Ticket prizes lowered from original.

This place used to be our go to stop a couple years ago. However in 2024, it will no longer be our go to arcade for the for SLC area. Half of the machines are completely broken and you can't play, other machines don't pay out jackpots or are missing vital buttons to their functionality. The lack of respect this arcade has received from its owners is sickening. You still pay the same entry fee and amounts to the games even though half of them don't work and their prizes have been lowered. Do not come here and do not support them. The only good thing I can say is it has remained relatively cheap for the the economy we live in.

We tried out Nickel City tonight as a family and we had a great time! We were surprised how busy it was on Wednesday night, but apparently it's the place to go for date night for college kids. The entry price was $2.50 per person and you can add as much money to your card after that. It had a lot of fun different games. The games were mostly for older aged kids around 5+. My daughter was is 2 was able to play most of the games with help. We put $10 on each kids game card and ended up with around 65 tickets. The prizes for tickets were not the great unfortunately and you had to earn a lot of tickets for the good prizes. The staff working there was very friendly and informative.

Easy to use, reasonable prices. I did not feel like this was a grimy hole in the wall like most arcade places are. It was decently crowded on a Friday afternoon with all age groups. They have a good variety of games. Our favorites were Deal or No Deal, Guitar Hero, Basketball, DDR, and Space Invaders. The employees are helpful and cheery. We spent $5.00 on entry ($2.50 each) and another $15.00 in nickels to put on our game card. That kept us busy for about an hour and a half. The prizes are dollar store finds with some cool stuff mixed in between. We came away with a cool Indian flute and some candy. Great place to kill an hour or so.

No more Nickels and tickets!! Points and tickets on Cards. Same value as nickels....less to carry around!

A ridiculously awesome and cheap way to spend the night - air hockey, guitar hero, pac-man, and a Zoltar? I was impressed!

Never go there on a weekend. Insanely packed. Hordes of unsupervised children. Tons of wait times to even try a machine.

Provo Beach - The FlowRider

The FlowRider is AWESOME!!!…read more My wife and I made the trip up from Las Vegas for my birthday over the Thanksgiving Holiday weekend. We booked a surf lesson at 2PM, but due to some timing issues had to move it to 3PM which the team was more than helpful in accommodating. It's hard to believe it can be as cold as the high 20s outside and you're inside catching waves on the FlowRider. The pool area is well heated and the water was warm. There are plenty of grandstands for people to sit and spectate. They have lockers to hold / secure your stuff while you catch waves. They have bathrooms for changing, and showers to clean up after (the only thing I wish they had was more areas in the bathrooms to hang or set your stuff down while you shower or change. Even a small foldaway table would have been helpful). Our lesson was essentially a 60 minute private since my wife and I were the only two in the session. Our instructor John was super friendly, helpful, and informative. He gave us a quick overview and had us riding waves within the first few runs, and if you wiped out (which is pretty painless and fun) he'd have some pointers for you for your next run. We each would do 3-4 runs and then trade off and as long as we had the energy John was at the ready to help catch waves. This was a total five star experience, and I can't wait to do it again! It looks like they also have GA type session where you pay the hourly fee and it's open to the public for everyone to use in turn. However, I'd highly recommend a lesson if it's your first time out. You can also rent either half or whole of the FlowRider by the hour should you have a private event or just want to hone your skills.

Our family loved the laser tag which you get to do three times with that pass. Bowling and the ropes course was also a lot of fun. The mini croquet seemed run down and lame but part of that is probably due to the fact that we have no idea how to play croquet. Rules posted somewhere would've been helpful. All in all this is a really cool place to spend your time.

Hang Time Adventure Park - Giant ball pit and slide

Hang Time Adventure Park

We had a mixed experience here and although it's a good if not great place for many and even we saw…read moreit looked fun, there was a single incident that occurred that disturbed us greatly. Our 7 year old was attacked by other attending older kids and what looked like a brother and sister, together approached our son who was minding his own business and is timid and petite, then the 2 older kids together pushed with great force, our son from atop a platform down into a foam pit below, to our shock and his surprise. That being said, I'd say it's hard for Hang Time to police the activities of kids that go rogue, break house rules and engage in violent bullying behavior. I wished there was maybe more security. I was able to record it because we video our son in gleeful spirits and new experiences, and it just so happened within a 25 second recording we did document the incident (and posted the video in 2 parts on Hang Time's Yelp page for their review and our substantiating the claims with clear cut evidence). Why do I give them a "Good" * * * * Four Star review instead of something more appropriate per our experience, a lot lower? Well, again, I don't think i was necessarily Hang Time's fault, 'tho maybe responsibility in part, not something they could have prevented or easily policed. We did not report the kids to the facility because it happened on 12/23/23 and being the holidays, took the high road not to get them in trouble (and kicked out). Maybe in hindsight we should have, but we didn't (tho shared the video with friends and they were all shocked and they themselves had similar opinions of these kids and believed they should have been punished). Overall, the facilities are clean, it's organized, spacious and kids can have fun here. They charge by the hour, require sticky/grippy socks, but that's pretty standard with most indoor playlands we've gone too.

It also has surface targets instead of the recessed holes and therefore the scoring seemed much different than usual. It's only a few years old, so I'm not sure if the differences are cost cutting measures. But I was a bit disappointed. I did think it was cool that they had a small miniature golf course out front and it looked like a realistic course with hills and sand bunkers etc. We arrived earlier than our reservation and they informed us they are weren't ready for us, so we headed to the bar. Right after we ordered drinks we get a text asking if we were here. We responded here. Next thing we know it says our bay will be ready shortly. We try to fast track our drinks only to wait another 15ish minutes to get our assigned bay right at 6:15pm. We were on the second floor. Instead of the couch like setting, it had a bar table with high top chairs. The one cool thing, is the screen above the ball delivery box so you could see where your call went vs looking back at the screen near the seating area. The glare from bright lights coming from businesses/buildings beyond the range made it hard to see where the ball was in the air or where it landed. The food is expensive. Portions are small, but food is usually good just not very filling. If you order food and drinks it gets expensive. We played 2 hours with some adult beverages and food and it was $155 before tip. Service was just ok. I've had better. We ordered waters and had to ask twice to get them. Paid extra for a second sauce and never got it. I should have complained but it was only a $1. I think overall I prefer the Midvale location vs the Vineyard one.
