Got gas across the street and came here to eat on my way back from florida to chicago. I had the gyros and didnt know what to expect but was suprised at the quality and freshness of the vegetables. Looked up on yelp to find a good place for lunch. Was surprised to see this has 5 stars as it didn't look like much from the outside but wow - my husband had a low carb Mediterranean wrap and I had a turkey pesto panini - both were really good. On top of this the staff were so friendly and the place was really clean! The menu is quite extensive so would suit most people. Great place! read more

Nick's Grill was absolutely delicious! We thought the eclipse was the highlight of the day till we ate here! I had the Southwest burger that was cooked to perfection. Their onion rings were the bomb! My husband had the Blue Moon burger and couldn't stop raving about it. Don't forget to try their signature sauces. Jalapeño Ranch was my personal favorite. We're from down in Alabama, but next time we head north, we'll DEFINITELY go out of our way to eat at Nick's again. 10/10 would recommend! read more

A friend introduced me to Nicks, and boy am I glad. I have since introduced it to three of my friends, and they've all raved about it. I was there a couple of days ago and ordered the Cuban. I try to get something different when I go. This is my favorite that I've had so far. There's a delicious layer of ham and pulled pork. This is covered with mustard and melted cheese. It's pressed to a buttery crunchy bite of deliciousness!!! If you're ever passing through south Tennessee on I-65, you owe it to yourself to check this place out. Unexpected stop after finding a favorite nearby restaurant was closed that evening...now have a new favorite spot in the area! This is a neat, clean place that serves food that was described by the counter person (I think it was Nick) in detail as either "amazing" or "awesome"...oh, and one item was "fabulous". A bit old-fashioned, I don't think many things in this world qualify as "amazing" or "awesome", especially food; however, the Philly Steak sandwich makes a good run for it. Also, the Reuben was about as good as it gets. We got the beer battered homemade onion rings and they were also really good. Nick's has a counter with special sauces, including a bourbon concoction that tasted more like bourbon with brown coloring...nice flavor for onion rings. Headed thru Tennessee on our way home from vacation and looking for a place to eat lunch when we stumbled upon this small, but amazing restaurant. With a family of 5, it is sometimes hard to please 2 adults and 3 kids all at one place but this place had something for everyone with zero complaints (a win in my book if NONE of my kids complained). I had some amazing street tacos that were to die for. My husband had an amazing Philly cheese steak sandwich. My kids had chicken wings, macaroni and cheese and a cheeseburger with waffle fries. The guy at the counter (assuming he was Nick since he's the employee we saw) was super nice and very knowledgeable about their menu items. The sauces they offer are great and we tried almost all of them. There must have been at least 10 to choose from, maybe even more. I loved the fact that the owner's personal cell phone number is on every table. Now let's talk about the drink selection. Aside from the basic fountain drinks they also offer lemonade, blue raspberry lemonade, toasted coconut tea (delicious) and tons of bottled drinks including beer. I'm so glad we found this little hole in the wall local restaurant because I can't brag enough about this place. We will definitely be back as it is only about an hour drive from our home. read more

As frequent travelers, we tend to like places to eat that are not chains. The atmosphere here was VERY CLEAN and updated. The employee behind the counter was very attentive to our needs. He was so nice in going over the menu with us in detail. The chicken, bacon and ranch sub was soooo delicious. Their philly cheese steak was a large portion with tons of meat. This was such a great find! My husband and I are Vegan and for us there were some great options. We stopped on our way to and from Florida. My husband had the veggie burger twice. He loved it and the twist fries! I had the falafel wrap and fries the first time and it was awesome. It was so big that I could only eat half. Bonus! Snack for later! The second time round I had to try the veggie burger and twist fries. It was just as good as my hubby said. The rest of our party had the chicken burrito, burgers and a panini. Everyone loved there food as well. On the way home they were all excited to visit Nick's again. They loved the sauce bar. The Jalapeño Ranch seemed to be the best for the fries for my guys. I highly recommend Nick's Grill! The setting was welcoming as well. The service was just as good as the food. We met Nick and he was a great guy. He was very helpful and accommodating. We are sure this Grill will boost the ratings for the Motel 6 which sets behind it. Leaving the Alabama vs Vanderbilt game late on a Saturday night and searching for a decent place to eat. On this dark dark highway between Nashville, TN and Decatur, AL God blessed us to find Nick's Grill. Even as we entered, all the patrons waiting in line to order kept turning to us and confessing their love for the place. They even catered to my "no carb" needs with a smile. So warm and friendly. And the food was awesome!!! They even come to your table to ensure you are enjoying your food AND take up empty plates AND bring "to go" boxes if needed. All of this and they refuse to take tips! In lieu of tips, they have a donation jar on the counter. They donate the funds to local charities and nonprofits. Just amazing all the way around. My only complaint is that they don't have great signage out front. So you could very well miss this treasure if you're not purposely looking for it. But my advice to you...don't miss it! read more

Heading home from a night out in Nashville and was needing a bite to eat to get me home. Stopped here after it being suggested on my Google Maps app. The place looked very clean and received a nice greeting by the cashier. He was very helpful wt any questions we had in regards to the menu items. I ordered the southwestern panini w/ twisted fries and my spouse had the street burrito with reg. fries. I enjoyed my meal greatly!! Food was hot and fresh and loved the condiment bar that allowed you try different sauces. Didn't leave a single morsel in the basket. Stopped for lunch here recently on a Sunday after touring the JD Distillery, based on the reviews. So glad we did. (Not many places are open in these parts on Sunday, BTW.) My husband and I both agreed the burgers we ordered were the tastiest burgers we've ever had. All homemade and soaked in beef stewing broth, according to the nice young employee who was working. Moist and succulent. One order of regular fries plenty to share. Tried the Cheerwine soda--had never had it before. (They don't seem to sell it here in Southern California where we live.) Sparkling deliciousness. This place could soon develop a cult-following. Will definitely stop back in here again. read more

nice little burger joint hole in the wall, we happened to stubbly upon while getting gas on a road trip. food was great! and the guy at counter who happened to be the cook and waiter all in one was very friendly. my wife and i both had the bradshaw burger with fries burger to me was cooked perfectly, wife thought hers was little on the pink side. sauce was great and loved that it was clearly a homemade patty not a pre made frozen one. for a little shop attached to a hotel would definitely recommend little on the pricy side for a burger and fries but was a great meal none the less would definitely stop by if you happen to be in the area. read more

Stopped at this place driving through. It was ok. I really wanted to love it but it wasn't what I expected based on reviews. I wanted to give it 3.5 stars. For a hotel restaurant it was good. The place is clean and modern with a good menu. The burger just wasn't anything amazing, though it was a good size. The fries were crispy and good and the sauces were pretty good.
