Here's the full story: I called the manager at this location on Oct 11th to ask a very basic food safety question. I asked where they source their lettuce due to the recent Cyclospora outbreak because I had a very serious GI surgery that saved my life and can't take any risks with the FDA recalled food safety issues going on. I ate some of their lettuce and was not that worried about it, but just wanted to know for peace of mind. Other restaurants in LA have been extremely kind when I asked this question and had no problem telling me (i.e. from a farmer's market, a national supplier, etc). Instead I was met with an extremely rude and dismissive tone saying she had no idea and that I should have just asked for no lettuce. I told her that I did request that and she just shrugged it off and said oh well our mistake. She very reluctantly offered to look into it for me but she sounded extremely annoyed like I was burdening her so I just ended the call and said no thanks. After sitting with it for a bit longer I felt the call was really unprofessional but decided I would call back and take her up on the offer to look the source up for me after all. I stayed professional and I calmly shared the feedback I felt she had been a bit dismissive to me on the first call. Instead of owning up to that I was met with was YELLING at the top of her lungs "What is your medical condition? That you're a little b*tch?".. my jaw dropped and she continued to hurl insults at me, telling me she "didn't care if she got fired" and she even told me to come down to the store like she wanted an in-person confrontation. At this point I lost my temper and cussed back at her because she was verbally attacking me and out of her mind, but up until now I was calm and professional. Stay FAR away from this location. The location in Santa Monica is MUCH nicer.. I called their line and they were actually willing to look up the info for me instead if behaving like an unhinged lunatic.

Simply put, this lacked no original flavor and quality was mid at best. As an aside, I "peeped" their "Chicago tavern style" and we do NOT have crust exposed on a true tavern style. Ingredients are edge to edge and cheese is burnt to the pan at the edges when they bring it out back home. Yeah some chains like Rossatti's have crust, but only a select few love that place . I am still on the hunt for real, flavor packed, correctly, assembled, above mid quality ingredients, Chicago's type deep dish her in Los Angeles. From what I saw on the pans of the only table eating on a rainy night, it looked just like all the other premade crusts I see in Los Angeles, that are mid at best. Been here over a decade.
