    Fun play area

We love going here. It's a nice outing that lasts for us about 30 minutes - more or less some days with children. Our favorite place is going to the kid's play area which they finally opened, yay! It's fun for parents to learn and kids have fun learning about animals too.

It's clearly been a few years since I've been here and it's totally remodeled. It's really nice now and they have a lot of new displays and new things for the kids to play with. Seeing all the animals was always fun. Then add to all of this, it's free. Great activity with the kids and it's air conditioned. Can't get much better than that.

This is hiding in the play cave!

My kids loved this place. There were all kinds of amazing things to see around every corner. You can't beat free admission. We ended up spending money in the gift shop instead . There is a little area in the back for toddlers to play and get their wiggles out. Watch out there's a bear in the cave!!

We have made it our tradition to at least attend the museum each spring break. My boys love all the animals and they always learn something new each time. It is such a nice perk to be able to attend for free. We have been following the progress of the beautiful mural upstairs and can't wait to see it finished. We always finish off the trip with ice cream just around the corner at the BYU creamery.

Great museum at the BYE campus , clean and free to the public. Lots to see and staff are very helpful.

Our guy is 20 months old and had the best time running around and discovering everything. He especially loved the little make-believe town and playing with all the different interactive elements but the water tables were the clear favorite! He could've stayed there forever. Such a fun, engaging experience for kids and parents alike. We can't wait to go back and explore even more next time! PS they supply aprons and water boots in the water table room! Super convenient. I suggest bringing a change of clothes or some PJS to change your little one into in case they get soaked!

The amount of unruly older aged kids running amok pushing and shoving younger kids to play hide & seek was absolutely obnoxious!!! Throwing legos and plastic balls throughout the museum without anyone stopping them parents or staff was totally uncalled for and now I know why barely anything works here. I'm thankful I didn't pay admission fees because I would be sorely disappointed in tear my money paid for. The reviews and photos online make this place out to be so much better than our experience today. The Children's museum downtown is, not only cleaner, it's more taken care of & supervised by staff way better than this museum. It's like adults dropped off their middle school kids and left them unsupervised.

This place is beautifully curated and thoughtfully laid out,…read morewith a mix of traditional and modern pieces, plus a strong emphasis on local and regional artists. You can really feel the connection to Utah's cultural history, which makes it stand out from larger, more generic museums. The building itself is stunning--Spanish Colonial Revival architecture with peaceful courtyards and quiet corners to sit and take in the art. It's not overwhelming in size, but theres plenty to see and the rotating exhibits are always interesting and well done. Staff and volunteers are friendly, and the whole place feels very welcoming. Great spot for art lovers, families, or anyone looking for a quiet, reflective experience. They also are a perfect venue for wedding receptions. Easily worth a stop if you're anywhere near Springville or Provo. Also, back in the day when I was in the BYU Russian & German Choirs, we performed here a few times. Not sure if they still do that, but if so, you might just stumble into a surprise concert mid-gallery stroll. Nothing like quietly admiring a landscape painting while 20 students suddenly start singing in Russian or German behind you. It can be equal parts beautiful and mildly disorienting--but in a good way.

There was an apple cider press with samples, story telling, music making, and various other activities. It was fun to do pioneer games as they had equipment for the hoop toss, barrel ring run, stilts, etc. There are various historical buildings that were either restored, or relocated to this village. All very interesting. There are information placards, some with QR codes for more photos or videos of what is being explained. There is also a QR code for a self-guided tour. I recommend visiting here for a good dose of pioneer appreciation. (Pics are to show the real name of this place.) 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good.
