I ordered pad Thai with chicken but forgot to take a picture because it looked and smelled so good that I ate it without hesitation . Also ordered the four-piece spring roll appetizer to share but we ate that, too, before taking a pic. Spring rolls were served hot (temperature) with sweet sour sauce on the side and tasty. Really enjoy having lunch at Penn's Thai Grill!

Sticky rice a bit dry. On the salty side. Pad Thai on the sour side. Noodles cooked well, textures of the ingredients were good. Thai iced tea tasted like watered down peanut butter. We weren't expecting sports bar vibes, but thought "well that's interesting." The hostess stand has the typical 'please wait to be seated' sign. However, when we went there was only one person working as the hostess, waiter/server, and food runner. So it took a bit longer for all of the above to occur including being seated, having order taken, getting food out, and paying the bill. The menu has all the typical favorites with noodle, rice and curry dishes. I ordered the chicken pad thai and my SO got the chicken pad see ew, both at a level 3 out of 5 for spiciness. The food took a bit longer than expected to arrive given the limited number of patrons, but it was piping hot when it was brought out. It was pretty good but didn't necessarily stand out as being better than average. The spiciness level was pretty on point though, and could comfortably be felt with each bite. Overall, I wish I could give it 3.5 stars, which I think is right on the money, but the lackluster service has me dropping it to 3. If we get it again, I think we'll do carry out.

The decor is nothing special, though the place was pretty clean. I ordered a lunch special that let me choose 2 entrees so I have more variety. For this, I got the red curry and fried rice, both with pork (because I couldn't choose 2 different proteins, apparently). The red curry did not have much spice nor flavor to it, and honestly all I really tasted was sweetness. That should not be the most prominent flavor profile when having red curry, and it totally threw me off. While the fried rice did taste decent, I was not a big fan of the big chunks of baby corn in it. I personally don't believe baby corn belongs in fried rice of any kind. The other elements of the lunch special, the spring roll and the sweet potato roll, were rather mediocre. Overall, the food was not authentic AND did not taste good, so my experience was pretty bad. The only saving grace for this place was the flavor of the fried rice. Food: 1.5/5 Price: 3.5/5 Overall: 2.25/5

Don't let the terrible I mean terrible service scare you away. The food will blow you away…read more We walked in no one in the parking lot and was wondering why since the reviews are really good. We were Also the only ones in the restaurant. Anyways she was really rude and didn't greet us, we got 0 refills and was not checked on the entire time dining in. So I am assuming that is why it could have been empty at 6pm. Worse service we have ever seen and we go out to eat often. We will try it one more time hoping for better service since the food was amazing but if the lady is working again and has a chip on her shoulder we will not go back no matter how good the food was. I hope the owner sees this and quickly trainers her. Now for the good part the food 10/10 and the prices were really good as well. Presentation was not pretty but we don't care about that. 1. Thia fried rice yes I know you see the picture and it looks so bland but it is far from being bland so many great flavors that will keep you going back for more. 2. Drunkin noodles the noodle texture was so nice thick rice noodles and the sauce was the perfect amount of sweet and salty 3. Tom yum noodle soup is my go to when I am ordering Thia. This one was pretty good, I do recommend getting a spice level since I didn't order it with any. It was a bit sweet. But still pretty good. 4. Fish cakes and the chicken dumplins they were ok but wouldn't order again. The inside was very clean and nicely decorated with plenty of seating and parking outside.

We like Thai and have dined at nearly all Thai in the Greater Dayton Metropolitan Area. Thai Village scores at the top of the Thai list. Expect a nice Thai menu, and we both selected Drunken Noodle -Wide rice noodle, basil, mushroom, onion, bell pepper, baby corn, basil leaves, bamboo shoot, Thai chili paste; she with chicken and he with shrimp. We like the remolded restaurant, and the floor to ceiling windows provide a neat ambience. For the second time, Benz is our server, and he does well. Caveat:The dinner portion of Seafood (Shrimp, Scallop, Squid, Mussel) has great potential. Unfortunately, all of the seafood is overdone - we cannot recommend the rubbery squid. Most folks will not like Thai Hot; so medium and hot is recommended. Thai Village is nearly full at lunch, with excellent noise levels. We recommend dinner portions in order to have extra for a future meal. We are making our rounds of Thai dining now.
