sodas is over the top too. The large French fries was too large for the 4 of us. My parents visited this location on January 5th at lunchtime. They placed a to-go order. They had to wait a while for their food, which is perfectly understandable. However, my mom, who is disabled and is handicapped. was unable to stand for that long. So my parents took a seat at the completely empty counter to wait for their order. At that time the restaurant was empty with only three tables being used in the whole restaurant. The moment they sat down, they were told they could not sit there and had to stand. Mind you, there is no seating area for those waiting for their food. My mom was in tremendous pain and discomfort from having to stand for that long. We, obviously will not be back to this restaurant. It is absolutely horrendous that a restaurant in this day and age does not accommodate those with special needs and those who are handicapped. I was under the assumption that all public establishments should be accommodating to those with special needs, but I guess I was wrong. I strongly advise those who have similar issues or handicaps to avoid this establishment. read more

In fact, they really still are, which makes this joint a generational bridge between several epochs of our sweet tooth culture. A Philly regional phenomenon, Fifty feels timeless in its garishness and the perpetual love every generation has for their offerings. Loud, boisterous and overflowing with loud music and runaround kids, this is an experience that is both captivating and annoying. Their burgers, especially the Royal Burger with two large homemade onion rings, are worth the price of admission, and the shakes just as good as you memory admits, while the cacophony and bright lights can bring a migraine. Enjoyed the burger and the black raspberry shake. The fries were crisp, but a bit over salted. Stay clear of the filet mignon as it is nothing like its namesake and not nearly as much fun to eat as the burger. Service from Aidan was fine. He did his best. Who doesn't love milkshakes, burgers, cheese fries and onion rings? When I come here that's what is usually ordered. They make their onion rings from scratch, and you can sometimes watch the staff through the window preparing the onions for the fryer as you wait in line to get seated. If you are looking for very high in fat greasy food- this is the place to go! Everything on the menu is very high in calories- but so worth it! They also have from scratch chicken nuggets and the best cheese fries!! The service is pretty good too which makes it an overall 4 stars for me! read more

I used to go to the old one in Bensalem all the time as a kid and after that one closed I went to the one on grant ave - maybe in 2013 or so, but that was the last time I had nifty fifty's. I always got their nuggets and a milkshake. I have been anxiously waiting the opening of this location and the one in newtown. It's been open for about a month or so and I always see tons of people outside waiting to get in. My family and I were hungry for burgers and comparatively nifty fifty's has better burger prices than all the other local spots - burger im and five guys to name a few of the other spots we were comparing. We settled upon nifty fifty's and gave it a shot and luckily for a Wednesday night they were not too busy. We did pickup though, so I have yet to eat inside. The order we placed was supposed to take 25-35 mins and it took exactly that amount of time, we got a nice text message right as we pulled into the parking lot. The staff member who took our order was very nice and friendly. There was one teeny tiny mistake made amongst the orders but seeing as my whole family ordered relatively the same item with a slight variation, it's understandable for them to make a mix up. We all got double cheeseburgers and split a large fry and an order of onion rings. The taste of the burger definitely reminded me of a slightly less greasy five guys burger. Thin burger patties and they were loaded with toppings. The fries had a great flavor - slightly sweet. The onion rings have the same breading as the chicken and the sauce that came with it was also good - not too overwhelming of a horseradish flavor. The food wasn't the hottest- grant it we had to drive it home but it shouldn't have gotten as cold as it did so fast. Overall the flavor is there and they were pretty spot on- plus can't beat the cost. I was very happy to try a burger and I can't wait to dine in and get my usual nuggets and a milkshake. read more

Shoes are good. Sandwiches are somewhat messy and sloppily prepared. Our buffalo chicken cheesesteak sometimes comes with blue cheese on the sandwich and other times blue cheese dressing. Menu claims it comes with blue cheese, not dressing. So, that's an inconsistent negative. When you expect one thing and something else arrives it's a let down. Cheese fries are tasty but lack cheese. Hot dog was good. Chicken sandwich was also good. A bit more attention to detail would help. read more

Came here with my girlfriend and my friend since they wanted to give it a shot. Waking in I felt like I was taken back to a time before my own. It was a nice change of scenery compared to what I'm used to. We were seated almost immediately and our drink order was taken promptly. Now you know I just had to try something from their soda fountain. There were so many good flavors there that I wanted to try, but they just have so many that it will take multiple visits to try them all. For food we got the Spicy Onion Rings and the Cheesesteak Smothered Fries. The onion rings were okay, but the fries were really good. Grew up going to Nifty fifties in the late 80's on grant avenue. Now that the Philly store has all but given up. The new Bucks County restaurant is saving the brand. Young kids working, but extremely helpful, and seem to enjoy working there. Now, the food. Even though it's not on this menu. They will let you order the Texas Tommy Smothered Fries, A+++. Came here for lunch during our time at Kids Empire and it is like a time capsule. Talk about a throw back. The shakes are massive and thick. Very good. One word: YIKES. Yikes. Yikes. Not at all like the one down in Northeast Philadelphia. I live in-between these two locations, a fifteen to a twenty minute drive each way. I'd rather try to navigate the Roosevelt Boulevard intersections in a Smart car surrounded by lifted F-150s then head up to this one. Okay, that's probably an exaggeration for a milkshake place, but still! The food's not all that different between the two locations. I think when I went this place was still getting started: their food didn't come out in the same dish ware as the Northeast locations and, egregiously, charged the same amount for a soda that didn't have free refills. Yeahhh... not great. But either way, I'm not here to complain about paying 3.25 for a small soda. Whoever designed this building needs their architectural firm shut down. It's a box! Fifties lost all their styling when they head up county line road. It's loud with no sound dampening; it comes off as a high-school cafeteria. This is a pretty far cry from the split levels and two person booths of the Northeast location. It's just off-putting and uninviting, and their food doesn't make up for it. Either way, at both locations expect a hefty wait when you come during the lunch rush. read more

Was excited for this to finally open but have to say, it doesn't keep up with the hype of the other locations. The restaurant is much smaller than the other locations I've been to which I assume means Almost always a 15 minute wait at least. I always get the Texas Tommy which is very easy and delicious, I usually do milkshakes which are also very good but this location bragged about their soda fountain which I know other locations made as special as milkshakes so we went that route. I was disappointed it's just fountain, nothing special and self serve. I could be wrong but I think the other places did have pieces of bubble gum and they also had a chocolate soda which this doesn't seem to. Also it's in a plastic cup which could be for Covid or new returning getting a feel for things but again, just nothing special to it. Also, I didn't realize it was National cheese fry day, the fries were overly done and the whiz not as fresh but that could be a one off. They do have a couple tables outside that would be a cool experience if they allow outdoor eating once it's warmer instead of paying for to go then eating there so I think we'll give another shot once the temp rises and see if it's new beginning bugs or just the new scaled back standard in this post/current pandemic controlled industry. read more
