Went here for dinner with my husband and best friend on a Friday night at 8:30pm and we were the only ones in the restaurant! Because it is in MSG, the dinner rush is always around 4pm before their events begin, so we had the whole place to ourselves. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. We had the slab bacon (melt in your mouth good, while also being crispy); a yummy octopus appetizer with potatoes (not on the menu but recommended by our server); and my friend had the New England clam chowder, which was on the lighter side, and also good. I had the 10 oz. filet mignon, and my husband and friend had the ribeye. We ordered macaroni and cheese and creamed spinach to share as sides, which were also very tasty. My friend and I shared the warm chocolate cake for dessert, which was good, but I've had better, to be honest. Still, they're a steakhouse, and they did them beautifully! There's a reason this place has 3.6 stars on Yelp. It's a steakhouse and they don't know how to cook a steak. My friend and I both got a steak. My steak was less thick than my friend's steak and we both asked for the steak to be cooked medium. You can't cook steaks that are different thickness for the same duration..basic common sense. Aged New York strip below average. Coconut oil that was seemingly was used to be fry the steak on ruined the taste, making the crust sweet. The Filet minogn on the other-hand was excellent. Halibut special was overcooked. Tuna steak lacking flavor and sear. Bread was fantastic with an amazing olive spread. Mac and cheese very good. Deserts were way below average. Best of them was the key lime pie. Chocolate cake was horrible. Donuts were average. Coffee lukewarm. For these high prices, service and food has to be better. My bachelorette group and I had dinner here on Saturday night of our weekend! First of all, the place itself was amazing and the staff were incredibly friendly! The staff truly made us feel like we were VIP's! The food was phenomenal! Hands down some of the best food I have had in the city so far! Emphasis on that because it's our preference and I'm pregnant and my OB has given strict orders for ways I have to eat my food ect due to health issues with this pregnancy. Both of ours came so raw they were mooing. The waitress was so kind and sent them back to be cooked. One steak came back cooked and the other still really raw and bleeding so my husband just decided to eat it and gave me his cooked one because we were on a time crunch. The steaks honestly were not great or really seasoned at all. I had such high hopes too from how many good things I heard about this place. However the mashed potatoes were amazing and the highlight of my meal! The sides are enough for 2 people so be mindful that you'll have leftovers or that you have the option to share. Back to the amazing service, our waitress felt bad about the steaks and gave us dessert the house which was so sweet! The maple was great but the bacon cubes I was not crazy for. I prefer the bacon slabs like Peter Luger serves. 1 thick slice, not cubes. The oysters were great . Despite it being busy with a concert at MSG, service from Ekin was top notch and he was a delight to chat with and made a perfect cosmo in a chilled just right martini glass. Chef's kiss. The steak was a dream- perfect medium rare filet that melted in your mouth. Sauce wasn't needed but they were flavorful and fun to try. Steakhouse prices but sane enough that you want to get a side and/or dessert. Whole place is just a classic steakhouse experience. Oh, my God! Dry-rubbed rib eye steak. Absolutely mouthwatering. The cheddar popcorn was totally addictive. Our server was attentive, engaging and thoughtful. I loved that many of the beautiful bottles of wine came with handwritten tasting notes. It made the wine tasting that much more special. My only complaint was my take-out container. I came here for an anniversary dinner with my honey, it seemed like we came right before a Rangers game so the place was packed with lots of hockey fans. We were sat at a 2-person table right next to another table, as if they split a 4-person table and put 5 inches in between. It was pretty uncomfortable, and really strange too considering there was an open 2-person closer to the wall that would've made more sense to sit at. Our steaks were decent, and we got the calamari to start. The crispiness was impressive and we ate it all, but it was quite salty. I ordered the filet mignon with a side of truffle fries - the truffle fries were WAY too salty. My husband got the NY strip with a side of mushrooms, which was a great pairing. Went to the Florence and the Machine Show at the Garden on Friday night and my girlfriend and I arrived at 5pm and had about two hours before they opened the doors. My girlfriend has Celiac's and a soy allergy, so finding places that are safe can be difficult at times. Concerns of cross contamination and kitchens and staff that don't know the ingredients usually is a problem we face when dinning out. She was able to find a place right at the Garden, and it turned out to be a great decision. The staff here was absolutely fantastic and it started with our server Alexis Tapia. From the beginning he went out of his way to check all the items we ordered to make sure they were safe or told us what modifications and options were available that could make it safe. Alexis even went as far as having the head chef, Daniel come out to go over the dressings and sauces that were safe. The Chef told us his daughter had food allergies as well and genuinely was concerned about providing a delicious and safe meal. On Alexis' suggestion we had the burrata salad as well as the chef salad for appetizers and shared a 32oz ribeye special medium rare. The food came out promptly and the salads were fresh, delicious, and great to share. The Ribeye was cooked perfectly, and honestly melted in our mouths! Although we were dressed casually for the show, Alexis and the rest of the staff treated us with the utmost respect and care and made for a memorable experience. To top things off, Alexis took us to the VIP entrance to the Garden, which allowed us to cut through the lines getting inside. We had a great time and already have made reservations when we see Billy Joel on October 9th with my family! read more

I stopped in for an upscale bite to eat before attending a Rangers game (I wanted a classy meal to memorialize my first visit to MSG), and I was absolutely NOT disappointed. Although I lacked a reservation on a busy hockey game night, the hostess was able to find me a seat without just dumping me off at the bar (which is usually where solos end up), and she was pleasant about it! The table linens were clean, as was the restaurant, and it was quite apparent that this was THE place to eat before a Madison Square Garden event. I ordered the ribeye (dry aged, 20 ounce) and the sautéed spinach as my side (plus a Coke Zero, which they had--bonus!). My steak, ordered medium rare, was cooked perfectly, and the sautéed spinach was delicious! My server was attentive, though not obtrusive, and had me in and out of there in plenty of time to catch the Rangers' warm-up skate.
