Great food, amazing and friendly service. Got custom smash-burger and large cheese fries, and it was very good.

Different Cheesesteak #1197. Christmas came early for the cheesesteak guy! I got a cheesesteak…read morewith fried onions and mushrooms. Let's get this out of the way, The fried onions can/should be smaller and the mushrooms got lost in the cheesesteak. But those 2 things don't really matter because this a very good cheesesteak. Coach's uses fresh sliced sirloin. I'm a sirloin fan. They season the meat. It tasted like steak. Good Liscio's roll. Good amount of cheese. I hate to say this because one guy working and he got slammed with orders, would have liked a little better cheese distribution. Gotta love eating by a fireplace. Very clean grill. Bonus video of Ed cleaning the grill. PS who knew Doylestown is straight out of a Hallmark movie?!?!?!?!

I was excited when I saw they were open at 10am (but would've waited around if they didn't open until 11am). When I went in I ordered my cheesesteak: Cooper Sharp, with fried onions. As I finished saying that I was told "sorry, let me check something. We're serving breakfast until 11 and usually don't have any steak cut." I said no problem, I'll come back at 11am. They told me "don't worry about it, we'll make it for you". That was pretty impressive because I learned as I waited for my food just how busy these guys were with a ton of takeout orders. I didn't eat in the restaurant but it's definitely an option, plenty of tables in a well lit and clean dining room. I grabbed mine to go and made it to my destination in a ten minutes...the food was still piping hot. Now, I was also able to grab some wings since I heard those were good too. I opted for the Spicy Garlic sauce, which in all honesty is probably just their garlic sauce with some buffalo mixed in. No worries, it had a good flavor and there was no shortage of sauce. My only issue with the wings is the size. I'm sure I am in the minority here but I actually prefer small wings, these things are massive. But at $1 each I'm sure most people appreciate this. Now onto the steak. They use sirloin at Coach's and I honestly am fine with either Sirloin or Ribeye as long as it's not full of gristle and cut right. They also use Liscio's rolls which are some of the best around. The onions were cut the perfect size, some places it looks like Ray Charles does morning prep, not here! Every onion cut uniform and not too large plus they're were cooked perfectly. The cheese was evenly mixed through the meat that was seasoned well. Maybe a little too much pepper but at this point I'm splitting atoms. The cheesesteak was phenomenal, so good that you should absolutely make the trip to visit. There aren't many GOOD cheesesteak spots in this part of Bucks county and calling most of the GOOD is a stretch. Coach's is a GREAT cheesesteak spot and worth every penny!

We were in the mood for not only pizza but a cheesesteak. It was not a far drive from Lansdale. Parking is a large lot shared with various other businesses. Once inside we found a seat and figured out what we were going to order. There is two levels of seating available, upper and lower. We all placed orders for so many different things, pizzas, cheesesteaks, salads and a few other items. My cheesesteak was piping hot, laid into a seeded bun, wrapped up in cooper sharp cheese nestled with sauteed onions. I appreciated it being cut in half. My tiny hands need help navigating such a delicacy. Lastly, the cheese was just dripping out of it. Just how I think it should be. I have always said that what makes a sandwich starts with the bread. Their bread is amazing! Soft with a little crisp and the sesame seeds deliver. My son loved his salad that had chicken on top. It was a pretty decent portion size. The chicken slices were pretty thick. We LOVED all the pizzas. The crust is fresh and not too think. We tasted the hot honey pizza, grandma MVP, and the burrata pizza. My husband's MVP cutlet sandwich was jam packed. He really enjoyed it. There really was not one things we did not like, and we are looking forward to visiting again when we are in town. The staff was pumping out orders left and right and quality control did not see to be an issue. Our order was prepared perfectly. Pricing was on point and no complaints from me. The quality meets the price.

Unfortunately, the experience didn't live up to the reputation. We ordered Philly cheesesteaks, and while I was ready to taste something iconic, what I got was a black pepper overload. The seasoning completely overpowered the meat, which was disappointing. Even worse, the bread-to-meat ratio was way off. My roll was soggy, and no amount of mayonnaise or ketchup could save it. We also ordered onion rings and chicken tenders for our toddler. The onion rings were fried to the point of being rock hard. Not crispy, just tough. The chicken tenders were dry and flavorless. Our toddler ate some and said they were "good," but even she didn't want the leftovers the next day and neither did we. Hubby said to be fair, the staff was sweet and very accommodating, which we appreciated. However great service can't cover up subpar food. Sadly, High Steaks missed the mark for us, and in a city known for doing cheesesteaks right, that's a big letdown.

Giovanni's Pizza & restaurant is next door is owned by the husband of Mercatino's. Both places serve really good food! My bad experience there today was due to how LONG it takes to order, pay for, and get your food. WAY to long. Plus, everything is overpriced. They make you order from one of two kiosks. Kiosk ask some odd questions that force you to go to the counter to ask things like, what is pressed hot? By the time the lady had time to answer my question, my order was timed out and I had to start all over. Then my chicken cutlet ssandwich comes with broccoli rabe, but the kiosk suggested I add it and pay more for it. WHAT? The friendly lady came out from behind the counter to help me with the order. Then she asked for my email address and phone numberto complete the order. WHAT? She claimed I HAD TO input my phone number and email address to complete my order - WHAT??I We argued a minute and I said I just want to buy my sandwich which doesn't require giving out my email and phone numbeI. I finally completed my orderand asked at the counter what's next. The lady behind the counter says here's your reciept, you have to go up front to the cashier pay for it 1st. I said what the heck and she explained someone walked out, not paying so this is their procedure now. So, okay, I walked to the fron register, presented my nvoice and paid. So, again I ask what's next. The cashier hands me a paid for sticker and said go back to the counter in the rear to get your food. Okay, so I walked back to the rear counter to discover they hadn't started to assemble my sandwich yet. So, I milled aroiund with other confused looking customers waiting for their food. 20 minutes later I got my food and FINALLY left. The food is good but very expensive, the staff is friendly, but I'll never go thru that again. Their bakery is exceptional but they get it from La Dolce Vita Italian bakery in Wescoville, it's a great Italian bakery in Wescoville. Their bread comes from NY and itself is worth the trip there. The frozen section is exceptional as well. Just don't order a sandwich unless you have the day off or like me, are retired!

It was enormous and filled with meat but had a taste that was overpowering and unlike any cheesesteak I ever had. Eating it was a challenge unmet and half of it found the trash.
