This was a very pleasant surprise to find you always ask on checking into a hotel about restaurants. They always say theirs is great well this time it was true what a surprise. We had Gyros and Philly cheese steak and they were unbelievable especially for a very small place. Both sandwich's were very hot with great flavor and a ton of meat in them and the prices were also good. Staff was very fast, friendly and helpful with their opinion when asking what was best. Been here a few times. 4-5 Stars for a casual deli type restaurant in this area. Like the higher quality, fresh ingredients (such as grass fed beef). A group of four of us ate here traveling from Kentucky to Mobile, AL. We picked Nick's because of the fantastic yelp reviews, but I have to say I was kind of disappointed. I ordered the southwest panini and it was just okay. It was pretty bland. The waffle fries, however were very tasty. One of us also ordered the Cuban, which was good. We also tried the ham and cheese with pineapple. It was simple, but also really good. The chick-n-rito got really good feedback and was one of the value menu items. $4 will get you a lot of burrito. Staff was very pleasant. All-in-all a nice place, but I would not recommend the southwest panini. read more

I actually found about this place on my MSN.com feed of the "Best Burgers in Every State" so my husband and I looked this place up and it was 25 miles from our house so headed there yesterday and was shocked when we pulled in the parking lot to find the place part of a Motel 6...?? Our first reaction was "here goes food poisoning" but we proceeded inside and it was super clean, and the gentleman behind the counter was super professional and knew his menu like there was no tomorrow. My husband ordered what you would consider an all American burger and I did the mushroom swiss burger with special sauce (with fries) and also ordered a side of the chili since it was the special on the "Motel 6 sign". Well the burgers were hand packed and delicious! The fries crispy and not over seasoned. The chili at first taste was good, but we took it home to finish and did not taste good warmed up. Note, if you get the mushroom swiss burger, do not do the special sauce (only if you are a mushroom swiss burger eater) We will for sure visit this place again as they had a wide variety on their menu of Greek, Mexican, American grill, etc. The only reason I/we cannot give them a perfect score is we have not visited enough burger places in TN at this time to say this is the best burger.... read more

We hit this little spot on the way back to Indiana from Alabama. The food was awesome! This is a must-stop on the way thru. Don't go to subway or fast food. Anything you order from Nick's menu will be excellent. It is a restaurant that needs to be a model for perfection in that business. Somehow, Nick survived a rough time staying in business through the Covid pandemic and is thriving. There's something wonderful about a small restaurant located in a Motel 6, (of all places) right off Hwy 65, exit 14 that you'll never forget. It even attracts people from the small surrounding towns 10 or 15 miles away. Wife and I were staying in nearby Cornersville and came across this gem! We visited twice during our stay and could say enough great things about this place. My wife order the chicken Philly minus mushrooms as she is most certainly not of fans of mushrooms in any way and raves about the flavor of how the chicken was seasoned. On my first visit I ordered the Triple cheese Philly and let me tell you the flavor of this sandwich was incredible! The 3 cheeses combined with the peppers, onions and mushrooms was heaven to my tastebuds. On our second visit I went with the Amazing Rueben, it was indeed, Amazing! With both of my orders I went with Street Fries and Black Mamba dipping sauce. The fries themselves were delicious, seasoned well and fried to perfection. The Black Mamba sauce added a smoky and slightly spicy kick to the already tasty fries, my wife order the Sweet Potato fries with her meal and added the Whatever sauce to them. Again these fries did not disappoint, I tried them off her plate. The Whatever sauce added a light honey mustard flavor which pairs so well with sweet potato fries. All of this coupled with it easy on/off access from I-65 make this a must stop place to eat! We will definitely be back next time we come through this area. We were traveling south on I-65 and wanted a good local place to stop. We found the perfect diner in Nick's. The staff were all super friendly, patient, and helpful. My sons a picky eater and he really loved the beer battered fries. They had a variety of menu choices from burgers to falafel's. The sweet tea is delicious and tastes fresh. After a long day of driving on the Interstate, my lady friend and I pulled in to a Motel 6 for the night. It was a very pleasant surprise to find a restaurant attached to the Motel 6, and downright shocking to discover how truly excellent the food and service was at this wonderful, inexpensive bistro/cafe. I had the gyro with waffle fries, and my lady friend had what she described as an "AMAZING" Cuban sandwich. Service was great, with a very friendly greeting from a nice gentleman we presume to be Nick. He described various dishes in such glowing terms that I joked that he was setting himself for high expectations. Thankfully, he was not making empty boasts. This is truly one of the best places I've ever been in for this kind of food; indeed, I've eaten at expensive bistros in big cities that don't make the food as good as this. What a cute clean friendly little cafe! Would NEVER have found it without knowing it was in same building as Motel 6. Nick even split our Cuban and sweet potato fries in half and served them in two baskets. Cuban was large, very hot and just perfect! Sweet potato fries were hot, tasty and not loaded with salt.
