They had both tracks open. The go karts were fast and fun! 2 members of our party were late and not allowed to race, BE ON TIME! They wouldn't refund me for the missing racers but they do credit your account. There isn't really room to pass so they have people hold up signs to tell you to move over which is nice. You are allowed 12 racers at once. Pricey but fun. They also had an arcade with prices. You get a free race for your birthday too!

This speak-easy meets electric racing cars is just what we needed. The whole experience felt very adult, while the go kart racing made us all feel like kids. The check-in process and reservation system was a little arduous but it all worked out for our group of 8. Would definitely come back again.

A little pricy but a great time! I have done other go karts like K1 speedway and this experience was much better. There are multiple levels and lots of interesting hairpins and descending s curves. The carts get good speed and you can use a boost every lap. Other than racing there are still things to do so come early. There is an arcade with unlimited games for 15 min that was a lot of fun. Would definitely recommend as something new to doing

Great karting experience! I've been to many of the K1 and other gas powered tracks and this three level track is both well taken care of and a ton of fun! Karts have been in great condition for each of my visits, the place gets busy, so be sure to book your race ahead of time in their website.

Can't say enough about this place, but mostly the staff. Well... mostly EVERYTHING. Had a rough start to things, as I made a reservation for me and my 13yo son online, but the website didn't mention anything about non-driver licensed people not being able to drive without a qualification race first... let's just fast forward, because we ended up driving all the way down there then had to reschedule for the next day, blah blah... I was a little pissed that I blocked off the afternoon and got denied, but we figured things out. This track is outSTANDING! Seriously. I though K1 was the "best" around, but K1 seems 1975 compared to this place. Yeah... not a snowball's chance in Hell are we ever going back to K1. I want to point out the staff, particularly Les (I really hope I remembered your name correctly). Regardless, Les is the Track monitor with the shaved head. This guy made my afternoon. He was genuinely excited about The Grid, and you could tell he LOVES his job. He was a blast to chat with and never, not one single time, rushed me out because they had the next Heat coming in. Really, he made me feel like I owned the place. Sounds strange, but it's true. The guy completely made us want to come back a hundred more times. ***If Management is reading this, keep an eye on this guy... he will prove extremely valuable if Sales positions open up!*** Anyway, this track is grippy and the slicks on these karts are 100% legit. The karts themselves are SPOTLESS. The track and karts looked like it was opening day. The building outside, inside, lighting, ambiance, it felt like something out of Disneyworld. It really did. The race was phenomenal and the boost buttons on the carts were awesome! THREE LEVELS of track!!! Up, up some more, then a DOWN slope that makes you hold your breath! I'm actually a bit speechless right now... so many descriptions that I can't put them into words. I asked about a membership (because we are ABSOLUTELY going back!), but the girl at the desk said they are revamping the memberships and they aren't available just yet. But just KNOW that you have to try this place at LEAST once! Les!! Thanks again, brother!!!

Super fun! We came here for a company team building event and everyone had a great time. They let us bring our own pizza and they provided drinks and gave us an hour in the arcade too! I'd definitely come back!

The party was in a shared party room and at first we were the only one. So it felt like a really intimate private event and we were able to play our music like we wanted to, and then toward the end of our party we had to share the space a little bit. But with the party package the hostess secured we received unlimited drinks from the fountain machine, pizza, and salad. They provided all of the dishes and cleaned up. The birthday child also received a giant card available to be signed by the guests. I don't know if this was just something that our hostess secured or if it's normally an option but she was also able to get passes with a $5 (or so) arcade card for $20 a person. The pass gave us access to unlimited activities and we could reload our arcade card if we wished. Of the activities that I recall are: Laser tag (So fun for adults and kids!), bumper cars, bumper boats, mini golf, bowling, rock climbing, and racing cars (I can't remember the actual name of it). We were not there for long enough to get to do anything more than once because we wanted to experience so much, then I bet if we went back and we went in at open we would be able to enjoy a lot. There's also a food area should you want to buy food or lunch while you are there. I don't know the rules on exiting and re-entering.

(Except the arcade games) Or, you can pay for mini golf or bowling separately for $10 per person. We first did the mini golf. Turns out he mini golf course is only 9 holes, and it's honestly the smallest course I've ever been to. Each hole is VERY easily completed in two hits. Our 4 year old and 2 year old did have fun, but even at their super slow pace we completed the course quickly. It was nice that they told us we could go around twice, but even then it didn't last long. I was left feeling that $40 was extremely steep for what we had just done. So for our older boy, we paid another $15 to get him access to drive the little kid go karts at least. I thought he would LOVE it, but there weren't any other kids doing it and the course is just a tiny circle so he got bored quickly So we then took him over to the foam pit. This was the most fun for him and he would have easily spent all night playing there While he played, we just got a $5 arcade card and took the little guy to play a few games. This was only enough to play 4 games, but the ticket return was pretty high. Managed to get a handful of little toys. Overall, I came away fairly underwhelmed. $25/person two hours of a variety activities at first seems cool, but each activity on its own just really isn't very exciting and $25 each adds up quickly. For a family of four you're dropping $100 for two hours. My thoughts are, if you want to go bowling, just hit up a bowling alley, if you want a cool indoor playground for the kids with a foam pit go to a dedicated indoor playground, and if you want to play mini golf, go somewhere like the boondocks, etc etc. you'll spend half the money you would at the rush and have just as much, if not more fun.

Night Lights hosts a lantern event at the Utah Motorsports Campus (UMC) three times a year. It's about a 45 min drive from SLC. The tickets sell out fast so I would recommend getting on the waitlist as soon as you know you're going to go. https://www.nightlightsevent.com/utah Pro Tip: If you're going to attend this event, keep in mind the following things. -Bring portable outdoor chairs and blankets. It's going to be a bit of a wait before the lanterns launch and you'll need to pick a spot in the crowd to set up a mini camp. Outside food and drinks are not allowed but they do have food trucks and s'mores kits onsite. -Group Setting. It's better to attend this event in a group (2+ or more) if you plan on lighting the lanterns. It's possible to light it yourself but it's quite a challenge if there are strong winds. -Dress accordingly to the weather and bring insect repellent. Depending on the area, there could be swarms of mosquitos and gnats. It will start off hot in the day but can get colder throughout the night. Some people will bring outdoor blankets. -Arrive early. Plan to arrive two hours early before the lanterns are lit up. This allows you to pick a spot to camp and get dinner from the various food trucks. -Central Location. When setting up camp, I would reccomend being somewhere in the middle of the lantern lighting area to maximize light impact. If you're located on the edges, then your pictures won't turn out as well in comparison to being in the middle. Even though your pictures will turn out better, you're also more at risk of breathing in the fire pit smoke and getting hit by the lanterns that are released by other groups. TL;DR (Beware) Central location = Better pictures, greater risk of breathing in black smoke and getting hit by fire-lit lanterns. -Dirty and Black Smoke. For those with asthma or sensitivity to smoke, I would highly recommend to skip this event. Night Lights sell "s'mores kits" which comes with a fire pit, a bag of marshmallows, box of Graham crackers, and skewers. These fire pits are fun BUT cause a lot of smoke in the area and can make it hard to breathe for some people. (See attached picture) -Allow the lantern to completely fill up with air before letting it go. There were soooo many people who released their lanterns too early and the lanterns ended up floating on the ground and almost burning people. I'm pretty certain some people may have actually gotten burnt but fortunately my group didn't get impacted and there was medical staff on-site. Overall, the pictures are memorable and the event turned out fun. I would recommend attending it at least once in your lifetime. Would you go? Let me know. And then the cherry on top was when we took our toddlers to turn in their tickets for prizes. It's already an absolutely ridiculous scam: you pay like $50 to play games that earn your kids like $5 of stupid cheap plastic prizes. But that's an established practice: we all know the drill. Where it really went south quickly is when the girl behind the counter gave my kid a cheap little parachute toy, I opened it for him at the counter, and it was clearly broken. Then I casually said "can you replace this since it's broken?" And the girl told me she needed to get approval. I thought she was joking. We're talking about replacing a 5 cent crappy toy that we heard just earned with like $10 worth of credits. But no, she said she wasn't allowed to do anything about it until she got approval. So we sat there and waited for like 5 minutes for her supervisor to have a free minute to tell her she was allowed to replace a cheap little plastic toy that was broken when it was handed to us. Just to be clear, I don't blame the kids operating this place. This is clearly a management issue. All the kids working there are scared to do anything wrong. But sadly, penny-pinching isn't going to make this place successful.
